Hiya, AChronum here! Although I'm relatively new to rping, I have plenty of writing experience and love trying new genres and styles. I absolutely love high magic fantasy RPs and am pretty much willing to do anything so long as I can create a charaxter, not play an existing one, and develop lots and lots of backstory! I'm perfectly comfortable with all mature themes as well, although smut for smut's sake is out of the question.

Interested in an RP? Send me a PM and have a magically marvelous day!

Nao rushed into the cafeteria, out of breath, glancing at his watch. Fifteen minutes before math class. Geometry they called it. Having been outside the education system for years, he had been taking mostly remedial class for the duration of his stay here. Oh how he loathed these classes. How normal students struggled through years of this, he'd never know. Why would he ever need to know the different angles inside an octogon, he'd never know, He grumbled as he wove between students and tables, mouth watering as he approached food. Lots of people grumbled about the subpar quality of food but after eating gruel, bread, and a few vegetables for years, this was amazing.

Then the screaming started. People churned and jostled others around as a small metal projectile zipped around the room. What was it called. Vaguely remember it from Earth Space science last year... He snapped his fingers. A rocket! That thing that carries things past the planet's edge into space. But this one was small and... hurtling towards a child? That's not the proper use of those as far as he is aware. This was going to be messy. He glanced down and started loading a plate with food while everyone was diverted. He'd help take the kid to the infirmary afterwards.

"Hey!! Heads up!" An older boy swatted the thing out of the way. He seemed familiar. The shield made something click. James Rogers, grandson of Steve Rogers though better known as Captain America, was a bit of a local celebrity. Nao didn't know much about the grandfather outside of the litany of reading materials on the man in history class. He knew even less than that on his grandson, outside of what some nasty rumors circulated and that apparently he had some anger issues. Although he didn't interact directly with the poor students, he couldn't help overhearing while he did inventory or restocked. Though he was the last person to judge anyone.

Then another student turned into an iron man like creature. This was new. He didn't recall this particular piece of technology being covered in class. Must be advanced class stuff. It looked like a demon was taking over a body really. Can't be comfortable. Nao continued to munch on eggs as the now metal covered boy launched himself into the air and snatched at the rocket with thin metal strands. Definitely better but not something that would be perminate as it stayed in flight.

"Some help would be nice though. Please?" Oh yep, not an actual solution. Um, could he help? He wasn't particularly good with tech- He stumbled forwards as some punk screaming his head off bolted for the door. His food hit the floor, the plate rattled. His eyes turned completely black.

"This nonsense has gone on long enough!" He snarled and held out a hand towards the rocket. A long incantation cause a black and red magic circle to whirl into existance at his fingertips and five thin black shafts hurled at the rocket before piercing it. He held the magic circle for a while, waiting to launch more if it moved. Blood started dripping from his finger tips.
ao rubbed absently at the triangular rune on his forehead as he finished marking the small vials of purple liquids. These were for the allergy affliction, specifically for those who didn't respond well to modern medicines. Nature related powers generally rejected modern medicines so it was good to have some on hand if they ever needed it. He glanced at the brewing schedule. A heavy sigh escaped. The Laevo brewing was a pain. Nao stored away the bottles and waved his hand as the shimmering curtain around him, dismissing it. Although the warding unnecessary here, old habits die hard.

Suddenly noise from outside slammed into Nao. He frowned. It was only two in the morning, who was up at this hou- he froze as he peaked through the blinds. People swarmed the Academy grounds, speedsters zipping between students, a few telekinetics tossing a football between them, and a pair of teleported playing tag. If new arrivals were here... He glanced down at the contraption known as a watch. A gift from one of his professors when they realized he wasn't purposefully late to class, just used a candle to keep a loose track of time. Seems the mistake he made yesterday afternoon took up more time than anticipated. He'd been working for just over twenty four hours. Now that he had a second, his stomach growled loudly and he felt the shaking in his hands. He sighed and picked up his bag before leaving and locking the door behind him. First, a change of clothes and a quick shower then food.

