Altered Tundra — Roleplayer Guild

Please allow me to preface that this decision didn’t come lightly and I have been slowly entertaining it for a couple of months now.

And for the past couple of months, though no fault but my own, I haven’t been feeling the spark for this roleplay as I once did. I’m not just referring to this iteration of the roleplay but all past ones, too. Even the second one, as bad as it was, had me with high hopes. In the beginning, it was great, of course. People were excited. I was excited, but with so many people dropping and so many people remaining active for a number of reasons (none of which I blame them for). I know people have their reasons just like I have my own for this.

Regardless of what the external factors were, I just don’t feel the spark for OA anymore. I know there are still posts being made and that’s why I wanted to give myself another shot, but I just can’t bring myself to prolong what I knew was coming weeks ago. I know it’s a roleplay a good number of you love and enjoy, but I think, for me, I don’t want to feel obligated to post for a roleplay that I GM.

So, with a heavy heart, I am closing Olympus Academy effective immediately. I do want to thank everyone for their participation and making OA into a decent roleplay for as long as it did last. There were a lot of great moments and I wish I could bring myself to make it work, but I don’t see it happening. My interests as far as roleplaying have definitely shifted in this past year and yeah.

If this causes some to dislike me, then I’m prepared to make that choice. I’m sorry if you feel as though your time was wasted but I wanted to be honest with everyone. Again, thank you for bearing with the roleplay for as long as you have. If you enjoyed yourself even remotely so, then I will consider this a successful roleplay!

Appearance
Lulu is a rather short blonde, caucasian girl of german and Swedish ancestry who stands at a mere five-foot-two, though her body shape is slightly more than petite. Her eyes tend to shimmer multiple colors due to her abilities but when she is masking her powers or isn't using them, they are blue by default. Her key features are definitely her puffy cheeks and a slightly round lower body. As far as civilian clothing goes, she's about the colorful life, so her clothes reflect that. Pastel colors for shorts, shirts, pants, wristbands, and the like are among the many items of her wardrobe. She might not be sktsktskt VSCO girl, but she certainly embodies the fashion sense those social media girls have.

Always one to have her head in the clouds, Lulu is always the one who might skip a test or a class or a training lesson to go stair at the clouds or read or just wander around the floating city (or wherever it is she happens to be).  At her core, she doesn’t like being confined to just one place for too long. She only stays at Mobius because she recognizes that she needs to be there. Besides, fear sets in when the thought of disappointing her father creeps into her mind.

As a friend, one might not be at all surprised to find out that she can be quite persuasive. She’s a bit of a rule-breaker and lives for a thrill. Again, she hates being confined like a bird in a cage; she needs to fly and have adventures. She also isn’t afraid of letting loose in every single way that implies. She likes to have a good time but sometimes she needs a moral compass because she feels too much with her heart and that can sometimes land her in a situation she may not be ready for or just can’t handle. When she’s overwhelmed, things get ugly because she may lose control of her abilities. A stable-ish Lulu is tons of fun, but one off the rails may be a bipolar, unpredictable manic ride just waiting to wreck.

The Lucasta Family was wealthy. They didn’t just have enough money to fund their own security force, but among many of their avenues of business, owning most of the banks, weapon companies, and generally being a major player in the Southern United States, the Lucasta Family has ties to multiple government agencies: S.H.I.E.LD., Hydra, H.A.M.M.E.R., homeland agencies and that of foreign governments, and many more like it. Their reach is said to be that of the Starks, possibly even wider than the famous Starks of New York. Some have even said they are the Starks of the South, a family dynasty that is so vast that they hide their true movies well within philanthropy and charitable donations, public service. But underneath it all, they are quite possibly the most vile human beings among the walking humans of Earth.

Which might be the most ironic of things considering they aren’t human at all. No, one could say they are INhuman. Every single member of the Lucasta family from Adam and Juliana, the ones who lead the dynasty to their four children: Amell, Dawn, Noah, and Janet, all have the remnants of the Inhuman race of Attilan. It is rumored, though Adam boldly proclaims it so much that it is the family gospel, that they are descended from the Inhuman Royal Family, though nobody dares to try and fact check him. Regardless, of any Inhumans who may or may not walk the earth, those born into the Lucasta family are said to have the purest Inhuman DNA than any others.

