while tru, quantity != quality, the fact is there's enough good writers out there with diverse enough interests to fit most niches apart from the unrealistically specific i.e. kitten beheading RP

About me:
Where do I begin. I'm from Belarus, and fairly proud of it. I've been RPing about a decade starting mostly with chat stuff and some LARPs/reenactments, doing the stuff of this site for maybe half a decade now. I'm a former serviceman, and while I was conscripted I make sure to stay in related circles. As a day job I'm a programmer letting me usually work from home even when we don't have coronavirus forcing us to do so and thus I got a lot of time for RP.

The moment the Cornet fell off his horse, so did Ioannis jump. He ran over to the stricken leader, and tapped a cheek. "'ere, Captain, you awake?" He said jokingly, before realization dawned. The Lance Corporal instinctively crossed himself before he looked left and right, sweat starting to form on his brow. "Bloody elites eh?" he muttered before standing to his full height and looking at the men that now in turn look to him. He turned back to the corpse, and as if muttering last words to the man he quickly looked through what he had. Satisfied he had nothing else valuable, John quietly tucked his former leader's pistols into his uniform in discreet places.

The Varangoi clapped his hands together and sucked in air through his teeth before letting out a long sigh. "Your previous leader - Heavenly Empire to him - is dead. I am taking temporary command until a replacement is found. Understood?" After he presumably had the agreement of all of his now underlings, he mounted up once more and drew his sword with a dramatic wave before he sliced the air and pointed to where the combat was presumably occurring. "We'll mourn later, now, let's get the invader! Hurrah!"

Spurring his horse with somewhat more caution he had it gallop as fast as he could towards the site of battle. Admittedly, that may have been getting things rushed, but that didn't matter. He had to set an example, what with the men now undoubtedly demoralized so much.

Thus he rode on, occasionally whistling as he did so and giving a twirl of his sword in the air in preparation for battle. He was ready for whatever would great him, friend or foe.
Horacio disembarked first, looking about his new surroundings with a light "tsk-tsk-tsk" noise about him as he swayed his incense bearing rosarius, now in the form of a censer - that is until he saw the two who were about to join his company. He wiped off a bit of sweat from his forehead before he made the sign of the aquila and and examined the sister, looking all the larger when she was still towering over the person next in line, who also happened to be quite tall. Nothing in his vision changed and he shook his head side to side in hopes of clearing away deceptive thoughts and sight, and still unsatisfied took a sniff from his mug. It smelled perfectly fine (given the nature of its contents) so he looked up again in confusion, before wearily shrugging. In his many decades he had the privilege of seeing Space Marines, both in and out of combat and yet even they still were only a shred taller than the woman before him.

Then he looked at the Crusader beside her. The chap seemed good enough, tough considering he made the sign of the aquila with a bloody storm shield on his arm. The lad would certainly be an asset, what with that pole he shouldered like a damn toy. He didn't rise to the aural challenge that the two were presenting to him, for he already had shown enough theatrics for the day. Still, the assertaion that he was the big boy on the playground (save his Lordship and the God Emperor) despite his height would have to come soon. He wasn't particularly power hungry, but if he gave a sermon people best listen.

As the Crusader spoke up he didn't reply, and instead gave a his censer a wave towards the man and the Retributor, temporarily bathing them in the sweet smell of incense smoke. The Confessor gave both a short nod of approval and awaited for those who were wiser than him to start talking.
Vlad rubbed his hands together once the day's business was over, and looked over his company. There was the foppish elf, the same Dwarfs, and two human buggers; a motley crew to be sure. He wondered how he'd synergise with them but then decided such a thought experiment was pointless for only time would tell. Instead, he bade them all good night and stepped outside. There he lay together with his horse, using his fur coat as something to lie on. He did not at all seem phased by the cold of the night, happily staring into the twinkling stars until he went to sleep with a raspy breath that verged on a light snore.

Vlad would awake about half an hour later than the Estalian, brought to his current consciousness by the rise of the sun becoming acute. He procured some water and waved his current boss good morning, humming a nursing tune as he did so. The mage wasn't quite sure what to do with his time so he decided to sit and watch his steed grazing whilst he sharpened one of his blades.