He stuck to some of the lesser traveled pathways of the Academy. It was a new year, people were excited and happy. He disn't need to ruin it with his stoic face and awkward mannerisms. Just over 5'9 and kind of lanky, Nao moved as if he wasn't fully comfortable in his own skin and treaded lightly. It tended to unnerve those not used to him. Really, he just avoided people in generally especially when he hadn't showered in a full day. There was a time he wouldn't even have considered a shower. In the coven, you hopped in the stream. Warm water on demand was such a mercy. Rivers got cold in the winter after all.

Arriving at his dorm, he recited the incantation at the door popped open. Unlike most, Nao specifically requested his door only to be opened by magic. Of course, non magic user administrators could still access the room but someone wandering into his room while he was having a nightmare could be hurt beyond help. It was safer just to deny access to most. The door shut behind him, seamlessly blending with the wall.

He had decorated his dorm room in warm yellows and oranges and red. Fall was his favorite season and he liked to be surrounded by the colors. A few shelves adorned the walls, jars and vials of powders and herbs lined next to books. A small writing desk across from his desk held a stack of neatly organized folders and pens, which he had nearly passed out from delight holding. A miniature quill with ink in it was an amazing sight to behold. At the foot of his bed sat a large trunk covered in wardings. Inside were tomes he stole for the coven after it destroyed itself. The covered everything from sacrificial offering preperations to spells accessing the very depths of another's mind. The Academy nearly confiscated them but a temper flare that resulted in half a building's water pipes exploding convinced them otherwise. Instead they warded the ever lasting hell out of the trunk. Only a few people on the campus knew how to unlock it.

Nao tossed his bag onto the bed before rushing into the shower. He still had trouble figuring out the dials but eventually rinsed away his exhaustion. He looked in the mirror as he brushed his teeth. Dark circles had started moving in again underneath his eyes. Another scolding was coming. Oh well. He jammed himself into a black long sleeve sweater, a pair of kahakis, and slung on his lab coat. Snatching up his bag, Nao bolted. If he hurried, he'd have time for a decent meal.

Hiya @Jones Sparrow I have a submission if you'd take a look and let me know if I need to edit it!

@Midnight Flame Character Submission if you are still doing this!

I think this has been pretty fun! I haven't been posting cause I'm kinda out cold right now!

Look out below!

Alexander whipped around as the armored prince came hurtling down and sent the civilian flying off his card. What was with toni- The though cut off half way as the supposed civilian transformed and hauled himself back up to the platform. The boy collapsed and Alexander just blinked. It took a moment for everything to set in. The boy’s confusion was plain to tell and well who wouldn’t be. But the universe just had to have its fun. Right now. No witch sure. Instead, a newly realized sun prince. Alexander’s mouth hardened as Smoky snatched the front of the boy’s shirt and practically snarled.

It reminded him of his first transformation. Thankfully, two other moon princes had been around to help. The exhilaration as magic flooded his veins seemed to make the night all the more beautiful. Moonlight waltzing with the soft glow of city night, a cool breeze carrying a scent of flowers above the rooftops, the sound of cars and people passing below. The two helping him learn the ropes told him to stay in the area while they checked out a recently manifested field. They encouraged him to spread his magical wings so to say but not to stray too far away. He teleported eagerly across the small rooftop while flipping cards out in random patterns.

Boredom quickly set in. He roamed further and further away from the original point, teleporting aimlessly around just because he could. That’s when he first encountered the sun princes. He tried to stay hidden, watching them kill off a few shadows, but they noticed him almost immediately. A voice in the back of his mind whispered run and he bolted as quickly as he could. The two hooted and hollered, practically dancing around the inexperienced Moon Prince, thoroughly enjoying the chase before tackling him down mid jump. Apparently, the pair decided their job was to educate Moonies who wandered into their turf. The lesson didn’t leave his skin for several days after that. Thank the heavens for concealer. It would have been awkward to explain to his Mom.

He looked down at the kid thoughtfully. They could do the same but it wouldn’t really have the same impact. The sun princes would probably just mock the poor kid and Alexander wasn’t really into beating the stuffing out of someone that didn’t deserve it. Alexander clucked his tongue disapprovingly at the situation. What could he do that… An idea flickered through his mind. A cold, wicked smile unfurled across his lips.

