Do you think the reason Jesus Christ doesn't rise again is because we keep putting up crosses and he gets flashbacks on how that went last time?

After Jaakuna at least tried to get Emiri’s pain down to a bare minimum, he would make sure that she could stand. As she tried to, she wobbled a bit, going side-to-side in that type of motion, but she seemed to be able to stand. Jaakuna knew this wasn’t good. Jaakuna had to wonder what happened to her. Surely the curaga spell would have worked if it was just the damage from the Blizzaga spell. Jaakuna couldn’t place his finger on it, but something told him that there was more to her shoulder injury than she’s letting on for anyone to believe.

As Jaakuna makes sure Emiri is doing alright, the rest of the group focuses on Mateus. For the most part, the esper is near defeat. After the onslaught it had taken from all the five of them, it’s a miracle that it’s still standing. After the massive Holy spell that Nadeline gave it, it’s only a matter of time before it becomes defeated.

When Mateus would go for another attack, it was slowing in movements, which hinted just one more would do it. Just as Wesley was about to go in for the kill with a running, vertical slash, Savayna rushed past him. Her sword up, magickal energy surrounding it. She would then jump to the air, sword raised above her had. With the will of her soul, a wave of pure magickal energy was sent forth. A yell from Savayna would follow the wave of magickal energy and as Mateus would be overtaken by it, soon the esper would be gone from their sight and the glyph of Mateus would appear on Savayna’s hand as she would land on the ground. “Well, this is too fucking cool.” She said in an enlarged volume.

Jaakuna and Wesley saw as she pretty much took that Esper, but perhaps it was fitting. The esper of ice for the Ice Queen. It even made more sense that the Esper in question was Mateus, The Corrupt. “Now that that’s done, can we get the hell out of here now?” Jaakuna said as he would hold Emiri steady as she was still staggering a bit.

“I suppose we can. There isn’t much keeping us here” Wesley stated.
Well, I think the wonderful thing with FT is that the plot can just be our two characters taking on missions and being the best mages in the world and literally have it as just that. xD But seriously, I like the idea of just developing it as we go on more missions. I just thought I ask if you had any initial ideas before the rp itself gets started.
I'll try to get my character sheet up as soon as I can. :)

In the meantime, do you have any ideas of a base plot and such?
The esper was knocked down and Savayna, Jaakuna, and Wesley would see as Emiri and Nadeline would go in for their first attack. It went okay from their own perspective, but as their attacks would go in, Mateus would launch back with a Blizzaga to Emiri, to which it would hit her shoulder and send her flying into Nadeline. At this point, Jaakuna rushed over to Emiri just to make sure that she was alright. “Hey, you okay?” Jaakuna said as he would hover his right hand over Emiri’s shoulder as he would cast Curaga to ease the pain in her shoulder for at least a little bit.

While Jaakuna did that, the rest of the group were handing Mateus. The Esper would go in for an attack, which was quick. The spear came down to pierce Nadeline, but Wesley put his sword in a perpendicular position to parry off the beast’s attack. Though only successful for a short while, Wesley would then twist his body counterclockwise and slice the esper with a horizontal slash. The beast would again shriek in pain as it was definitely near defeat. “We’re almost there, just a little more.” Wesley said aloud.
As Nadeline started to read about the Esper in front of them, Jaakuna and Wesley listened intently. However, Savayna couldn’t care less even if she wanted to. She had such a dull-looking expression across her face. Every word that Nadeline spoke was just boring in her mind. Nothing but useless information and she would be vocal about it.

“Oh who fucking cares! All I need to know is that it’s in the way and we need to destroy it. I really couldn’t care any less about how this beast supposedly got here.” Savayna said expressing her deep, deep lack of caring for the legend of this Esper.

Wesley looked at Savayna. “Please, Lady Savayna.
“WOULD YOU STOP CALLING HER THAT!”
“Jaakuna please, she is obviously a lady
“YOU’RE CHECKING ME OUT! You creep!”
“But, I only meant..”
“I know what you meant — you dig her, don’t you Wesley?”

After that, Wesley just kept quiet, obviously embarrassed by both Jaakuna and Savayna. It could be seen across his face. He was red as a rouge tomato. “Let’s just eliminate this beast.” Wesley said lowly.

