Eh, well, you could prob use a solo Digimon. If I recall a lot of the series had one or two which were main characters for awhile.
Do you have to play as a human, or can you just be a digimon?
So how do the dragons work exactly, as well as the powers the riders have? Do the riders share the dragon's power, or is it like Eragon where the rider is a battlemage?
@Archmage MC sorry, that falls out of the realm of mythical beings. I am open to most anything but sort, I have to draw the line at Tom and Jerry.

Ultimate Regen too much of a power? I don't blame ya.
Would you be against a Living Cartoon sort of character? I'm thinking Tom and Jerry/Looney Toons/Ed, Edd, N Eddy sorta thing.
I'm not interested anymore now that I know its Bio Android with no robot.
@Archmage MCI was expecting mega man like origin stories as well

Yeah, it would be nice if things were more clear. What was your character idea? Mine was Nanobots which basically allow you to make a 'cartoon' powered robot more or less, minus the portable hole.
@Lmpkiowell, they'd be biological robot hybrids. The idea is they have their own "personality" based from their universe origins, whoever their creator was and what they'd develop and discover over the course of the rp.

But they're cyborgs you said, not pure robots. There are no 'hybrids' like your suggesting, those are just cyborgs or bio androids depending on what you mean exactly. And ofc if you want a bio android, people can just be Cell from DBZ at that point.
Oh, I thought they were robots like Mega Man with brainmapped AI from actual people or something like that. Not Cyborgs. Though a nano cyborg is possible in the future like Deus Ex, except the person could regenerate everything including brain matter. Now the question if its the same person or not is an entirely different discussion.

But I wasn't expecting cyborgs.
Metal gear focuses a lot on nano machines.

Not to the extent I'm thinking of. I'm thinking of a mech made entirely out of Nanomachines. Which means they can make almost any weapon much like the aforementioned series I listed. The downside of this is that it also means the mech would ALSO have some scary regenerative abilities and the other terrors of Nanotech, IE, Mass can be converted to other mass a-la FMA. The problem is I'm more interested in the regenerative ability and make its combat more melee based and ranged weapons can only be used at a severe energy cost or if an external power source is used. But I'm not sure if you think thats ok or not.

Their weaknesses would be basically whatever it took to kill that terminator in I think the first movie? You know, the one who was made of liquid metal. Either that or a kill code.
