Before the destruction of Planet Vegeta, no one, not even the King, knew of an illegitimate child living within the royal household. During the age of 735, Princess Kinoko, procreated from an affair between the Queen, and a low-class Saiyan named Bardock, and prophesized to be one of the most powerful among their race, was raised as the middle child, before falling into forced-servitude under Frieza, along with her two older half-brothers Vegeta and Raditz (the only Saiyans who knew of her true parentage, at the time). Becoming known as the last female Saiyan in Universe 7, Kinoko traveled to Earth with Raditz to retrieve and recruit their younger brother Kakorot/Goku. However, their task starts to bring doubt upon Kinoko about her current position in life. Soon after kidnapping of their younger sibling's son Gohan, Kinoko pulled herself together, refusing to do any harm to him or his father, telling Raditz that she was done being abused and controlled, resulting in his defeat.

Ever since that day, Kinoko stayed by Gohan and Goku's side. Fast forward a few ages, and Kinoko now lives a "normal" but comical life as a trained martial-artist. Having to officially get an everyday job, like everybody else, she tries her best to support them, but it gets all the more complicated when old and new enemies show up and threaten humanity's very existence.

In need of someone who:
* Has knowledge of "Dragon Ball Z" / "Super" / "GT" / "FighterZ".
* Can play a few canons. Not all, but only a few, as side-characters.
* Can come up with creative ideas to expand the story.
* Can create an OC from a race of their choice to join in the adventure. You're allowed to relate him/her to a canon.

In the near future, on the fictional island of Midorijima, Japan, there is a conjunction of two cities: the rich Platinum Jail, and the poor Old Resident District. The police force on the island aren't the best, and with all the turf wars called “Ribsteez” going on in the Old Resident District, they’ll find any reason to yell or arrest someone. Another problem on the streets is “Rhyme”, a virtual-reality game where participants can compete in battles within Cyber Space, and experience things beyond the real world, like the inability to receive physical pain, while their imagination alters the visual battlefield. One could only participate if they own an AllMate, an A.I. programmed being, usually appearing as an animalized pet, while taking on an 'Avatar Form’ within the cyber world. Because so many participate in Ribsteez, players of Rhyme were considered as inferiors, while those outside gang-life were called "No Marks", who were easy targets of harassment and forced Rhyme matches, where the rules and safety regulations don't apply.

On the Eastern side of the Old Resident District, Dr. Tae Seragaki lives with her twenty-three-year-old genetically-engineered grandson Aoba Seragaki, who was artificially-created, whilst having to be born with widespread nerves, and a specifically-added gene called SCRAP, giving him the ability to control people with his voice. With no knowledge of being artificially-created, Aoba lived a normal but alienated life, having to be constantly picked on, due to his effeminate stature and the ever-spreading nerves in his long, blue hair, but was always saved by his sword-wielding childhood-friend Koujaku, in the end. Aoba's powers have caused him into becoming violent in his teenage years: Having to get into street fights, and use his telepathic abilities to almost-permanently break the minds of those crossing him. Due to this, Aoba developed a Split Personality known as the "Other Aoba". "Ren", the restraint keeping this personality at bay, somehow got transmitted from Aoba's mind, and into a dark-blue Japanese Spitz AllMate that Aoba found in the trash, allowing the said-personality to personally protect and communicate with him. Since then, Aoba got heavily involved in Rhyme with Ren, who became his fighting partner in the cyber world, and his "dog" outside of it.

Aoba's reputation caught the intensive interest of the enigmatic "identical" duo Trip and Virus. To keep Aoba for themselves, they hijacked his mind from the sidelines of one of his matches, and overloaded his mind, inside of its virtual space. Waking up in a hospital bed with amnesia, Aoba had no recollection of the "accident", of ever playing Rhyme, or of having any powers. Not knowing his altered-memories, Aoba continues to live a normal life, but having to emerged from the hospital as a completely different person: He adopted a very kind, honest, and open-minded personality, held no interest in Rhyme or Ribsteez, and got a part-time job as a clerk and deliverer. He crosses paths with an eccentric but polite android named Clear, an apathetic hacker named Noiz, and a very distant former prison-inmate named Mink. To his surprise, Aoba discovers that, through his powers, each of them, including Koujaku and Ren, have a dark side, as they forge together as a tight-knit group of companions. He also learns about his true origins, and about his "other half", who wishes to create havoc from time to time. Aoba thinks he's the only one with powers, just until he crosses paths with two individuals, who seem to possess the same but different telepathic abilities.

Truthfully, she was ashamed of her actions back on the ship, but she was mostly afraid of what Yugi may think of her of doing such an act. But on the other hand, Yami lets her know that it's a common thing to feel, and that Yugi is only just getting to know her; to not lose hope on getting to know him and the world, in return. She let him guide her head to his shoulder, and made herself listen to him. Listen to what her king needs to say. Maybe he was right; maybe she was overthinking her self-consciousness. It did make her feel a little bit better when he mentioned that Yugi was nowhere near reciprocating any of Mai's advances. So, as long as he is not focused on Mai, she can hold herself back from doing anything selfish.

No, this doesn't mean she would want Yugi for herself, like Tea, but only to keep her shadow-self at bay, and not do anything to oppose Mai, if not, harm her. "I just want to be there for him, you know? And not do anything drastic that might twist his view of me", she admitted, having to wipe a few tears from her eyes. Maybe she should talk to Yugi, as suggested. It sounded wise, so after a moment of thought, she placed a hand on top of Yami's own. "Thank you, for your wisdom", she had to thank him. He was her protector; her partner; someone else she can confide in, aside from Yugi. But she had to think that Yami would come to understand such issues, probably more than Yugi. The boy was just a child; a tender-hearted, innocent child. But like Yami said, Shadow had to learn on letting Yugi see her as who she really is. Nodding to the spirit in thanks, she reappeared by Yugi's side, back in her duel monster form, looking down at the ground.