Savayna was laughing as she saw the redness on Wesley’s face. “You’re a pervy one, Prince Wesley.” She said in a teasing manner.

Jaakuna also laughed, but said nothing. He would turn his attention to the Esper in front of them. He drew Deamonsbane and held it in a single-handed grip. Wesley held his Platinum Sword and shield and prepared for battle as well. As for Savayna, she had her Ice Queen Sword and Crystal Shield as she also would prepare for the fight.

Mateus would come forward, flying through the air as if he was in water, In came a blizzaga spell and the group darted to opposite ways. Jaakuna would dart to the right, Savayna underneath Mateus, and Wesley to the left. They would each throw in a spell of their own. Wesley would slice upward(to the left of Mateus) and out flew a wave of Holy, Jaakuna would do the same motion, but with a Firaga spell. As for Savayna, she would actually jump upwards and attack with a physical attack. Two of the attacks would backfire as Mateus would first deflect Savayna’s attack with his Spear, thus sending Savayna back to the ground. The holy spell would be whipped aside with the tail, but the Firaga would hit and send Mateus flying ten feet to the left, tumbling on the ground in the process.
It would be a few minutes before the group would all be on the ground. Jaakuna and Wesley were able to land on their feet when they had followed Savayna down the slide, but Emiri and Nadeline seemed to land off their feet. Actually, it would seem that both of them would crash into each other. Savayna and Jaakuna laughed aloud, but Wesley would contain his laughter to a mere chuckle. It would only be a minute or so until they were all on their feet and they would all head into the temple, not wanting to wait for any of the enemy forces to catch them.

As they would come up to the entrance, there were no Kitlas guards there, which was odd as those guards are the ones who are always guarding the entrance to the Stilshrine. Savayna especially found it odd, but she would just shrug it off as Jaakuna and Wesley would follow her, as would Emiri and Nadeline. They all would go into the Stilshrine, and once inside, the sight of the inside of the temple was certainly one to behold. First off, the big statue of the legendary Goddess of Swords. It was raised and leveled to such a way that would easily grant passage to those of worth. It would sense them right as soon as they would step through the entrance. Given that the sword was raised, the temple deems the group worthy.

As they would head around ltitle corners, they would eventually make their way to the Hall of Worth. Entering the Hall of Worth, they would be met by something that they weren’t expecting. A glyph of ice and wind would take over the room and in front of them would stand the Esper of Ice, Mateus, The Corrupt. Savayna would look on as if she was memorized by the esper in front of her, but she also was livid as she didn’t know what the hell it was.

“So, what exactly is this beast?” She asked.

Wesley gazed upon the beast. “Nadeline, does your tomb say anything about an Esper found within the Stilshrine of Miriam?” He asked as the Esper in front of them was just waiting for the group to make the first move.
Hopefully what I put in my post will do. You left it open for a lot of options, so I just went with it. xD
Even thought he didn’t get an answer from Beth, he did keep on wondering about it. Chris just wanted to know where these artifacts came from and how exactly they came to be in that particular safe. Like, who or what put them in there? Why were he and Beth the ones to find the gems and the artifact? These were the questions that Chris had on his mind, but he would put them to rest as Beth would turn a corner as she drove the care and slammed on the breaks. Chris was pushed forward a bit, but his seatbelt prevented him from going straight out the window.

When Chris came to from the whiplash, he heard Beth tell him that they were switching cars and that he should go grab the artifact. It was standard percedure when it came to heists. To prevent from being found out, the criminals must switch vehicles. Chris was used to this routine. So, as Beth would go to the other car, Chris opened the back of the white van, took the artifact, and placed it under his left arm, supporting the bottom of it with his hand. As Chris would get the artifact into the car, he heard a loud boom. Chris didn’t look until he saw the van on fire. “Give me a heads up when you’re going to do that next time, won’t ya?” Chris said slightly annoyed.

As they were in their new getaway care, Chris had thusly put the artifact in the trunk of the car and they were off in the car and away from the scene. When Beth started driving, she told Chris about the plan. As he listened, she pretty much told him that they were going to go to her place and she would talk to a contact of hers to help fill in some of the blanks about the artifact and the weird gems. Chris just let all of that sink into his memory as he just acknowledged all of it with a nod.