The Lucasta family does have a tradition for their children. Adam and Juliana all went through it when they came of age, but when a child comes to the age of sixteen Earth years, they undergo Terregenisis and are closely monitored for five days and five nights, so the scientists who work for Hydra under the Lucasta payroll have all examined the four children, who all exhibit extraordinary abilities (much to the pride of their parents). Amell was shown with the ability of shadow teleportation, Dawn has Hawkeye-levels of accuracy with anything she throws, and Noah had the power of persuasion. All of them were shown to be incredibly gifted from the get-go, but then there was Janet, the youngest and quite possibly most gifted of the four children.

During her Terregenisis, it was unlike any other before her. Lulu had a cocoon-like most Inhumans but hers was just a little different. The appearance of hers was sleeker and it was more alien-esque in appearance. Another thing about it was from within, bright lights of all colors were seen from outside. The entire amount of time it took for her Terregenisis to reach completion was nearly a month and when she had burst out of her cocoon (literally), it happened in a display of multicolored light and it blew up the lab and a large portion of the Lucasta Manor. When she came out, every inch of her body was radiating with every color to ever exist in the history of mankind and all of it was circulating around her body until it centered at a single point at the center of her forehead.

As tests began and her father wanted to test the limits of her abilities. Just a year of test after test, pitting her against mindless soldier after mindless soldier, this young woman who wasn’t even of legal adult age had proven to have the potential be more powerful than her siblings combined but she lacked the mental fortitude to do anything about it, so her father pulled some strings with some contacts who reached out to S.H.I.E.L.D. Under the guise of her needing additional education, she was enrolled at the Mobius Academy for Young Superheroes and Superheroines. It was her father’s wish and hope that she would grow strong one day and make the Lucasta name a feared name to that of the extent of great individuals like Red Skull and HYDRA themselves.

Abilities
Light Manipulation — Lulu's Terrigensis was a lot unlike most and as a result, her powers are a bit unorthodox. She has the ability to manipulate light but hers is colorful like a rainbow. She creates objects, manipulates it to burn things, shape it into projectiles and streams of light/heat energy, and a few other things, too.
Light Absorption — Lulu has the ability to absorb any and all light from any existing light source within five yards of her, though if she absorbs too much, she loses control of what is done with the excess light energy she intakes.
Photokinesis — Lulu is able to manipulate light particles/photons to mold them into constructs or concentrate them into bursts of heated light that can intensely burn human flesh and things like wood and steel. She can only do five double-handed bursts for five seconds long until she burns herself out, though the possibilities of thrown light projectiles is nearly endless for her.
Light Attacks — Like the ability above, from the light around her, she can manipulate that as she sees fit. This is done from light absorbed and she can manipulate it to a higher intensity than photokinetic attacks. This is due to it being from light already in existence. For proton light, she has to mold it into usable light then manipulate it. This is much easier for her to just manipulate the existing light.
Photoportation — Lulu can manipulate the light around her and teleport herself up to ten feet away or in front of her in short bursts. It is nearly instantaneous for the shorter bursts of ten feet but any further and she's limited to five bursts per recharge. She can move up to fifty feet in one go but this will deplete her of all of her reserves.
Light Healing — Minor injuries such as cuts and scrapes are easily healed but gunshot wounds and nerve damage or muscle tears equate to her using five bursts of stream projection or fifty-feet teleportation: she can do it but at the cost of all reserves. She has more success healing those who aren't her than she does herself due to being able to see the person and injury clearly.
Light Aura — A product of both photokinesis and light manipulation, Lulu can enhance her basic physical and light-based feats by almost three times by manipulating photons and light sources to swirl around her as though she was the epicenter of a mass of energy. She assumes an aura of colorful light, particles of all colors aiding her and giving her the abilities of a true Inhuman. She can manipulate light in a more powerful way, hit quicker and harder, last longer, and fly! The only downside is she is not only completely drained after five minutes of repeated use, due to the amount of energy needed, her body shuts down and she is rendered unconscious for up to three hours as a sort of factory reset.
