With all due respect sir, I’m not allowing my daughter to even exist in the same universe as a monster like Nemid. I will have to consider the other three.

I understand that. I’d have done the same for my family. At the very least, I feel as though she should have a say. The minimum that I will command of you is to instruct her of the situation, and let her make the choice herself.
<Snipped quote by Armed Forces>

You’ve made your point. Give me the intel.

Alright. Option one, you ask Max Cerberus. His biggest strength compared to the others is his individual strength and resolve. It’s worth noting that he also will have the least chemistry with Isaac, due to a long period of bad blood between the two families. Option two, you approach Lucas Rhett. His overall experience in dealing with opponents stronger than him would make him practically ideal for the mission. The biggest downside, of course, is his lack of individual power in relation to the scale of fighting in question. He would be very frail, effectively a “glass cannon”. Option three, is that you ask Isaac himself. The strengths to such a decision should be known to you, but the downside is a heavy one. It’d be a risky maneuver to allow him to effectively occupy both major roles in the assault, and that would contribute to a more easily achieved failure. Should also be noted that utilizing both the technology we need from him and our own could be too much for even him to handle effectively. Lastly, we... Ask your daughter. The next most capable the entire Alliance knows of. She is undoubtedly the safest pick, if a bit inexperienced in such levels of fighting. I also feel as though you both should have a right to decline.
While I assure you that your concerns are appreciated, these options we have presented are part of months of planning. So you would do well to abide by the decisions of the experts, and make your own choice based on what I am about to tell you. Unless you’d rather be the one facing Nemid head on yourself?

*Other ships seem to bombarding me with a variety of weaponry, but none of it seems to do much*
Very well.
*Unleashes a volley of finger-sized blasts at you that, despite their size, radiate energy with incredible intensity*

*Manages to deflect them all for a bit, some of them at you and each of your friends, but cannot keep up with the onslaught, as a sudden barrage of them all visibly impale me in various places while also sending me rocketing into the ground on Phiaxes below. Nothing else happens*
<Snipped quote by Armed Forces>

You intend to die before submitting to the master of all?

You bet I do.

*Looks annoyed*

*Raises my sword, as though to prepare to charge you, but stops and looks at the six others around you and stops what I'm doing, simply deciding to remain in place*
.
@Inimical

...
*Eruptions start to sound off from within the ball, and before about a quarter of the planet is absorbed, the ball erupts outwardly into billions of much smaller fragments of energy harmlessly, much like a firework. I remain floating there, despite now clearly being burned to various degrees all over my body with my clothes mangled and out of breath*
@Inimical

*Is completely overcome by the force and disappears into the ball*
@Inimical

*Floats between the planet and your sphere, and points my sword at the energy, willing it to slow down, but visibly putting a lot of effort into making this happen*

@Techspert

*From the television, it appears as though a massive ball of energy formed in space and suddenly moved to absorb the planet, but met unseen opposition*