‘I’ll deal with this Smokey. I have the perfect idea in mind.’ Alexander purred across the link. He picked the boy up gently and looked around. Most of the shadows cleared out, the remaining princes could probably handle the situation themselves. He felt a small twinge of guilt as he watched the conductor but this was an opportunity he couldn’t give up. A trickster couldn’t keep his throne without some surprises after all. He’d just have to deal with this tomorrow.

‘Alrighty listen up Smokey, Conductor. You should have enough to deal with the remaining shadows but I recommend moving away from the Lord of Thorns down there. Seems to be extra prickly tonight.’ He flitted off to a nearby roof top. Weaker than most princes, Alexander was still stronger than a normal person and this waif of a boy didn’t weigh much to begin with. ‘The bond will drop once I’m out of the area and my cards will as well. However, we need to have a discussion. Meet outside the front entrance of Yagami High at the end of the school day and we’ll head over to my house. We’ll have some privacy away from the eyes of prying Sun Princes.’ With that, Alexander sped off across the rooftops. He didn’t want Petal Prince noticing their absence anytime soon.

Alexander flicked the last card into place, sealing off the circle. With a quick nod to the other prince, he reached up to tap Smokey’s forehead lightly. A softly glowing pink dot appeared and a hushed click in the back of his head signaled the established bond. He clapped his hands together and rubbed them excitedly. A grin spread across his face.

‘Fantastic! The link is set. Now you just have to think and we can talk to each other!’ He turned to look at the bubble thoughtfully, ‘Organization is key to success in a fight and the first step is getting the high ground. This bubble is going to slow us down.’ He drew three cards and slashed the bubble until it popped, reaching in to grab the boy before he fell. He looked a tad younger than Alexander and more than a little confused, though an odd glint in the civilian’s eyes made Alexander pause. Is that… excitement? Alexander pondered to himself but shook it off. No matter now. He snatched up the boy’s collar and slammed him against the barrier, eyes narrowing.

‘Listen here pretty boy. If you value your life, you listen to everything that comes out of my mind. That’s the only thing getting you-” Alexander’s face twitched and he started chuckling silently before releasing the boy. ‘Sorry, sorry! Always wanted to stick the tough guy routine but never can really. But seriously, listen to me if you want to survive. And don’t worry too much about everything; you’ll forget it all when you leave.’ Alexander flipped out a ramp and zipped up it, dragging the civilian up by the hand. He laid a flat card out thirty feet up and motioned for Smokey to follow.

‘Quickly Smokey! We’ll put together a quick plan up here and methodically obliterate…’ His thought trailed off as he glanced back at the Petal Prince. He stopped to deal with a few mob of shadows a block away it seemed but what caught his interest was the magical power that had appeared. It was definitely a Moon prince but they had launched themselves into the fray. Right next to the Lord of Thorns. On an "extra prickly' night. ‘By the heavens, doesn’t the boy have ANY preservation instincts?’ the though growled across Smokey’s bond. He tipped his hat off his head and concentrated on the new prince as it rolled down his arm before flipping it up with a flick of his fingers and caught it in his other hand. With a twist of his wrist, he snatched the new prince from inside his hat and threw a card through. The new prince landed on his feet a few feet away and Alexander whirled around before poking the new boy’s head hard, bringing him into the link between himself and Smokey.

'I'm trying really hard not to believe you're suicidal. Never ever go near a sun prince, especially that one, without backup. You're more likely to end up in a gutter somewhere than helping.' Alexander looked him over and sighed. A civilian and a crazy prince. The only way to make tonight more complicated would be a Witch and that was the last thing he wanted right now. He rubbed at his neck gently. His magic needed a rest. He used a lot on that last teleport.
Okie dokie artichokie! Thanks so much @Pudding
Hm question. I think it was already mentioned but are Cosmic Princes visible to humans when transformed? I know if they are in a field no one is but outside of one.

And another. These distortion fields, do they look like witch labrinyths from Madoka or an inverse plane of reality? I think this was also discussed, I just can't seem to find it!
