If you're not trying to romance the Pokemon, what's the fucking point?

Can't help but read 'woah' as a regular 'wuh', but 'whoa' as a deep, masculine 'HOO-AH!'

That's patently untrue. I planted some potassium the other day, and no matter how much I watered it, all I got was explosions.

According to the IRC, I'm a low-grade troll. They're probably not wrong.

Apologies for a "casual" joke.

but why would you apologise to a casual
@Vocab Ludmilla sounds like your best bet thanks to her lasers and ability to defend herself while camping with her Dorito shields, though you'd have to ask Bad Juju about specifics like range. Frederica has cannons but she's much more of a berserker drain tank. Kei is spec'd for staying safely distanced while focusing down a single target, but she does that more by being a slippery, mobile skirmisher than by avoiding notice. She wants to be seen. A viable option might be to steal a rifle for Monika, for obvious reasons. She's a little under-supplied and can hide it in her sash. You may need to teach her to shoot, though.

I wrote up a whole list of everyone's characters and a loose description of their combat class, role in teamfighting and specialties, but it's saved somewhere and I don't think we need it.
@Ariamis Hey, can Julia rocket jump using her hammer? Because she should totally rocket jump using her hammer.
@The book of bad juju

Kei Wentz

For the first few seconds, Kei listened to Mary's voice without actually hearing the meaning in her introduction. She held face, keeping herself as presentable in her assigned role as possible, but a little tug warmed up the edges of an unborn smile. People weren't even staring, at least any more than they would the usual cackling teenager in a dress. Damn, this girl is good. She's still got the knack, every bit of it. It was a strange thing to listen to, but Kei had almost forgotten just how fluid Mary was at doing her thing. Whatever it is she was actually saying, the aura was perfect and she didn't miss a single beat.

The effect lingered long enough for Kei to stumble in preparing some way to respond. She blinked back into awareness and rested the box in her hands, then pocketed it with a slight fidget, buying herself not only melted sugar but a precious extra second to try and fit her thoughts into the conversation. She didn't want to break Mary's flow. "I've uncovered something that I think you can guide me on, while I was travellin- traversing the shaded lanes," she opened, flickering her gaze down the main street and hoping that she'd piqued Mary's curiousity without sounding too, well, weird. "I looked, and beheld two girls in flight, both blessed with a magic light-" That really wasn't meant to rhyme, whoops, damnit, should've used 'glow'- "And they were strangers to me. They were together treading the familiar ground to the place where witches dwell, but I had never shared their footprints before, or, ah, seen them, other than in one thing: The lead girl wore a scarlet coat made in the very image of the Heir." Shit, were they looking at her?

Kei decided to cut herself off there. Instead she lifted her palms to her shoulders and pointed to Mary, then gave a cramped, questioning little shrug. Her confidence was trailing off the longer she kept it up, and it would be awkward to whisper. I swear this chick has a degree. In theatre. From somewhere.

Maybe it would be better to just hand over the reins completely than try to eke out information. Mary was always ready to receive them, anyway. "That's the story, Heir to the Legacy. What do you propose I-We do to find out who these are?"
Loopy fuck, a cymatic melee mage. Who literally just wants to be heard.

Also a designated Grief Cleric in Violet. I'd make some comment about the bar for cohesively written characters having just been raised, but this roleplay is honestly already one of the best concentrations of design skill I've seen yet; What the shit are you nerds doing in Casual?

Anyway, ok, so, my character is in a conversation so I'm going to heave up a third post now. We haven't had one in a day or so anyway, so I don't think anyone's rushing to get something in that I might contradict by interacting. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@Lolita Complex I think some characters might be waiting on details about what the entrance to the barrier is like, and I'm sure we're all curious- Any leaks yet?
Wait a minute. I remember this. IIIIII remember this.

This was the roleplay where I designed Achozaal, spider-newt earth god of caverns, and made him create a goblin race of underground warriors.

That was ages ago, but wow, how we all come back to where we came from in the end. Anyway, I don't have the freedom of time and responsibility to take this up again right now, but I sure am interested in seeing where it goes. Pity the collapse of Oldguild took away the chance to compare my writing from then with now.

Good luck, little godlings!
Well, I just got back from a Welcome to Night Vale live show and I'm slumped, snuffed, whacked and knackered. I'll be back to read all about the new character and respond in character tomorrow.
@AtomicNut She seems kinda ditzy, I love her already.
