It's not a bad idea. I do think it might need to be polished up a bit and yeah it is a bit dark so I can see how it could scare people. Cluster was a scary just because of how dark it was if you thought about it but at the same time you felt sad and heartbreak at having to see the gems forced like that so I see where you are coming from.
