Liv smiled gently, glad that he seemed to be calming down and it was a positive indication that he wasn't mumbling 'no' on repeat anymore. She had actually known this little piece of information about bee hummingbirds but it was cute that he took her nickname for him since she had no real name to go by and popped out what was a little-known fact about birds. It would seem that either he liked birds or it was just one of those random facts that people know sometimes. It was followed by what most would think was a riddle that had no rhyme or reason but it was very clear to Liv what he was saying."It is good to meet you, Skye."she said, before standing up from her somewhat crouched position. She turned her attention to the door, a curvaceous woman standing at the entrance and talked as though she was sweet as pie. It was usually people with something to hide or some who were a snake in the grass that talked like that but she was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. She didn't know anyone here and actions spoke louder than words. The new woman as at least trying to make the situation a little lighter by joking. It just made her not sure what to say and brought up what had happened to all of them. Why were they all even here? She would say innocent until proven guilty and go from there. Mags had already asked for her name so at least they could all introduce themselves again once the new stranger spoke up.

It did make her wonder though...how many others were there? More just kept trickling in and that meant that whatever group had taken them was large or had a lot of influence to not get caught. It wasn't like she had heard of a string of kidnappings on the news but maybe they were all from completely different areas. Did any of them have anything in common? So far she didn't see it so maybe there wasn't any real pattern to it. As it was there were four women, including herself and two men which meant maybe there were two more men coming or maybe she was trying to look for things that weren't there. These kidnappers knew about Casey and her son....they knew where she would go which meant he son still was out there and possibly in danger. She knew that leaving here couldn't be so easy with everything they had done so far. Liv shook off her thoughts, not wanting to continue on that path as she would just end up panicking. It seemed like Skye was afraid of this new woman so she would just let him hide behind her and she would stand up for him.

Guilt, it instantly sank into her stomach like a rock as she hadn't meant to make Dawn tense up so noticeably by such a simple action. It was in that brief moment she hoped that she hadn't crossed any lines but it seemed the instant that Dawn recognized her voice that all tension dissipated and a flood of relief rushed through her own being."Awwww, you do love me." Serenity teased, a bright smile lighting up her features."The family felt it would be a good opportunity to learn from more than just the personal trainer and get a few secondaries under my belt. Serenity answered. She had been leery of coming, knowing more than one person would know her last name though they had been out of many loops for awhile and the last thing she wanted to do was tell people where they could put their unwanted opinions or to smile and brush off how they might insult her. She was proud of who she was and would stand up for that. A nudge to her hands brought her out of her thoughts and she instantly pulled her hands away a small blush lighting up her cheeks as she forgot that they were even still covering Dawn's eyes. It luckily seemed more like she wanted to continue teasing a good friend but she needed to keep more focused, especially when being introduced to a fellow student and possibly gaining a new friendship if all went well. It was obvious that Dawn was thinking of both their feelings when it came to last names as it was a simple introduction without them.

It was then that he offered up his name on his own accord and was quite charming even smooth if she was being honest. He had pulled out a chair for her after all when it was not necessary and was pleased to have her around while most found her, strange. Sterling, it sounded familiar and that is when it clicked into place. This could be interesting, should she give him her last name? Why not, the worst that would happen is one more person avoiding her. She placed her hand in his own, a gentle smile on her face as she replied,"Serenity D'Amour and the pleasure is all mine." She was just about to take a seat when she felt a tap on her shoulder before hearing one of her favorite voices. "Always!" was her quick reply to the fly by welcome as the food was more important for now which just made her chuckle. She couldn't really blame him though as it had been a long ride for everyone. It was so nice to see another friendly face though. It was turning out to be a good start of the year. Her attention was quickly caught by Larke as he spoke up about how curious it was they had not met before with all the familiar company they shared. Location was probably the biggest reason as her visits had to be planned in advance and it usually meant the others kept it to just them. "Oh, I don't mind at all. I am originally from France but my family moved to America.

Serenity jumped a bit, startled by someone new suddenly joined the group and speaking up to Larke and Perci. It didn't take long to guess that he was a child of one of the council members like the other two. He seemed really nice and easy going. This was someone that she might actually get along with but it was hard to tell everything from first impressions. She was very much enjoying Larke's conversation and company so far. It would be nice to make another friend that was for sure. "Hello, Nate. It is lovely to meet you, I'm Serenity." replied and holding out her hand before a sudden chill ran up her spine and she realized why it as the goosebumps were crawling up her arm. Who had Nate upset? The only time she felt like this was when her Necro friend, Alex, had insulted a spirit by calling them a chatterbox that only spewed garbage in his ear. It was no problem for her but it could make for some unpleasant remarked from the spirit that the person might have to ignore. She hoped this wasn't the cast for Nate at the moment.
The introduction was cut short however when a random battle cry loudly rang out through the room and was not to be missed by anyone. It was followed by Larke yelling at them to move and she reacted on instinct, jumping back and getting into a defensive position, not sure what was going to happen. A firey ginger haired girl, full on body slamming Larke was not quite what she had in mind for happening and now she was not sure what this even was exactly. Was this an unhappy ex-girlfriend or something? Did they have a rivalry thing going? Was it a current girl he was seeing that was unhappy? It was just kind of weird to watch but Serenity stayed on edge just in case this needed to be broken up. It was a pleasant surprise to find that Larke was an aquamaner just like she was.

