as much as I'd love to pre-plan RPs, I've also noticed that's the fast track to killing them. A little planning and a rough gist is fine, but anything beyond that and people don't wanna write no more.

I'm so close, but holy shit writing duels burns me out fast. For reference, I'm halfway into turn five in a seven turn duel. So if I get the other two and a half turns written out, I only need to do a paragraph or 3-4 to lead you guys into the next plot point and we're good to go. Post is currently this long (keep in mind it's coupled with a duel, so that easily adds a lot of characters):



Oh, and Eklispe? Never run Cup of Ace with that luck, I've gotten screwed enough on coin flips and I don't want to imagine the horrors when you try it.

Everything I start a yugioh game I cry at how bad the starter deck is. Then cry at how it manages to win.


Some games were really bad about those. Which one are you playing?

Also, doubled the character count since the initial post. Duel is nearly done, shouldn't take too long... if I can get myself to finish up the last few bits and get it over with.

I have mixed feelings about this topic.

I enjoy Roleplay hype and think that speed-posting can be done appropriately especially, say, if the Roleplay is dying or something along those lines. Generally speaking, though, I make rules against speed-posting when I'm GMing a Roleplay. Aside from my one Guildfall Roleplay, I've never had a problem with speed-posting outside of Free (which is where it's encouraged). In Guildfall, however, I had some people post three or four posts in a day when I asked them to slow down to let others catch up. . and then their posts would go up to five. So that was fun.


Oh fuck, Guildfall. I wanted to play in that, but then people posted a shit load and needed to drop it.

Speed posting is good if everyone is involved with it, but if you leave other players out of the loop then it's an issue. At the start of an RP you can't really avoid the intial first page blitz, so I'll always turn a blind eye to that, but past that point you should really give everyone a chance.