About ten minutes of driving in the new car, they pulled up to a somewhat nice-looking house. It definitely gave Chris the impression that it was some kind of family house. Chris wouldn’t have believed it if he hadn’t seen it. To think, a woman as vulgar and reckless as Beth lived in a nice house like this. As Beth would state that this is where they would be crashing, Chris just nodded. He grabbed the Artifact from the trunk and followed Beth into the house. As per her instructions, he would pick a room that isn’t his. He really didn’t care about what room he chose. He just chose the first one that he could. He went up the stairs and took a right turn. It was a decent-sized room. He would set the artifact down, and just plop on the bed on his stomach side. He would then roll to his back, removing his jacket and shirt. He would just fall asleep there, not even bothering with removing his jeans.
As they were just about to get the hell out of dodge, the ship started to descend. As Emiri would then go on to look out of the window, Savayna, Wesley, and Jaakuna would do the same, seeing the mountain range within the area. There was also a temple. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that they had arrived at the Stilshrine of Miriam. As Nadeline would say that it was their time to get the hell out of the ship and into the temple, Savayna knew that the halls would be crawling with soldiers as they would prepare for departure. So, in response to that, Savayna pushed Emiri away from the window, she would then to use her Ice Magick to freeze the window, and then crack out the ice with a punch of her hand.

When the ice broke, the window was open. It was a pretty big window; well, big-ish, but it was still big enough for everyone to go through it. Savayna would then create an Ice Slide that led from the window to the ground of the temple.

“Well, what are you waiting for? I’m sure as hell am not going to risk getting caught by going out the proper way.” Savayna said as she slid down the slide and to the ground floor of the area outside of the temple.

Jaakuna and Wesley looked at each other and then to Emiri and Nadeline. “Not like we have any other option,” Wesley said as he would follow Savayna’s lead and Jaakuna would follow.
While Jaakuna and Wesley both looked at each other when Nadeline would explain the dangers of destroying the Dawn Shard. Jaakuna didn’t understand what the big deal about it all was. To him, destroying the Dawn Shard right here and now would save them a load of trouble, but when Nadeline spoke, he started to understand as Wesley had come to understand. It was when she mentioned Nabudis. That was all Wesley needed to understand the errors in his previous judgment and Jaakuna was starting to.

“Mind telling me what the hell happened in Nabudis?” Jaakuna asked. He knew of the rumors, but it’s been so long before he actually read about it properly.

Wesley cleared his throat. “A while back, when Nabudis was a thriving city with a very rich family living within the castle, it was overrun by Archadian forces. Under the orders of the Emperor at the time, decided to the land of Nabudis as their own little playground for the Midnight Shard. They were going to test it, to see how it worked and reacted, but when they were reaching the final stages, something went horribly wrong.” Wesley paused, looking down as he curled his hands into fists and squeezed tightly obviously angry at what happened, “A massive explosion of pure mist was released due to the errors of man and now Nabudis is the home to Ivalice’s largest state of mist matter, crawling with monsters.” Wesley said as he was gritting his teeth, grinding them against each other.

Jaakuna had no idea. Well, he remembers reading some little details, but that was almost fifteen years ago and at the time, Jaakuna’s grandfather, Brandon “Bahamut” Ira Darcone was the Emperor. Jaakuna hasn’t seen his grandfather in over six years, and even then they weren’t on the greatest of terms. “I had no idea.” That’s all Jaakuna could utter. He really had no words or clever phrase to say in a situation like this. He didn’t know what to say in this situation.

Savayna finally saw that she was right and now, as Jaakuna and Wesley were talking it out, she would grab the Dawn Shard with her hands, carefully taking it from the storage compartment it was in. “Okay, we have it. Now, let’s get the fuck out of dodge.” Savayna said, as she was just getting ready to run out from the entrance of the Labs.

Jaakuna stopped her. “Um, before you do, I would like the Dawn Shard back if you don’t mind.” Jaakuna said taking Dawn Shard back as he literally snatched it from her hands.

“What the fuck Jaakuna?” She shouted.

Jaakuna looked at her. “This WAS mine to begin with, before you and fancy-pants Grant took it away from me.” He said.

Wesley intervened. “I would also like to request the Dusk Shard back, please.” He asked calmly.

“Jeezus, you two are so bossy.” Savayna barked, but she gave Wesley the Dusk Shard only cause he asked so nicely.

Both Jaakuna and Wesley put their respective shards in their pockets.
