Appearance

Airus stands roughly two meters tall, with a muscular build that reflects his own constant training, his weight is around ninety kilograms thanks to his rather dedicated psychical training. Tufts of red hair often poke out from under his hood and the bandages that are wrapped around his head. Scars mostly healed along his chest, while usually wrapped in traditional Jedi robes Airus does favor bolder color choices closer to home or when traveling on trips that involve less crawling through the dirt.

With pale skinned tanned from field work and days spent looking for items or gathering information scholars within the temple requested. At a distance with his hood up, many assume Airus is much older than he appears upon lowering it the Miraluka's rather unblemished skin, with a strong jawline his usual clothes looking more akin to traveling pilgrim or settler as he assists in dig sites, archive recovery, and taking younglings on tours of Jedi heritage sites. He also keeps a small military locker with extra robes, tools, and equipment on board his ship so he can change clothes changing out equipment between missions.

Personality

Once serving as member of the Lukasene Airus training as a force capable individual saw him learn a great deal. Yet his hunger for knowledge drove him towards wanting to leave his homeworld, however under Imperial quarantine Alpheridies was the only place Miraluka were legally allowed to live. As such this fueled his curiosity for the wider galaxy and his desire to travel even more, as well pushed him to read more in to the stories an tales of the Jedi who them had closely worked with before the Empire. A peaceful person at heart Airus believes in the stories and will often put protecting others before himself, though slow choose violence his teaching from the Lukasene make him more of a danger than most realize to his foes. With force training and natural command of sense abilities it is hard to get the drop on a Miraluka.

Skills

Form III Soresu: A defensive style at heart Airus prefers endurance to aggression, mixing in strikes once an opponent begins to give ground. Taking naturally to the form as it reminds him of staff training he had under the Lukasene, focusing more on keeping preserving ones self over harming the enemy. Airus's talent as an empath means he can understand those around him and prefers to try and use the time stalling to talk with an opponent Dun Moch a principle of combat to make one unsure of their intentions to increase your chances of victory.

Rebel Interrogator and officer: Being a Miraluka and raised on Alpheridies by the Lukasene Airus is more adept at the force and it's more common aspects, though his ability is above most members he was not overly talented in the force. His time serving in Alliance Special Forces gave him time to hone combat skills, command, and tactics in concert with his natural sensory power. Best at using sense powers such as his naturally empathy and force sight combined together he can read most people like a book. He was invaluable to the rebellion in learning the secrets of captured Imperials.

Brilliant scholar: Airus was raised on stories from his family on the Jedi order and the great heroes of old. While Miraluka treat their entire people as one family, Airus grand parents were caretakers at the Jedi temple long ago. As such he eagerly devours books, stories, and more his family records even state that their have been several Jedi who were part of his family, as the Vel Aath name comes from his father who was a human. He would love to discover the stories of the great Vel Aath's who came before him.

Weakness

Overly curious: Airus can't help but want to learn and absorb knowledge, he can't leave a stone unturned or a lever unpulled when it comes to delving into temples and libraries. It is as much as hindrance as it is a help ancient traps and puzzles have been set off and solved by his impressive mind.

Special Operations: Airus has seen the worst the Imperial government has done and been to the worst places where he could not help everyone. It colors his opinions on the old Imperial government especially any former officers or soldiers who could have participated in the Empire's horrible works. Due to his people being forcefully relocated and trapped on their homeworld and colonies for perceived loyalty to the Jedi justified or not.

It's not gambling if you always win: During his time in the rebellion Airus found a fondness for card sharking his unique form of sight and sensory skills allowed him to read people. He put this to use making credits off of other individuals especially in Hutt space, where he is now banned from several casino and some individuals even have a bounty on him.

Book smart, not street smart: Airus lacks the upbringing of those that participated or at least were able to live under Imperial control. Alpheridies was completely cut off from the wider galaxy news, sports, culture, and technology almost never appeared. Only the most daring attempted to slip the blockade, while Airus did escape joining the rebellion and special operations he has never truly had the time to live among people and to get an understand of the culture of the wider galaxy others than the snippets of living with elite grunts he served with in Alliance special operations.

