Question I'm interested in joining however if you recall the CIS had a Separatist council lead by the major companies who provided battle droids. Such as Wat Tambor,Nute Gunray etc. Do they hold more power or did Grievious decide to kill them as they were more of an annoyance kinda like he disliked them in the movies? If they are alive I'd be very interested in taking over one of the companies.

Heyo, welcome aboard. I'm shackled to a phone at the moment, so I can't go into full detail, but yes, those figures are still alive and doing CIS stuff. Grievous kept them around, but took most of their power from them when Dooku peaced out.
Followed this one closely when it was put up, would be interested in a relaunch of it if that is what's planned.
Awesome. Later tonight I'll ping those who haven't gotten a WiP up yet, or contacted me through other means. So if you see this post, and don't want to get pinged... Post your WiP! >:O
@Hyperdrive@Sigma

Looking good so far, you can two go ahead and shift over to the character's tab whenever you like.

@Cosmic Fury

I dropped a few messages for you on Skype on your nation, but otherwise it's looking pretty solid.

As for other news, here in the next day or so I'll ping people again to see where they're at and if they're still interested, perhaps even start the IC.
Her dress flows red, shimmering,
Reflections of the damned cast upon these walls.
They scream for salvation.

"Execute him."

She gave the order with little compunction, her face showing nothing as she watched the hammer rise above the man shackled to the slab. His eyes closed as the steel head came crashing down with a wet smack, crushing his skull and leaving little more than paste upon the stone. Of course, she had already left as soon as the hammer was lifted, knowing the deed done without needing to observe. The man had been a traitor, committing the dire offense of attempting to sabotage relations between the twin monarchies. Not that it had been near successful, as the man's lies had been just that. Lies and treachery, pure and simple. Now his cohorts who had gone un-noticed would know the price of their efforts, and cease them. It did not matter to the monarch, however, for she cared nothing for whether they were executed for their crimes, only that they know that her law was absolute.

Beyond was her throne room, the great hall occupied only by a courtier who held news from the surrounding regions and awaited her response. "Alphonse." She greeted him, a slight bit of warmth in her comment, but overall without tone. The dark-haired man bowed deeply and held out the correspondences for her to read. "My lady, Marianna. I bear news from Naples, America, and Kzechverin, courtesy of her highness Princess Csilla herself."

"Very well. What news comes from the Americans?"

Unwrapping the cord around the letter, he opened it and read out loud for her, "From the Eisenkreis foreign detachment, we report that at last peace is coming to the United States of America with the capture of the Confederate general. We will remain here until the order is given to return to our homeland."

Marianna thought on the matter for a moment, her chin resting in her hand as she looked over the words "Well, it's about time they sorted their shit out. What of our neighbor, Naples?"

"Of course my queen," He returned, unrolling the next letter "Word has reached us of King Pagani's victory over Sicily, and his intent to stabilize his nation by shoring up the economy of the feudal nation. We believe he will look to sell their Blue Coal reserves, but the move is liable to incite unrest in the nation. The nation is also in need of restructuring and fortification against other, less civilized western powers who would see the nation as weak."

Her hand gripped the throne she sat upon tightly as she thought of the destabilizing effect a conquering of Naples would have upon the region, her lips curling into a sneer. "Let the good king Pagani know that I have the desire for two things his nation has in great supply," She said, a rare smile gracing her lips as she leaned forward. "I wish to build a monument to my ancestor, Baldur Von Eisenkern, and a new palace for myself and Csilla. My building material of choice is marble, something that he should have no problem acquiring. Second, I think it's time that we celebrate the joining of Eisenkreis-Kzechverin in earnest. It has been a month, and everyone is so dour, order as much wine as you see fit."

"Of course my queen." Hesitating, he looked at the seal on the letter from Csilla, noting the personal crest upon it. "Just hand it to me, probably for the best." She said, taking the letter from him and dismissing him to begin writing her missives. For a moment she sat upon the throne, her hand straying to the warhammer which had been embedded into the stone of the floor since Baldur himself had struck it there centuries ago. It had never been moved since that day, though many had tried, and all had failed. It amused her that she was so like her ancestor, a trait that others did not find as amusing. Well, others aside from Csilla. She got up from the throne and began to wander off, heading towards her bedchambers at first, but slowly deviating as she wandered.

Eventually silence filled the halls in between her footsteps, the click of her heels echoing for no one else but her own ears, and the dim corridors wrapping her in their gloom. "I am this country..." She whispered, her soft voice adamant in her words. For a moment, she paused, stopping at the portrait of her father Isaac Von Eisenkern. Looking around, she found that she had wandered into the royal halls, where the nobility had lived prior to her seizing of the crown. Dust caked the walls of the corridor, the moonlight dancing across the floor and shining on the refuse that had sat for fifteen years. Walking forward, she peered into the first room she found, that of a lesser noble, a pile of bones lying against the foot of the bed and a broken sword impaled into the wood. A sudden flash crossed her mind, of a small hand holding a blade and shoving it into the meaty flesh of a man cowering for his life, the force of the stab breaking the ceremonial weapon. A mirror hung loosely from the wall where years ago a girl of just fifteen had smashed it for her own reflection.