The bus rocked and bumped along down the path, the students all around her whining to the bus driver about the injustice this was causing their frail forms with an insincere apology as a reply to such complaints but for Serenity, it was pure joy. She didn't understand how they could not be taking advantage of the fun it was to be on a bumpy road to the middle of nowhere. As it was, she was leaning back in her seat with one foot resting flat on the back of the seat in front of her to keep herself stable as she waited patiently for the next bump. It might look strange to some of the others, a girl with bubblegum pink hair, slumped over in the back seat while her bright green eyes stared intently at her palm which held a single red gummy bear. It was when they hit another harsh bump that the gummy bear went flying up and Rini quickly moved, catching the red gummy in her mouth before giving an air pump with a soft 'yes' leaving her lips as she enjoyed her snack. It had been lucky she even packed them as it had been way too long since she last ate with no stops in-between any of the different forms of transportation. It wasn't that she was complaining but she wasn't sure what the plan. The school had a plan, right? She didn't have long to question this though as the bus came to a lurching stop which somewhere lucky enough to not eat the seat in front of them while others had practically broken their noses or fell from the seat.

Rini waited for the group to file out before hopping up, stretching out her legs for a second and head off of the bus. Everything was unloaded from the bus by the time she stepped off and her foot had barely hit the cobblestone path before the bus was tearing out of there like a bat out of hell. She raised an eyebrow at the weird exit but shrugged it off before she went to collect her duffel bag and suitcase. She was now left, standing alone as she looked up at the school that would be her home for the year. Marchand seemed so new at first glance but if you looked into the fine details, you could tell that it had more likely been renovated instead which actually gave it more charm. The designers had chosen wisely in what was still preserved and what was newer. A soft smile made its way to her face as she took her first step down the cobblestone path, letting the wheel of her suitcase clatter as it rolled along. It was easy to follow the rest of the crowd and even though she wasn't sure where all of this would end up leading, not that she really care if she got lost for awhile. It just provided a new opportunity to check the place before any official tour or classes. It was lucky for her though that the crowd just lead her on to the registration with an attendant that seemed done with this just and looked like she needed a change in life. Rini enthusiastically tried to cheer her up with some gummy bears which was met with more of a frown and a glare which made her scribble down her name and back away slowly to nope out of that awkward situation. How was she to know that people didn't like gummy bears? That wasn't normal, right? Well, if anything that part was over with and she now at least had a map that explained how to navigate this massive academy.

It seemed from the direction the students were heading after registering was going to this 'common room' area. It seemed logical as they would be able to meet more of their fellow students before any orientation that might be held. She skipped happily around people that were gathered together in the hallways, reacquainting with friends and what not. Rini was hoping she found a few people she recognized but it was always nice to make new friends if at all possible. She walked into the common room and was instantly in love with the way nothing seemed to match and yet it seemed completely right like it all flowed well together. She did a slow twirl, taking in all the decor before looking at the other students, trying to find a familiar face when her eyes landed on a dark-haired beauty that was being addressed by some well to do guy. It was obvious that he was from a richer family than most with the attire and the way he seemed to carry himself but he did have well-defined jaw and handsome features, eyes a sharper green then her own that were more defined by the sandy brown hair he possessed but she tended to avoid that type if at all possible. They tended to be the ones who believed rumors but she wouldn't judge just yet. Actions proved a person worth in her eyes, no matter how much you had. Rini turned her attention from the stranger and onto the person she really wanted to see, Dawn Memoli. It hadn't been too long since she had stayed to visit her family but it was always nice to see her again. A bright smile lit up her face as she snuck up behind Dawn, looking to the sandy blond for a second and holding up her finger to her mouth before giving a wink before hugging her from behind a split second before covering Dawn's eyes. "Guess who?! If you guess wrong, I get a bite of your pancakes."

Hey Everyone!

We just lost a member of this RP and a slot is open! Please read everything from the first post and make sure to communicate with the GM if interested! :)
Hey Echo! I’ll throw my interest into the ring ^_^

Mags....yes, that definitely was an appropriate nickname and probably the one she would have naturally gone with. She seemed so shy that it was oddly adorable. Liv hadn’t really notice the blush but her attention had been drawn to the doorway by the masculine voice that had announced their arrival.
”Well, this is a surprise. I thought the note was going to lead me into some murderous dungeon. Guess not.” he said before joining them at the table and she almost chuckled at the mental image he just presented.
”I didn’t quite imagine that but I was still heavily feeling whatever drug they decided to hit me with. We were just getting some intros out of the way, making away with being strangers. I’m Liv and the woman next to me is Mags.”
”Anya,” was the name that was suddenly announced as the other blonde stood up, snagging a roll from the table as she did before continuing to speak. You all seem confused about why you’re here. Don’t blame you. I am as well, I guess. Three beautiful women and two lovely men.”

The statement didn’t make her feel completely warm and fuzzy as the other blon...Anya, seemed too relaxed about this whole situation. At least she seemed friendly though and was trying to get to the honest truth of it all. This was confusing and weird. She moved over to the man that had been rocking lightly which was probably to calm their nerves. She innocently touched his shoulder before ruffling his hair like one would a child and something she herself had done to her son here and there. ”Would you like to share your name, lovelies? So we can finish not being strangers?
Liv would have never guess that those small gestures would have lead to such a turn of events.

Liv saw the look on his face, that glimpse of horror before he squirmed and hand flung to get Anya away or maybe just the touch. This was followed by a clear statement that made it impossible to read into it differently.
”DON’T!” - “YOU CAN’T”

This all followed by extreme rocking and muttering ‘no’ to himself repeatedly. Liv stood, making sure not to touch him as she moved his chair a bit so she had enough room and moved so she was in his view by crouching down but keeping a good distance so she was not too much in his space.”Shhhhh, it’s okay little bird. Deep, slow breaths. Can you do that? You are not hurt. You can look to her face and see she didn’t mean to upset you. Just relax. It is okay. Breathe.” Liv said in a soft even tone of voice. She didn’t want this poor guy to panic or be upset over a misunderstanding. It seemed something must have happened in his past and she wanted to try to help.