Background

Born on Coruscant, his mother the daughter of two Jedi temple staff. The family would travel to Alpheridies just before the attack on the Jedi Temple. Airus's Zeltron father hailing from a well known inner rim family was cut off from seeing his children when the Empire declared all Miraluka allies of the Jedi and seditious. Airus and Varina Vel Aath were twins given a last name to help give them some connection to their now distant father, though Miraluka custom usually means they do not have one. The twins were quickly found to be far more talented than many of their school mates and were moved into learning with the Lukasene. Ashla was strong in the pair, while Airus's mind hungered for knowledge Varina being born resembling a Zeltron more adored taking inspiration in the world around here, though completely colorblind she painted with what she felt hoping to find people to tell her if they were good one day.

Airus began training to go down the path of a Seneseeker, yearning to go further while Varina would eventually follow many wondered why they would choose such a path when the Miraluka were trapped within their home. It was because as they grew older and the Lukasene had less to teach the more the pair craved to wander further into the galaxy. The only way out of the system however would be either volunteering to help the rebellion or paying one of the handful of smugglers brave enough to run the blockades. So Airus and Varina at seventeen offered their services to the rebel cell exchange for their escape. Two talented force using individuals were always of use to the rebel alliance.

Serving for years to come Varina would take a position within the rebel fleet, while Airus for his outstanding skill and dedication found a new home in Alliance Special Operations. Pulling stormtroopers out of cover, sensing foes behind walls, and putting his melee skills to use against his units enemies Airus found himself not only a valuable soldiers but a confident to many. His skill as a empath meant he could easily bond to others and sense their turmoil. He could talk with others and help them face their issues going forward. It had him useful in finding targets, sensing out the truth in Imperials, and avoiding enemy patrols.

Though in the later parts of the war Airus main service was gaining information from unwilling Imperial Officers and officials. By reading their emotional states and aura as they were placed under duress and asked questions, psychological and physical distress were methods the rebellion employed on Imperials when need be and sometimes Airus had to apply these himself if not one else could in a given situation.

After the battle of Endor Airus's service moved more into scouting and reclamation, though he was called back a number of times he preferred to spend his time sifting through ruins and reading through libraries once denied to him because of his species. When the new Jedi Order formed, Airus and Varina were eagerly brought in to learn from the Knights. Both had previous training and knowledge of the old order thanks to their ties to the Jedi Orders old allies. As such both were already aware of paths they wish to tread, though Airus shows remarkable affinity for saber combat for someone more interested in scholarly pursuits, showing casing his more violent past with the Rebellion.

Appearance:
Finn is a young man, broad-shouldered and well-muscled thanks to his work with Brahmin, as a child of vault dweller and being partially raised in a vault he's rather pale for a wastelander and much healthier than most. A battered old pipboy three thousand tuned and even color swapped to a less painful on the eyes on light blue screen. With shaggy auburn hair and a pair of welders goggles hung around his neck, stocky built with strong legs and a charming face. Sea blue eyes that can and have made hearts melt when he turns on the charm, his face usually has some oil or grease from tinkering on something. Phineas does have a few small scars on his chest and arms from the occasional tussle. He also sports burn scars on his hands from the occasional cooking incident and his work repairing and tinkering with objects he finds.

Dressed in worn blue jeans suit worn under a thick duster jacket with the patches sewn on, a holster at his left hip carrying forty-four magnum. Personality: Phineas is a kind soul and one whose prone to act of compassion and mercy, but he also strongly believes in justice and to get that in the wasteland you need to be willing to put a bullet in someone. As such Phineas finish while trusting is always quick on the draw, with lies and betrayal being the order of the day in the wasteland. Having grown up herding Brahmin and working the land around the vault his parents were born in he's far smarter than he seems and with manners to boot he is probably one of the last Southern gentlemen in existence. Phineas has always had a strong moral compass, more importantly, he has always stuck by it even when it's gotten it him into trouble. The first time he found people who were willing to stand up to raiders and threats of the wastes it was the Brotherhood of Steel, while many were fearful when they appeared in the Broken Banks of the Carolina's Finn stepped up. Helping the Brotherhood find places to scavenge and places to avoid he was given a place among them as a guide, hearing stories of Elder Lyons and started to believe in his vision for a better wasteland.

However, that dream would come crashing down when Maxson took the spot as Elder Finn and others who had signed up to fight under Lyons deserted. Maxson wasn't the Elder they had signed up to follow, after that. Finn made his was Westward looking for the fabled and lost Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel. Dreams of a new future in the West.

