If her cousin were here, the younger one would make a small, friendly grin at 'Lizzie's slight tease of amusement. The governor's only daughter, Elizabeth Swann, had the physical appearance of a fine young woman; a young goddess in human form. For her, she didn't mind talking to those of low-status. She was just too kind when talking to them, not really wishing them harm, but only to wish them the best of luck, despite what her father thinks on such behavior.

"Well, we don't want to be late now, do we?", the governor cut in as he took the presentation case in hand, gave Will the payment. "Come now, Elizabeth", his daughter just kept her kind smile on. "Good day, Mister Turner", she softly said, sounding slightly disappointed to not talk to him a little longer, before following the Governor out of the mansion, and to the carriage that was waiting outside. The governor sheathed the sword out of its holding as he listened to the young man's explanation on the design of the sword. Honestly, the governor wasn't too interested in blacksmith apprentice's technique and skill with his control on the sword. "Impressive. Very impressive. I'm sure the Commodore will be most pleased with this", he passes the sword back to Will, so it would placed properly back in its sheath. "Well, do pass my compliments to your master, would you?", he asked him expectedly.

Behind them, a woman descended down the stairs in a fashionable Victorian dress. "Oh, Elizabeth, you look absolutely stunning", the governor complimented to the woman with her brown-blonde hair tied up. "Will, it's good to see you", she smiled while walking towards them.

Kili wasn't the only one confused; she was, as well. Saeril flinched a little once she felt the youngest take her hand, and place the stone there. As much as she wanted to keep him close, the she-elf was scared for his well-being. What if he hurts him? Due to her "episodes", she just knows that the darkness will take over at any time. The real question was: how would he feel if he learned about the things she did? In reality, she knew that she was dangerous, and her crimes made her a monster. How could he and his brother ever love a monster?

Mentally, Saeril thought that she and Kili went over this; that he wasn't afraid of her in any way. But this was so much more that than what he emphasized. Opening her palm to see the stone, the she-elf sniffed at his insistence; proof of his love and devotion. Despite her warning of telling him to stay away, and be reluctant towards his intimacy, she couldn't deny the gift, or him, for that matter. Nodding, the she-elf hugged him, keeping him close, and on the verge to shed tears of happiness.

Saeril boarded the boat with the help of Kili, and she took notice upon Fili helping push the watercraft away from shore with the oar. She even looked upon the stranger, whose name was now called "Cenrid". A typical name for a typical human, and for one, she wasn't sure about this human's prescence near her and the others. All she felt was an uneasy, nagging feeling, as if he was up to no good, and she didn't like it.

Allowing the youngest to lean against her, she allowed a cloaked arm to cover him like a blanket, as well as allowing her hand to stroke the side of her head. Taking notice upon Kili showing her his runestone, she hesitated to take it. "Kili...I can't", the she-elf looked away, closing her eyes in shame, again.

"Yeah, who knows? They might have seen potential in your performance", Shadow added to her owner's optimism. Always positive, he was. No anger, no sadness; he was only positive. However, ten months ago, when his shadow-self came to light: it was the opposite of Jaden. Only hatred, greed, and anger; it was his dark side, influenced by The Supreme King. But Shadow herself banished it from his consciousness, before confronting Yubel about it, eventually finding out that she was responsible for the uprise of his dark-self. It was scary, but he cleansed the she-demon by fusing themselves together. From there, they were loyal to each other.

Blushing at the comments from some of the human boys, Shadow chuckled in agreement to Yubel's comment. "I didn't expect myself to be this popular", she was surprised, but closed her eyes passively. "Oh well, they can try and find me, if you know what I mean", she lightly joked with a chuckle before she heard Jaden calling down to one of the Prompters, and running off to Duel Arena 2. Shrugging to Syrus, she walked down the path where her owner went, passing a few Blue Obelisks, who just stared in awe; others with envy. Worst case scenario: they will be trying to get her attention, and follow her everywhere.

