Seeing Nate appear, Maggie was already skidding to a stop before him, her flashlight's beam swinging around. "Tell me: would you think, by any means, that my brother would still hold onto this?", she asked, almost in a sarcastic way before revealing the stub to him, her hand flicking out to him. "It's Spooky Island", she said in disbelief. "I have known Shaggy since birth. He has said, in his words, that he wouldn't go to any place "spooky, forbidden, haunted, or creepy, in the name". I know he and the gang have been there, but why why would he still hold onto this?", Maggie was now confused and skeptical.

It was true: Norville Rogers was an (occasional) coward; he was prone to terror-struck panic attacks, every time he feels frightened, or nervous. Hypnotherapy worked a little for his panic attacks during his teenage years, but it certainly didn't cure him. So, why would he still onto such a trinket? Of course, Shaggy has been slacking off in responsibility, and his messy room was evident. He won't put things away, but still, it wasn't right to hold onto. "What do you think?"

"Admire the view, young Durin; this is only the beginning of a true bond", she told him, practically telling him to embrace the feeling. Since they are both balancing on one branch, the she-elf crouched down to his height, and kept him close from behind. The view was surely incredible, and she felt that they could stay and look upon the trees and the distant valleys. However, it was cut short, as Saeril heard his wonder. Her elf-eyes never failed her, and she did indeed see something coming their way. Gently tightening her hold on him from behind, the winged elf jumped off the branch, and carefully descended slowly from the tree, and towards the ground.

"Stay together! Hurry, now! Arm yourselves!", Gandalf instructed the group, just as Saeril and Kili landed safely on the ground. The she-elf had one of her curved daggers at the ready in her fingers, as she stood guard with the brothers.

Hearing his response, Saeril smiled small, and nodded her head once as if to give a bow of confirmation. However, hearing with her Elven ears that they were gonna search within a troll hoard, she did hear at the same moment that Kili politely refused to enter; Fili followed suite. After all, he and his baby brother were Thorin's best scouts and hunters; throughout their childhood, they have trapped animals together, and even trained outdoors together. The memory was a fond one, even to Saeril. Speaking of scouting, the she-elf waited for the company to proceed into the cave before mischievously looking at her youngest godson, approaching him from behind. "Hang on", she happily told him, before holding his small stature, and gracefully glided upwards with a flap of her feathered wings. After a few moments, they were perched in a tall tree, above the cave.

Meanwhile, Gandalf heard Thorin's observation, and the wizard walked to his side to take a glance. "Nor by a smith of Men. These are swords to the High Elves from the First Age", he added, and concluded, to the Dwarven king's statement. "You simply cannot wish for a finer blade!"

Let's switch it up:
How about Will Turner and Vivienne storm to the mansion, a few minutes after its invasion? They discover Abigail's missing, and that Elizabeth was killed? It would give a reason why he would go after the pirates.

At daybreak, that is where they both decide to team up and avenge her and rescue Abigail.

Vivienne smirked at her victory, as soon as she noticed the young man gaping confusingly at her brilliance. "Surprised to see me, love?", she shouted over the noise rhetorically, before putting the pistol down to dangle at her side. "You didn't think a simple cell would hold me forever now, did you?", she began to walk towards him, but she couldn't get any further when the point of his sword came into view. Again?, she thought while her hands went up half-way. "Easy, sweetheart, this was not of my doing", she told him. "In fact, I didn't know they were coming", Vivienne added, before taking a glance over his shoulder at an incoming foe. "You might want to turn around", she cooly advised him, but before she could say anything further, he was already hit, knocked out cold...

Elizabeth ran to her room's balcony, and saw the incoming mob of pirates running towards her family's mansion. Noticing her Abigail behind her in the room that they shared, the blonde moved her to the farthest part of her bedroom. "Listen to me, Abbey", she whispered, using her nickname. "Whatever you see, or hear, don't scream", she instructed before running out of the room to try and warn the servants upstairs. She didn't notice Abigail running downstairs.

It was too late; sinister cackles came from the intruders as they stormed into the mansion, terrorizing the servants and stealing the treasured valuables. "Up there!", two already pointed at Abigail at the top of the stairs; the chandelier already falling onto the middle of the floor, crashing.

It was nearly dawn; Vivienne ended up dragging the blacksmith's body by gripping under his arms, walking backwards and pulled him into a random, already-destroyed building. Getting spotted by Norrington was the last thing she needed. Folding a blanket, or a large rag, to be used as a pillow, the brunette laid his head upon it, comfortably. Sitting at his side, she moved a piece of his dark brown hair from his handsome features, and scanned him over, practically waiting for him to awaken.

Saeril chuckled amusingly at his confusion. "Of course. For the blunder you just performed not too long ago, I think you should be praised for your courage; facing the thieves. That, is a quality of a Durin", she friendly smiled, before placing a hand on his shoulder. Fili smiled fondly at the scene. Good thing he wasn't the jealous type; he wanted his baby brother to have his dreams be made real.

"Not for very long nor far enough", the wizard answered before slowly realizing a thought. "Not since a darker power ruled these lands", Gandalf resisted to look at the she-elf nearby to prevent suspicion from the others. He knew that she was that "darker power", and it would be way too early for the others to know. "They couldn't have moved in daylight", he changed the subject before noticing Thorin walk off.