History / How they came to be part of Whitlash: Vault fifty-five located in South Lee County North Carolina was the vault of the people it accepted carpenters, engineers, small business owners, teachers, and farmers. Middle-class educators and workers, the vault also hosted an election system and all entertainment was based off the Wild West Americana. The Vault’s experiment was to see if instilling the idea of taming a wild and uncivilized world would help the populace expand and rebuild faster. Vault fifty-five opened after eighty years and began trading with the outside world, rebuilding the dairy farm with traders who were attempting to figure out why so many Brahmin lived in this area.

Born in Vault 55, Phineas did not spend his life underground instead his parents joined the vault residents who had begun living outside working the farms. His mother was part of maintenance while his father a natural born speaker joined up with the caravans that left to trade milk for caps. Phineas even as a young boy would slip away from the daycare and head right off to watch his mother work no matter what they tried the young man wanted to see how his mother took apart machines and put them back together in a way that made them work. It was as mesmerizing to watch and eventually they gave up trying to stop him. Soon each day with little Finn in tow she would teach him about what she was fixing.

Yet, Phineas, it seemed inherited his father's natural charm eventually convincing one of the caravaneers his father worked with to teach him how to shoot. With an old varmint rifle and a handful of bullets, Finn took to the guns the same way he took to other old world machines, with careful practice he learned to clean, repair, and care for rifles. His father fought to keep him away from violence but the wasteland never liked the innocent and eventually. Finn would lose his one day and his mother knew it would be better to teach him to fight than let him live without the skills to survive. Soon Finn and his mother began to practice shooting together and as the young boy grew into a teenager his father knew he would need a better rifle. Upon his next trip out Finn's old man bargained for an older model battle rifle and soon Phineas had his first real rifle and he'd need it soon.

Just after Phineas's seventeenth birthday after all of the milk caravans had left and the town was quiet, the stillness of an autumn day in the wasteland. A pack of Deathclaw's moved in, tracking a recently arrived herd of beef cattle Finn's town left to defense putting their rifles and turrets to work. Every trader, guard, and farmer poured lead into the beasts the heard was small thankfully only five 'claws but they busted through the wall near Finn's section. Finn aim true as ever took out the eyes of the beast leaving it blind and flailing enough time for several others to wheel about and open fire on it from all directions.

After these years, at nineteen, Phineas met a girl, she was young and capable she was from a small farm that worked in vegetables while profitable the land would be better suited to cattle in truth. After a year of getting to know her and her family, Finn made an offer to take his savings and combine it with their profits to start a small cattle ranch in this part of the state. Shortly before they had fully agreed, Finn asked Jessamine Blossom to be his bride. She said yes, her father agreed to convert his farm into a ranch against his brother's will. So Finn left them the money while he headed over to tell his parents the good news of his coming marriage, it wouldn't stay good news for long.

Finn returned three days later the cattle gone, horses too, along with anything valuable that had been left within the place. Behind the barn he found three shallow graves one for his beloved fiancé, one for her brother finer friend Finn never had before, and her kind pa who had given Finn his blessing to marry his daughter. With Ezrah Blossom not being among his families graves, Finn knew who was responsible for what had happened to this kind and decent family.

Phineas Holiday Cassidy was taken on as Deputy Marshal by Senior Marshal Sam Smith, who taught him much of what he would carry through his life. Adding the combat skills of a Marshal, Finn would spend nearly a year learning from Sam before Ezrah Blossom resurfaced. Finn hid the information and pursed Ezrah out of North Carolina to a mountain near Virginia. Finn went alone, believing that this was his fight and no one else's many people remember the story of the young Deputy Marshal who brought down a gang of ten alone. Finn was reprimanded after he took his vengeance, seeing Ezrah Blossom hang for his crimes. He would sell much of the goods taken from the corpses he made that day, before quitting the Marshal's, understanding that his attitude as he was would get someone killed.

Over the next few years Phineas would become bounty hunter, tracking down targets or people the Marshals or Tarheels couldn't be bothered with. He would range out into Virginia, Tennessee, and South Carolina on several occasions during one such trip he would acquire his six string which he would keep pristine for years to come. During this time, Finn drank heavily and developed his problem with alcohol even learning to brew it to make drinking cheaper. He was broken by the death of his loved ones and the loss of his entire plan for himself living just to find a place to be killed.

