Current you know, my SO never forces me to say a thing that's on my mind and doesn't mind if I don't always explain myself which makes it way easier to actually tell them stuff. boundaries good.

as much as I'd love to pre-plan RPs, I've also noticed that's the fast track to killing them. A little planning and a rough gist is fine, but anything beyond that and people don't wanna write no more.

Wrote Shinrei and Tsukiko (not shiyu, damnit brain) out of the story, addressed @Satoshi Kyou, scurmifer@Scarifar and @Joshua Tamashii with that post.
The principal of the school nodded in agreement to Hayato complementing his office, even adding a "Why thank you, m'boy!" to show how pleased he was. "No need to be so nervous, child. It's unbecoming of such youth," the principal laughed with a creaky voice, beckoning Hayate to sit down. He listened carefully to Hayato and Hayate's explanation of the problem, closing his eyes and nodding infrequently. "Hm... That is serious, yes." They confirmed the two students' worries, rolling back a little in their wheelchair. The principal turned around for dramatic tension, now facing the window. "So, the reason you skipped class was for this?" they asked Hayato and Hayate, their voice able to send chills down the spine of even Colonel. Then the principal turned 180° in an instant, looking at the twins with a beaming smile on his face. "Such a pure and innocent request! Very well, I will allow it. I'll take some notes now and work out the details with you later," he energetically replied.

"Oh, my! Look at the time..." the principal suddenly commented, raising up their finger to point at a grandfather clock in the far end of his office. The time showcased that this hour's classes were about to end soon. He cleared his throat and told them: "Well, it's time to return to class! Jay, would you please help them out of my office?" Jay could only nod in response, politely ask the twins to stand up and guide them out of the door. She helped them inside the elevator, wishing Hayate and Hayato good luck with their studies. The principal leaned back in his wheelchair, but as soon as he did, the telephone went off. They picked it up, answering with a curt "Yes?" After a bit of back-and-forth, the caller finally got to the point. "Shinrei Ikushirou has... Left the building you say?"
Shinrei clicked his tongue as he made his way down the staircase, wondering where his sister could have run off to. The damn enterprise wanted the both of them to return because someone screwed up and couldn't manage it on their own. But it didn't seem like there was anything of interest to be found here after all, and his sister hated the place. So it was probably for the best they left. Surprisingly enough, Shinrei actually found his blood relative without much issue... Though surrounded by who'm she had dueled with earlier. "You kids should go back to class," was all he told them, before shifting his gaze to Tsukiko. "Tsukiko, get your things. We're leaving again," he told her and didn't bother to stick around for a reply. Tsukiko accepted the deck back from Shiyu with scorn, disappearing down the stairwell alongside her brother.

Shiyu looked a bit miffed at what just happened, being unable to lecture Tsukiko on how she treated her cards. He sighed, turning back to Amelia and Leander as they both seemed to be confused at what was going on. "I'm sorry about that," they apologized. The boy rubbed the back of his head in embarrassment, then quickly added: "I'll tell you some day what I meant by that. But not today, alright? We should get back to class, I'm sure the teacher wouldn't want us to loiter around here. I just hope we come off the hook easy, haha..." Shiyu tried to laugh and reassure the other duo, looking up the staircase. "I'll go first, like in the duel! See you guys in a bit," the boy cheerily told them before scooting off at light speed up the staircase.
when you draw 1 card and suddenly combo the shit out of it

Also, this.

Name: Gifted Revival
Trap type: Normal
Effect: Each player Special Summons the lowest level Monster in their graveyard. (If it's a tie, the opponent of this card's controller gets to choose.)
Well.

That's anti-climatic.

I'm aware.

EDIT: There's still the Ethel duel, though. I just needed this post so I can address a few characters and so that not everyone has to wait.
Should go faster.
People were asking questions left and right during the briefing, but as much as Serah wanted to join in on the info-gathering she couldn't come up with anything to ask about. She couldn't really ask about anything much at all that Lorenzo hadn't already addressed in classes. Zero asked about the capture of the Cruxi scum, which slightly irritated Serah. Why should they get to live when they've slaughtered so many? Then again, military knowledge was important too... Emotionally driven thoughts like those are probably why she doesn't even bother to try and lead. Someone else, one of the newer pilots, asked about energy weapons. Serah's ears perked up again whilst she listened to Lieutenant Ritsu explain that Kinetic weapons don't work, but energy-based things do. That means that Atty's blade could harm them, although she'd need to get in melee range to do so... Which means that it couldn't do much at all because that'd turn Serah into a small pile of goo.

The girl's frustration with it all grew over time when she started to realize that Atty was probably going to hold the rest back this mission. She's not nearly as skilled as Sigma nor as experienced as Zim or Harold... Serah bit her lip, answering the call to arms with a short "Roger." which had all the energy put into it that the girl could muster. Nimble as she is, the little rascal disappeared into the hallways long before anyone else could set even a single foot out the door. It bothered her more and more over time. Serah shook her head once she was in the changing rooms, banishing those thoughts to the back of her mind. "Save your self-loathing for after the mission Serah," she mused to herself. The comfort of her plugsuit cheered her up just a little, enough for her to put up a small genuine smile again. Serah hopped on over to Atty to climb in and take her seat. Once the girl was back in the cockpit it was as if that small little dip never happened. She was bright as ever to be with Atty again, having genuinely missed sitting in the real thing. Serah checked up on Atty quite a few times while they were being repaired. She was, after all, very attatched to this machine. So much so that losing them at this point would probably crush her.

It didn't take long for the girl to move Atty over to the launching pad and enter space. The few thrusters her small framewerk had were more than enough to rapidly shoot her towards NOAH, a giant spaceship built by man. It was an impressive sight, sure, but Serah's mind wasn't really all that focused on it. Instead, she was a little giddy. Before Serah had anxious feelings over the mission but now that she's inside Atty again, her heart couldn't stop pounding. She safely secured AA-XOTRY to the spaceship, staring out in front of her for a few seconds. Then, she entered the comm channel. "Hey, everyone?" she asked over it to grab the other pilot's attention, before anyone else had a chance to speak. "It's probably going to come out wrong, but is anyone else kind of pumped? I mean, it's our first real mission! I know it's terrible that we have to do this at all, but... We'll finally be able to prove ourselves, right? Not to the superiors, but to those in Leviticus. Y'know, like guardians," Serah rambled. The girl felt a little embarrassed about saying all that and it might have even been a little out of place. It still felt good to share regardless. "...Sorry, I rambled a bit. Let's go, everyone!" Serah cheerfully shouted, eagerly awaiting the moment NOAH enters hyperspace.
@Ammokkxwell why not see if you can do that by throwing everyone in one titanpad? (wait thats a horrible idea... but at least everything would be in one location)

Nah. That would make things more complex.
still here!

Our last duel's been kinda slow, and I'm of the opinion it should've been started way sooner. Not quite sure what to do now, since our tempo's been slowed down to a crawl.

note to self: never organize another tag duel event with everyone included
Huh, I didn't get a notification

Edited mentions don't notify.
I'll give @Gate Keeper a chance to post before I continue this. In the meanwhile, do you guys want the next post to end with the order to hop aboard the Framewerks, or do you mind if I skip to after the docking to NOAH?

Depends on how much value there is to said framewerk-boarding. If it's nothing except for needless fluff I'd rather skip, but if it's like a thing where you show everyone getting ready in their own ways to have their reaction to a real mission, and/or potential interactions over the comms, sure why not hop aboard first?

EDIT: btw, props for not excluding anyone. Das being a responsible GM.