Running the rest of the way, Shadow was finally on the platform where Jaden was waiting, and watch themselves come up from the floor of the arena. "I'm sure you'll teach us a thing or two in this duel, doctor", she complimented him before activating her own Duel Disk, and placing her deck inside. "Let's Duel!", she shouted in unison with them. Let the duel begin...

"Hope you don't mind, Jaden, but I'll take the first draw", declared the now-noticeable, disguised form of Shadow, as she made her first draw. Narrowing her eyes at the card in her right hand. 'Just what I've been thinking of', she smirked. "First, I summon King Gazelle of the Mythical Beasts! Fear the beast in Attack Mode!", a mighty brown creature with the head of a lion, and a body of muscle and fur, came into appearance before her and Jaden with 1500 ATK and 1200 DEF points. Sharp claws, a sharp horn on its forehead, and intimidating gold eyes; a ferocious beast, indeed. Taking a moment to calculate her points, Shadow closed her eyes passively. "With two cards down, I end my turn!", she declared rather softly.

It's been a long while since she last picked up a deck; only once during the tournament in Battle City, apart from her time under the Millenium Ring's control. If Shadow can remember Atem's strategies, she might pull this off. Truth be told, as a monster card, she will never be as skilled as her old friend. But that didn't mean she would forget on how it's played. She took a glance to Jaden, before crossing her arms, with three remaining cards in hand.

"Sir, you have a visitor", one of the male house servants spoke to the governor upstairs, who was checking his gray, curly wig. Hurrying downstairs, he could spot the young man already there, and he presumed that this young man had the sword that was to be expected at the Commodore's preposition. For him to be governor, it wasn't easy. Looking after his only daughter wasn't easy. Yes, his daughter. The beautiful Elizabeth Swann; expected to be married off to a wealthy young man to spread the family branch. However, finding the right spouse wasn't simple. In this town, wealthy and low-class don't mix. But, he expected her to find one soon enough. "Ah, Mister Turner! Right on time", governor Swann proclaimed as he approached the young man.

Shadow has been living in Yugi's shadow for the past ten months after his wish for her freedom, and the opportunity to not (forcefully) grant wishes anymore was a new chance. She had to admit that the task itself was very difficult; to obey at all times, and not oppose or judge the decisions made by the master. From her past life, and for learning the cons of her servitude, Shadow admitted that she got a little carried away with her dream to become like Divine. She didn't know about the stress, or the tiredness that her sister suffered from while performing the said-task, and it was not what the shadow genie wanted to expect at all. Not to mention that this lesson was learned after Bakura and Marik used her loyal nature against her will, in order to get close to Yugi.

Except, in Bakura's case, he only wanted her power in general; his only reason to take control of her in the first place. From there, Shadow Djinn was devoted to use her shadows for the greater good: to track and monitor the shades of the living, eliminating all anomalies lurking within the darkness of their hearts, or "shadows", for that matter. Her insecurity to even vouch for humans was beyond her reach, since she was, in fact, unseeable. Except to those who possesses the ability to see the "spirits" in the first place i.e. Yugi, Pegasus, Jaden, Jesse, Yusei, and Yuya. However, this "invisibility" wasn't to last; thanks to the Syncro-Duelist Yusei Fudo, she had the choice whether to be noticeable or unnoticeable to everyone.

All of them were her friends; all were human; all were allies; only one was a spirit: Yubel. For the past ten months, she missed communicating with Jaden's spirit partner. Speaking of, Shadow honestly missed Pharaoh; he showed her the courage she should've possessed, and for the scenario of both of them traveling five-thousand years into the past, it slowly emerged within her, when he frequently reminded her that she was a shadow-being; that she had the free-will to choose, whether to follow the rules or not. That was the only thing that was holding her back: self-awareness. Shadow went through these said memories, when she secured herself within Yugi's shadow as he walked through Domino City's park. Not that she complained; she talked to him through his own casted shadow on the ground as he walked, moving on its own.