A Brotherhood squad arrived in North Carolina to search for tech and learn about what the locals were doing perhaps even establish an outpost here. Many were fearful of the men and women in power armor yet Phineas ever the tinkerer walked right up and began to ask about the features and what they had gotten working on the armor. Phineas himself had recovered a busted up suit of Power Armor from a Vertibird he'd stumbled across and wanted to know more about the working models before him. While the tight-lipped brothers didn’t say much at first upon discovering he hailed from a Vault that had built its own community they decided to investigate. They eventually agreed to have Finn show them the way to Creamery and around the Carolina's in general.

Bringing the Brotherhood to the Carolina Creamery built above Vault sixty-six, he introduced them around and showed them what they had managed to get working. Even demonstrating a few people tinkering with the idea of getting motorcycles or ramshackle cars built to make milk runs easier. However, according to the Knights on the mission, the greatest discovery of the entire mission was that the Vault dwellers had a working icecream maker. Watching a bunch of power armored knights and normally stuffy scribes line up to taste ice cream and groan with joy couldn’t help but make Finn smile.

After this introduction, the Brotherhood decided to set up their base with the friendly and easy to trade with locals of the dairy. Phineas became the go-to person and began to travel with the knights who opened more and more over time. Phineas heard tales of the Capital Wasteland and other places the Brotherhood had been, how they had helped people under Elder Lyons and done so much good even protecting people. When a group had to return home to join up with the others, Phineas was invited to come with them. During his time with the group, he’d proven a capable combatant and knowledgeable about old world tech and culture in ways on Vault dwellers could be. Joining as an initiate Finn would be promoted to Knight when the Enclave Brotherhood war broke out, Finn would perform admirably throughout at several combat sights. With special commendations being awarded for bravery and service during the battle of Addams Air Force Base, he was promoted to Knight Sergeant by the end of that war.

The Brotherhood then took it's new martial strength and brought it full force down on the Super Mutants, Finn and many other Knights battle hardened by the Enclave taking the fight to Vault eighty-seven. When the super mutants of the capital wastelands were finally beaten, Phineas's squad would evacuate Little Lamplight during their retreat. Saving nearly a hundred children, who were taken in by the Brotherhood. Finn would be promoted to Knight Captain for his actions in the destruction of the super mutants home turf. Finn would be rotated off combat duties and they put his talent to tech to work making him part for several salvage units and recovery squads deployed across the capital wasteland.

However after the Death of Elder Sarah Lyons and the election of several feckless and devise Elders Phineas couldn't stomach it when Maxson took charge and set undoing the legacy of the Lyon's family. Himself and many of the Wastelanders who had come into service under Sarah spoke up harshly, they were shouted down by old guard and berated by those who more recently joined. So Finn turned in his armor and his holotags saying that men like Maxson were the reason Brotherhood would die. Few had ever walked away but Knight-Captain Holiday did along seven other knights. They headed west towards the lost and fabled Midwestern BoS the reports had mentioned may still be active.

It took years, trials and tribulations to reach Chicago another six months to establish contact with the BoS Elders in the Midwest. Finn had finally gotten used to lacking the armor and the better firepower to match. Their new contacts in the Brotherhood put them to work looking for new towns and villages to put under protection. Finn volunteered to head back west, quietly sending back messages every few months or so. His current assignment is in Montana working as a ranch hand selling his labor and seeing what can learn about the region for the more expansionist Mid-western Brotherhood of Steel.

As such he is incredibly well read and his training covers much in the way of magic as well as sword play, making him a well rounded fighter slinging spells and working a blade. Orphaned at a young age Matthias was stripped of family titles and land in exchange for his upbringing to be paid for. His education at the academy and care given to him by the state prepared him for his eventual military service.

However, Matthias believed in honor and doing right by others, though bookish and less charismatic than others his skill in maneuver, planning, and improvisation make him an excellent second. Kind and gentle he isn't driven to combat but will fight for those who will give him a chance. Some consider him a traitor but he owes his life to Velvetica as she saved him from death at the hands of bandits that had nearly overwhelmed him. He hopes to one day make a new life here, his last name is even one he selected as his old family name was stripped when he was enrolled to prevent him from trying to reclaim his families old holdings.