The dim light showed a woman of thirty, green eyes hardened in irritation as she looked over herself in the mirror. A modest dress hung on her thin frame, the curves of her body throwing shadows on the cracked reflection before she turned in impatience and left the room. Continuing past the remaining doors, she at last came to the room at the end of the hall, the one which had belonged to her father before she took the throne. Again her past flashed before her eyes, that of the door opening slowly and entering as her father slept in the bed. Slowly her hands wrapped around his throat, constricting the much larger man's windpipe and forcing him awake in a panic. His eyes widened as he came to understand what was happening, his struggle lessening as he saw the determination and tears in her eyes.

"The throne is mine!" She yelled, coming back to her senses as she knelt in the dusty sheets, her hands wrapped around the broken vertebrae. Climbing from the bed, she shook herself free of the dust and left the hall in a hurry, ducking down a side hall to avoid guards in the next hallway. Her door shut nearly as quickly as it opened, her feet shuffling her over to collapse in the plush bedding of her own bed. Laying there, she shut out everything around her, focusing only on the small frame which sat upon the table next to the desk, her eyes slowly closing in sleep as she drifted off as she did every night.

Neat. Very thought through, now that I've got the full story. The deal I had in mind needed a somewhat ideal if hypocritical and disgruntled confed Dooku, though, so no-go even for a Confed member/successor, and it's not something I'm gonna push to change. That'd be mucking up the whole point. Concept's better saved for another game, and I ought stick to the low-fantasy pulp game and the on-life-support cold war thing I've already joined.

Best of luck to the lot of you!

Hey, thanks for the interest and taking the time to look things over and ask questions. If you ever feel like popping back in, the door's open.
Assuming Sigma doesn't mind having a neighbor, I think I'll claim Eriadu and the rest of the Seswenna sector (and perhaps a bit more, but I'll decide on that later). Before I get started in earnest, however, I need to know what exactly happened to Wilhuff Tarkin. I saw it mentioned in the Interest Check that he's currently serving the Grand Republic of Mandalore; is that correct?

Also, will you be manually providing shared plotlines/Galaxy-wide situations for the RPers, Alfhedil?

Noted for Seswenna, just let me know if you decide on anything else. As for Tarkin, he followed the majority of the Open Circle Fleet in their retreat to the rendezvous point, and has been largely a voice of strategy and tactics for the remnants, and later on the Grand Republic of Mandalore. At the current moment, he's serving as Grand Admiral of the Fleets, essentially THE MAN of the GRM armada.

As for plotlines and galaxy-wide events, these will be provided as they occur in IC, as I prefer to see things created from what everyone has done, rather than attempt to force an event that, while cool, doesn't make as much sense. I've always been an opponent of RBE(Random Bullshit Events) and thusly, any event I create for the RP, will have been advertised via IC events long before it actually comes about.

Placeholder for Gen'Dai remnant app form.

Dang it, Legion beat me to Stygium crystals, guess I'll take on Cortosis smuggling. @Alfhedil - would that be alright?

Cortosis smuggling would be neat, you know a certain group of people would be interested in getting quite a bit of it ;D
I'm curious about this. If I was to join, I'd be interested in playing the role of the Confederacy. I've got some inquiries, though.

Heyo, welcome around, I'll be glad to answer the questions you have as I can. Take in mind, I did just wake up, so some of this may be edited when I'm a bit more conscious xD

One, what happened to Dooku after that whole 'glassing Coruscant' thing? With no Palpatine, that'd make him the big Sith bitch in town if he escaped or otherwise survived and retained his position ('abandoned the CIS' seems out of character, let alone surrendering himself to the Jedi; he had thoroughly dedicated himself to the ) presumably free to undertake the Confederate version of the New Order, and beholden to some measure of whatever information Sidious had been keeping from him about extragalactic crab-wearing planet rider psychotics and the dictatorial Empire. Likely incorporating a similar moment of view-shattering betrayal- pre or post mortem- as when Anakin was ordered to decapitate him, only with less decapitating.