As the time came, he put his sword away, brushed himself off and stood up. He'd seek out the Estalian while whistling the melody from earlier. Going along he wondered what his first assignment would be. The employer clearly needed a group that could probably even take a troll or two, based on the weapons they were carrying and his own... talents. A moment passed where he wondered if he was making a mistake, if the adventurous life would turn out to be a miserable thing, going from one scarp for your life to another just so you could go back to a tavern for a week, drink away your coin, and repeat until you dropped dead here or there. Again he brushed aside the thoughts, knowing that he could quite any time he liked. Thus, he stood waiting for the rest of the group to come.
What about me :c
Horacio took another sip of his recaf as he mulled over what he heard. The sage suppressed a gag reflex as his body rejected the mix; training self-control whilst indulging himself made the Confessor smile once he realized. He snapped out of the distracted thoughts, sighing quietly as he noted that such lapses of concentration were coming more and more often with age. He wondered if his rank would merit rejuvenat treatment, momentarily staring upwards as he did so. Again he shook away the errant thoughts and made the sign of the aquila to keep focused.

"In addition to what the Sisters ask, I have a few minor concerns. First is on the matter of tongue. Do they speak High Gothic, or a Low Gothic dialect? I will do my duty regardless, but if they speak another tongue I best start learning it as soon as I can. Finally, is there any word of our mission? Like this one, it would be preferable if it appeared we were a routine visit, perhaps even if we feigned lack of knowledge that this happened at all."

With that he patted down his right sideburn where it got bushy and then looked to his comrades. "Once that is answered and if the last member of our quartet has no questions, I believe we may depart."
Looks good by me. As an aside, will get off my cheeks and post relatively soon.

Yeah it's not just in the UK. Southern europe right now is colder than goddamn iceland. Over here it's -13, windy, and rotating from flurries of snow to hail.
Your argument seems completely based on the semantics idea of "gender" wasn't used for sex since the beginning of time. So that in turn means, the word is meaningless and can be turned into whatever you want it to mean. You could say the very same for other words, but it doesn't change what they mean now. But that just doesn't conform to reality with even a passing glance

It does though, kind of anyway. The thing is that it never explicitly referred to biological differences.

And again if we're going on older the date, the more credible the source. Non-binary and all of those words assuming a gender spectrum are far, far more recently coined.

So, no I flat out disagree that "arguing of linguistics" isn't important. People have been jailed for misuse of pronouns...all these labels are thrown out there BECAUSE language matters. More than how accurate any of them even are to reality and evidence.

You get into fucking appropriation wars like this...

conspireforchange.org/?p=2283

White people can't use two spirit because it's a cultural appropriation, oh fuck I thought it was a 'gender'...Not a Halloween costume. <.<

Also, you failed to explain how we'd be able to push all of this into law, without people being able to abuse the hell of the government. Gender Fluid, means fuck you I'm both and neither, or which ever I please, any time I want. You can't prove I'm lying, I'll sue you if you tell me otherwise.

If you don't even support it, at it's most basic level, you're just flat out misinformed on the word and how it's been used in tandem with sex. Because we aren't just arguing over semantics of language. The left is arguing over reality bending and pushing political laws.

Gender is not a social construct in any meaningful way. Not in the progressive way, in what they mean by claiming that. It is a biological fact. That men have more masculine traits and females have more feminine traits on average.

Alright, here I will concede to you. I do think it is wholly criminal that people are jailed for not indulging the craziness of the mentally ill. However, again, this is all far from the original point I tried to convey. Gender is (Χριστός συγχωρέστε το για αυτό) a social construct. Gender is like imaginary friends. It's not healthy to have them, and not right to encourage people to have them but you can't tell another person "no, you don't have these imaginary friends." It's just one of those things you aren't going to win. How much success do you think you'll have telling a guy in an asylum chained to a chair that no, it is indeed not right to gouge someone's eyeballs out for snack?