When sickness swept through his families lands in north western borderlands of Ithillin, Matthias was only a babe too young to inherit. However, rather than reaching out for relatives or allowing those within the lands to raise him the royal family set about confiscating the land of his house. Their titles, lands, men, and more forcibly taken while Matthias would be made a ward of the royal court his family name stricken from the records. His families property, peasants, lands, and titles taken in exchange for an education and raising him within the court. Of course, with no one to protest this action Matthias was taken from the arms of his families loyal servants and into the halls of the King of Ithillin. His early days were one curiosity playing with other noble children and taking in a basic noble education.

However already showing a keen intellect and no small skill for games of cunning such as chess, his early use of magic cemented the choice to send him away from court to attend the academy. Under the tutelage of the wisest mages, heroic warriors, and dizzying intellects Ithillin had to offer Matthias grew, so too however did his desire to learn more about himself... Namely why he was never given a last name, something that vexed him until his teenage years. When one of his teachers finally disclosed what had happened to his family, to his home... However he could not speak as to what house it was he'd never asked the King and many houses had been devastated by sickness around the time it was hard to who his mother and father would be.

So Matthias pondered and studied... Until curiosity got the better of him, volunteering for a trip to the borderlands to battle against bandits with his classmates. Matthias slipped away in the dead of night hoping to find villagers, farmers, or anyone who might now anything about who his parents were. Instead he stumbled across the border and into middle of a raid by bandits on a Velt village, seeing the noble dressed in finery with a spell book in one hand and a sword in the other the bandits fell upon him... Only in return they tasted fire and steel. Yet for all his skill and daring numbers would drag him down, bloodied and weak he would have fallen there had it not been for the Lions arrival.

Saved by their band and nursed back to health, Matthias offered his services to Velvetica as a soldier, mage, and tactician. Since that time he has done his best to reward the kindness and skill, even adopting the a last name to suit his new home. Llewellyn, meaning like a lion was chosen as he hoped to prove they were right in trusting him and allowing him to serve alongside Velt's Fangs.

| EQUIPMENT |

Enchanted Leather Spellbook - A custom small spell book filled with spells and incantations often used by Matthias in his daily life. Most commonly his combat spells such as lightning, fire, and wind. Some pages still holding spells he is attempting to learn or working to create himself. When commanded by Matthias it will always open to the desired page, kept in a pouch of his waist for quick use.

Dwarven Steel Bastard Sword - A gift from one of his teachers during his academy days, it's honed edge never dulls and it has held up to the blows of many a stronger warrior. Though the weapon is steel it is dyed a deep black with a silvered cross guard once decorated with a howling wolf now replaced with a lion roaring set upon it.

Fiona - His trusty steed and confident, a Ithilin draft horse she can walk all day and if she breaks into a charge you best not be in her way. Responds well to apples and carrots, also known to drag her rider around by his cloak when he isn't listening to her.

| SKILLS |

Gifted with mana to spare and the talent to cast spells, especially gifted in combat magic Matthias skill as a mage is what originally got him accepted to the academy. His talent is anima magic fire, wind, lighting, and more are his preferred choice for spells though he has tried to expand to more everyday uses of magic. As well began learning more power incantations through resources from within Velt as he is cut off from the teachings he received in Ithillin.

Studying under some of the finest knights in Ithillin and now practicing against some of the finest in Velt has honed his sword play to an impressive level. Though he lacked the brute strength of other fighters he is nimble and deft making use of his speed and his own armor. Depending more on his blade's ability to be used one handed or two handed in concert with his pieces of plate to defend himself against his enemies he combines this with his most important skill.

Matthias's tactical assessment and anticipation training has given him the ability to guess what an enemy might do in advance and take steps to prepare for it. Allowing him to break down a battlefield like one might a game of chess figuring out what pieces to move, what to do next, and how to plan for the enemies retaliations after each maneuver. Working best with more information, time, and understanding of his opponents growing up Ithillin often gives him an advantage against their commanders. He makes use of this in fights as well reading opponents and planning around what their next strike is going to be.

Skilled as a rider Matthias being tall and broad of shoulders rides an impressive nineteen hand tall draft horse named Fiona, though he eschews the more common lance for the sword. His love of riding of horses in general is his hobby and passion, he could spend all day working with his mount.