Through the beginning of the war, just like in the actual canon, Dooku had been feeling that this was the right thing to do, that he was establishing the Confederacy to right the wrongs of the Repbulic as a whole. In background canon and such, he was truly a good guy with his intentions, just more than a little misled, and as the war dragged on, he began to fall. This time, Kenobi and others made a more concentrated effort to understand Dooku, rather than condemn him. What helped, is that during the Naboo Conflict, Qui-Gon Jinn had not been killed, but was wounded and forced to resign from active duty. His ideals of nobility and actual reform led him to refuse Sidious' offer to become apprentice in heart, even if he did accept in word. Grievous also had a major part in shifting him away from what the Confederacy was becoming, but I'll get more on that next. With the Council actually attempting to understand, rather than judge immediately like in the movies, Dooku looked to see if he could find a more amenable solution between everyone, and in a move against both Sidious and Grievous, he officially surrendered to the Jedi Council. As for where he may be now, he's freely roaming about as I haven't decided what to do with him. It can be assumed he is in the Jedi Enclaves, but I won't say yes or no on the matter in case someone has a preference to use him for a Republic/neutral state.

Two, what of Grievous, on a similar note? Is he some sort of head of state? Did he dieded? I was of a mind that he would be less than inclined to keep leading around droids and the odd fleshy marine after conquering- or in this case, breaking- the galaxy. And one doubts anyone would be able to stop him retiring without severe trouble. Maybe he went back to to Kaleesh as a more militant Dalai Lama, a sort of living Buddha archetype, except instead of being ritually embalmed, he's just a heavily-trinketed killbot cyborg.

Grievous took head of state from Dooku when he learned of his intent to surrender, and during the Clone Wars he only became more ruthless and domineering towards those under him. The Confederacy lost most of their ideals as the war progressed and he began to win favor with Sidious over Dooku, eventually losing what little remained and becoming an overblown revolution when the count left. After the war ended, he did return to Kaleesh and became almost exactly what you mention, some kind of militant Dalai Lama. The Kaleesh are now one of the more fervent upholders of CIS/Federation rule, with Grievous having set an example for all of them to follow, and now many can be seen among the armies leading droids to keep the peace where they can. Grievous himself is still going pretty strong, his squishy parts having never been pressure-tested by Windu, or shot with a blaster by Kenobi, and he's begun to have plans for the last bastions of the Republic, as well as the Empire and the GRM.

Three, is an outright glassing of Coruscant as a whole vitally necessary? It seems an unexplainable, unjustifiable snafu on the level of destroying Alderaan. Something that'd make a few too many waves. It doesn't bother me overmuch, and fits in with Star Wars' habit of planets getting inexplicably wrecked and superweapons terribly misused, but I still feel inclined to ask of the import.

Grievous knew a land invasion of Coruscant would only end in a defeat, as the Republic soldiers there would stall him and his armies until the remaining elements of the Grand Army could rally back to push him out of orbit. This was why he ordered a strategic glassing of the planet, targeting specific points and smashing the areas around them. Part of the reason for this was his knowledge of Palpatine being Sidious, and there was no way in hell he was going to face him in battle. So, while I did use the phrase "glassed the surface" in the int.check in error, a good portion of Coruscant was destroyed, but by no means the entire surface. It is still a habitable world, and somewhat important to the successor states if only for the position it holds and the idea of it.

Also, don't get me wrong, Grievous knew what kind of a move it was, and the galaxy did respond to it. This was the main reason for the general order to retreat, in that Kenobi and the other generals saw what lengths Grievous would go to gain victory, and thought it best to cut their losses there and lay low until they could fight back.

Four, on the note of 'occupying Republic space,' what's the Confederacy up to there? The CIS New Order was that of a corporate-friendly, decentralized galaxy. Essentially a reboot of the Republic, tearing down the old bureaucratic dreck and financial nepotism, minimizing federalism, and probably proceeding down the same or at least a similar line over time to develop into NEW bureaucratic dreck, financial nepotism and incompetent federalism. I'm not sure what interest confederating systems have occupying Republic-aligned space rather than puppeting it or leaving it be.

"Occupying Republic space" is another term I used a little liberally. What it truly is, is more of what you have mentioned at the end there, in that they have installed their own friendly governors and merely make their presence known. The CIS government is essentially the same as the former Republic's, except seats are held by corporate owners and the power remains in their hands. What role Grievous plays, is that of a commander in chief with actual power. While the 'senate' does their voting and passing bills and such, he holds the true power and guides the armies, as well as having direct say in all matters of CIS business. So basically, they tore down the old bureaucratic dreck and financial nepotism, to install their own system that has developed into new bureaucratic dreck and financial nepotism.

I had my own conceptions for history while the Captain was tempting me over, but what's present leaves information to be had, and I had revisions in mind in line with some of the tweaks in the interest check. Looks rather neat so far.

By all means, though as a CIS player, you won't be taking up the entirety of the nation, and more so a region of their space. This is because while I set up the CIS to be the big NPC that is kind of there, I still want for others to be free to play as a nation that is of interest to them. Allowing one single person to control the entire CIS, even myself as GM, is too much and leaves too big of a gap in power between the players.

Any other questions or ideas, feel free to either hit me up with a PM or leave them here, and I'll do my best to address them. Once again, welcome aboard.