However, their communication came to a halt when someone bumped into her owner, causing Shadow to disappear. Seeing that it was just her old friend Jaden Yuki, she was tempted to say 'hello', but once she witnessed Yugi passing her card off to him, she wanted to protest in confusion. However, with his request, she couldn't deny his "wish". He was her friend, and she didn't want to see him disappointed if she refused. But once she realized herself being one with her card, she was to temporarily be with duelist after duelist. This was a new chapter, and with that, the Shadow Genie's confidence came back. 'I promise', she responded to the boy, missing him already once Jaden made his run. It was time to move on, but who knows when their paths might cross again?

~Kaiba Corp Dueling Arena~
'Yeah, Jay, everyone's dying here. Must be a very popular place in Domino', Shadow pointed out, also revealing her transparent self on Jaden's other side, in her natural form, just opposite of Yubel. Watching the duelists before them, she remembered Yugi giving her his deck before she went back into his card. He wanted her to keep them, in memory of Atem. In return, Shadow traded with him her sister's card, and she was happy that Divine was able to go to a better place in the Shrine, along with the Pharaoh. It left a fonding memory behind, and that was one to keep. The genie looked at her new owner, before switching her appearance to her disguised form, and switching on the specially-designed bracelet Yusei made for her, making herself, well, noticeable. Slightly taller than Jaden, while holding the deck in her hand, a Duel Disk appeared on her left arm. Hopefully no one recognizes her as the Queen of Games in her. "Let's get into that school", Shadow said with a confident smile.

Saeril gave a sad smile once she pulled away from him, also looking at him when he asked about their downgraded position. In truth, dwarves were usually a useless, selfish race; they were greedy, ignorant, stubborn, and temperamental. To just hear this coming from the people she cared for the most, it was traumatizing. She never thought him or his kin to be below others, not even those of men. But they were dwarves; it was in their blood to be oblivious of their mistakes. However, the she-elf couldn't bear to see that in the brothers or their family. Especially the royal Durin family. If it helped make him feel any better, she didn't answer him, afraid to be honest with him of their predicament. But in reality, it was their uncle's decision to put their lives at risk. His only heirs!

Stroking his dark-brown hair, Saeril tried to keep her brave face on, but with the depressing tension, she just couldn't. "I don't know, son of Durin. All we can do is get to the mountain. I'll reason with Thorin. I promise", and she she did. Her godsons' hearts were in confusion, and she needed to clear it up with their uncle; the patient zero of the firestorm. "Everything will be okay", she softly said, before placing a kiss on his forehead, giving him her motherly touch to comfort him, and leading him to the boat that was about to leave. Everything was going to be alright...

Saeril held the brothers in her arms, resting her hand against each of their backs to hold them close. Fili really hugged her to thank her, so he let go; Kili still in her arms. "Thank you, Delva. We couldn't thank you enough for you to watch over us", he gave a sad smile before walking off to help the others push a boat into the water. The she-elf held the young brunette in her arms, feeling his distress and his heart break. Now, she regretted ever telling him to stay away. "Shh...", she gently told him, comforting him. "We're almost there", it was to help cheer him up again to pursue his dream.

Saeril had her teeth gritting when she noticed the incoming chaos before her. How dare they? She did hear the warning this man told her, but her eyes gleamed in anger. Putting up her hood, she approached the scene with graceful maneuver. With immense strength, the she-elf had a pale hand on the back of the man that shoved Fili, turned him around, and gave a mighty shove. "Cross them again, your fate will end swiftly", she wanted him, giving her luminous eyes a seconds glow, turning around to the men holding the youngest. "The same goes for you. Release him!", when they didn't listen, the she-elf raised her voice. "Now!", without second thought, the dwarf was dropped, allowing Fili to run to him. "I've lost my kin too. But I wouldn't dare destroy another", she informed them while helping her godsons to their feet, getting some of the soot off of them. "Come, young ones. We go", she whispered. Really needing reassurance, Fili immediately had her in a hug, really in need of her motherly touch.