Matthias slipped away in the dead of night hoping to find villagers, farmers, or anyone who might now anything about who his parents were. Instead he stumbled across the border and into middle of a raid by bandits on a Velt village, seeing the noble dressed in finery with a spell book in one hand and a sword in the other the bandits fell upon him... Only in return they tasted fire and steel. Yet for all his skill and daring numbers would drag him down, bloodied and weak he would have fallen there had it not been for the Lions arrival.

Saved by their band and nursed back to health, Matthias offered his services to Velvetica as a soldier, mage, and tactician. Since that time he has done his best to reward the kindness and skill, even adopting the a last name to suit his new home. Llewellyn, meaning like a lion was chosen as he hoped to prove they were right in trusting him and allowing him to serve alongside Velt's Fangs.

Enchanted Leather Spellbook - A custom small spell book filled with spells and incantations often used by Matthias in his daily life. Most commonly his combat spells such as lightning, fire, and wind. Some pages still holding spells he is attempting to learn or working to create himself. When commanded by Matthias it will always open to the desired page, kept in a pouch of his waist for quick use.

Dwarven Steel Bastard Sword - A gift from one of his teachers during his academy days, it's honed edge never dulls and it has held up to the blows of many a stronger warrior. Though the weapon is steel it is dyed a deep black with a silvered cross guard once decorated with a howling wolf now replaced with a lion roaring set upon it.

Fiona - His trusty steed and confident, a Ithilin draft horse she can walk all day and if she breaks into a charge you best not be in her way. Responds well to apples and carrots, also known to drag her rider around by his cloak when he isn't listening to her.

Gifted with mana to spare and the talent to cast spells, especially gifted in combat magic Matthias skill as a mage is what originally got him accepted to the academy. His talent is anima magic fire, wind, lighting, and more are his preferred choice for spells though he has tried to expand to more everyday uses of magic. As well began learning more power incantations through resources from within Velt as he is cut off from the teachings he received in Ithillin.

Studying under some of the finest knights in Ithillin and now practicing against some of the finest in Velt has honed his sword play to an impressive level. Though he lacked the brute strength of other fighters he is nimble and deft making use of his speed and his own armor. Depending more on his blade's ability to be used one handed or two handed in concert with his pieces of plate to defend himself against his enemies he combines this with his most important skill.

Matthias's tactical assessment and anticipation training has given him the ability to guess what an enemy might do in advance and take steps to prepare for it. Allowing him to break down a battlefield like one might a game of chess figuring out what pieces to move, what to do next, and how to plan for the enemies retaliations after each maneuver. Working best with more information, time, and understanding of his opponents growing up Ithillin often gives him an advantage against their commanders. He makes use of this in fights as well reading opponents and planning around what their next strike is going to be.

Skilled as a rider Matthias being tall and broad of shoulders rides an impressive nineteen hand tall draft horse named Fiona, though he eschews the more common lance for the sword. His love of riding of horses in general is his hobby and passion, he could spend all day working with his mount.

Appearance:
Finn is a young man, broad-shouldered and well-muscled thanks to his work with Brahmin, as a child of vault dweller and being partially raised in a vault he's rather pale for a wastelander and much healthier than most. A battered old pipboy three thousand tuned and even color swapped to a less painful on the eyes on light blue screen. With shaggy auburn hair and a pair of welders goggles hung around his neck, stocky built with strong legs and a charming face. Sea blue eyes that can and have made hearts melt when he turns on the charm, his face usually has some oil or grease from tinkering on something. Phineas does have a few small scars on his chest and arms from the occasional tussle. He also sports burn scars on his hands from the occasional cooking incident and his work repairing and tinkering with objects he finds.

Dressed in worn blue jeans suit worn under a thick duster jacket with the patches sewn on, a holster at his left hip carrying forty-four magnum. A heavy traveling bag crossing from his left shoulder to his right hip. A cowboy stetson sat upon his head with a old Winchester 1886 custom chambered slung across his back.

