SIDE NOTE: I just found out some new information though on Persephone that I didn't know before. I guess she does have a weapon but isn't seen with it often because she doesn't really need it most of the time. It is said that she has been caught carrying a golden sword in one hand and like a basket of fruit in the other...I might have to change my profile now XD

Exactly but you would be able to change the outcome. Thus changing the day completely to something new and unexpected. It may help but it may get worse.
Reversal can only go back a few hours so here is an example.
Waitress spills coffee, boom she can rewind it instantly to stop it but what if she didn't and it lead to a chain of bad events. Hours have already gone by and no matter how much she wanted to go back to stop the coffee from spilling, there would be no way without punishment.
The Time Looper on the other hand could at least once, as long as they remembered the exact moment it happened.
If they team up, the chances change again.