Personality: Phineas is a kind soul and one whose prone to act of compassion and mercy, but he also strongly believes in justice and to get that in the wasteland you need to be willing to put a bullet in someone. As such Phineas finish while trusting is always quick on the draw, with lies and betrayal being the order of the day in the wasteland. Having grown up herding Brahmin and working the land around the vault his parents were born in he's far smarter than he seems and with manners to boot he is probably one of the last Southern gentlemen in existence. Phineas has always had a strong moral compass, more importantly, he has always stuck by it even when it's gotten it him into trouble. The first time he found people who were willing to stand up to raiders and threats of the wastes it was the Brotherhood of Steel, while many were fearful when they appeared in the Broken Banks of the Carolina's Finn stepped up. Helping the Brotherhood find places to scavenge and places to avoid he was given a place among them as a guide, hearing stories of Elder Lyons and started to believe in his vision for a better wasteland.

However, that dream would come crashing down when Maxson took the spot as Elder Finn and others who had signed up to fight under Lyons deserted. Maxson wasn't the Elder they had signed up to follow, after that. Finn made his was Westward looking for the fabled and lost Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel. Dreams of a new future in the West.

History / How they came to be part of Whitlash: Vault fifty-five located in South Lee County North Carolina was the vault of the people it accepted carpenters, engineers, small business owners, teachers, and farmers. Middle-class educators and workers, the vault also hosted an election system and all entertainment was based off the Wild West Americana. The Vault’s experiment was to see if instilling the idea of taming a wild and uncivilized world would help the populace expand and rebuild faster. Vault fifty-five opened after eighty years and began trading with the outside world, rebuilding the dairy farm with traders who were attempting to figure out why so many Brahmin lived in this area.

Born in Vault 55, Phineas did not spend his life underground instead his parents joined the vault residents who had begun living outside working the farms. His mother was part of maintenance while his father a natural born speaker joined up with the caravans that left to trade milk for caps. Phineas even as a young boy would slip away from the daycare and head right off to watch his mother work no matter what they tried the young man wanted to see how his mother took apart machines and put them back together in a way that made them work. It was as mesmerizing to watch and eventually they gave up trying to stop him. Soon each day with little Finn in tow she would teach him about what she was fixing.

Yet, Phineas, it seemed inherited his father's natural charm eventually convincing one of the caravaneers his father worked with to teach him how to shoot. With an old varmint rifle and a handful of bullets, Finn took to the guns the same way he took to other old world machines, with careful practice he learned to clean, repair, and care for rifles. His father fought to keep him away from violence but the wasteland never liked the innocent and eventually. Finn would lose his one day and his mother knew it would be better to teach him to fight than let him live without the skills to survive. Soon Finn and his mother began to practice shooting together and as the young boy grew into a teenager his father knew he would need a better rifle. Upon his next trip out Finn's old man bargained for an older model battle rifle and soon Phineas had his first real rifle and he'd need it soon.

Just after Phineas's seventeenth birthday after all of the milk caravans had left and the town was quiet, the stillness of an autumn day in the wasteland. A pack of Deathclaw's moved in, tracking a recently arrived herd of beef cattle Finn's town left to defense putting their rifles and turrets to work. Every trader, guard, and farmer poured lead into the beasts the heard was small thankfully only five 'claws but they busted through the wall near Finn's section. Finn aim true as ever took out the eyes of the beast leaving it blind and flailing enough time for several others to wheel about and open fire on it from all directions.

After these years, at nineteen, Phineas met a girl, she was young and capable she was from a small farm that worked in vegetables while profitable the land would be better suited to cattle in truth. After a year of getting to know her and her family, Finn made an offer to take his savings and combine it with their profits to start a small cattle ranch in this part of the state. Shortly before they had fully agreed, Finn asked Jessamine Blossom to be his bride. She said yes, her father agreed to convert his farm into a ranch against his brother's will. So Finn left them the money while he headed over to tell his parents the good news of his coming marriage, it wouldn't stay good news for long.

Finn returned three days later the cattle gone, horses too, along with anything valuable that had been left within the place. Behind the barn he found three shallow graves one for his beloved fiancé, one for her brother finer friend Finn never had before, and her kind pa who had given Finn his blessing to marry his daughter. With Ezrah Blossom not being among his families graves, Finn knew who was responsible for what had happened to this kind and decent family.

Phineas Holiday Cassidy was taken on as Deputy Marshal by Senior Marshal Sam Smith, who taught him much of what he would carry through his life. Adding the combat skills of a Marshal, Finn would spend nearly a year learning from Sam before Ezrah Blossom resurfaced. Finn hid the information and pursed Ezrah out of North Carolina to a mountain near Virginia. Finn went alone, believing that this was his fight and no one else's many people remember the story of the young Deputy Marshal who brought down a gang of ten alone. Finn was reprimanded after he took his vengeance, seeing Ezrah Blossom hang for his crimes. He would sell much of the goods taken from the corpses he made that day, before quitting the Marshal's, understanding that his attitude as he was would get someone killed.

Over the next few years Phineas would become bounty hunter, tracking down targets or people the Marshals or Tarheels couldn't be bothered with. He would range out into Virginia, Tennessee, and South Carolina on several occasions during one such trip he would acquire his six string which he would keep pristine for years to come. During this time, Finn drank heavily and developed his problem with alcohol even learning to brew it to make drinking cheaper. He was broken by the death of his loved ones and the loss of his entire plan for himself living just to find a place to be killed.

A Brotherhood squad arrived in North Carolina to search for tech and learn about what the locals were doing perhaps even establish an outpost here. Many were fearful of the men and women in power armor yet Phineas ever the tinkerer walked right up and began to ask about the features and what they had gotten working on the armor. Phineas himself had recovered a busted up suit of Power Armor from a Vertibird he'd stumbled across and wanted to know more about the working models before him. While the tight-lipped brothers didn’t say much at first upon discovering he hailed from a Vault that had built its own community they decided to investigate. They eventually agreed to have Finn show them the way to Creamery and around the Carolina's in general.

Bringing the Brotherhood to the Carolina Creamery built above Vault sixty-six, he introduced them around and showed them what they had managed to get working. Even demonstrating a few people tinkering with the idea of getting motorcycles or ramshackle cars built to make milk runs easier. However, according to the Knights on the mission, the greatest discovery of the entire mission was that the Vault dwellers had a working icecream maker. Watching a bunch of power armored knights and normally stuffy scribes line up to taste ice cream and groan with joy couldn’t help but make Finn smile.

After this introduction, the Brotherhood decided to set up their base with the friendly and easy to trade with locals of the dairy. Phineas became the go-to person and began to travel with the knights who opened more and more over time. Phineas heard tales of the Capital Wasteland and other places the Brotherhood had been, how they had helped people under Elder Lyons and done so much good even protecting people. When a group had to return home to join up with the others, Phineas was invited to come with them. During his time with the group, he’d proven a capable combatant and knowledgeable about old world tech and culture in ways on Vault dwellers could be. Joining as an initiate Finn would be promoted to Knight when the Enclave Brotherhood war broke out, Finn would perform admirably throughout at several combat sights. With special commendations being awarded for bravery and service during the battle of Addams Air Force Base, he was promoted to Knight Sergeant by the end of that war.

The Brotherhood then took it's new martial strength and brought it full force down on the Super Mutants, Finn and many other Knights battle hardened by the Enclave taking the fight to Vault eighty-seven. When the super mutants of the capital wastelands were finally beaten, Phineas's squad would evacuate Little Lamplight during their retreat. Saving nearly a hundred children, who were taken in by the Brotherhood. Finn would be promoted to Knight Captain for his actions in the destruction of the super mutants home turf. Finn would be rotated off combat duties and they put his talent to tech to work making him part for several salvage units and recovery squads deployed across the capital wasteland.

However after the Death of Elder Sarah Lyons and the election of several feckless and devise Elders Phineas couldn't stomach it when Maxson took charge and set undoing the legacy of the Lyon's family. Himself and many of the Wastelanders who had come into service under Sarah spoke up harshly, they were shouted down by old guard and berated by those who more recently joined. So Finn turned in his armor and his holotags saying that men like Maxson were the reason Brotherhood would die. Few had ever walked away but Knight-Captain Holiday did along seven other knights. They headed west towards the lost and fabled Midwestern BoS the reports had mentioned may still be active.

It took years, trials and tribulations to reach Chicago another six months to establish contact with the BoS Elders in the Midwest. Finn had finally gotten used to lacking the armor and the better firepower to match. Their new contacts in the Brotherhood put them to work looking for new towns and villages to put under protection. Finn volunteered to head back west, quietly sending back messages every few months or so. His current assignment is in Montana working as a ranch hand selling his labor and seeing what can learn about the region for the more expansionist Mid-western Brotherhood of Steel.
