Quitting the RP. I tried, but it involves a lot of time and effort i cannot afford.
He missed.

Thankfully.
Herodotus Sykes frowned. "That your majesty is a-" But he could never finished, as the creature that the sensors had picked up had decided to barrel through the ceiling in the throne room. While not visiblely affected otherwise, Herodotus Sykes blinked twice. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. A dragon. A tangible one. He had only thought those things were inventions of storytellers, and at most, some exotic aliens could look like ones.

And the beast was talking, making demands to the king. Herodotus Sykes just waited and listened. There apparently was some beef, and some kidnapping... and no one was paying attention to the wantom destruction of Empire's property. He sighed as he made himself scarce, and headed for a very familiar pattern in the wall. A gentle touch of the hand that bore the symbol while everyone was distracted, and another ancient contramption full of letters, a keyboard appeared. He typed deftly, in a feat of concentration while they were quarreling. The cracked display of the monitor flicked ominously.
>PARTICLE GUN ONLINE
"Pathetic. I've had enough of you prehistoric yokels. I have had enough of this era of mutants and beast. I am so tired..." Sykes added, gritting his teeth. "Swords, sorcery, princesses kidnapped. All. of. It." The letters flicked through the screen, strange symbols peppered with words. The Code of The Ancients, no less. Sykes keep compiling and patching the weapon's system, turning a defensive system into an offensive one. Red crosses peppered the map.
>TARGET ACQUIRED. SYSTEMS FULLY CHARGED.

By now, the beast had probably taken flight and took the king's daughters. But Sykes couldn't let it stay. He was angry. A parting shot was needed. Ancient coils in the top of Midhaven sprung to life, sparkling with light. Then, like a lance of light the weapon exploded, the sonic boom roaring not soon afterwards.

BOOOOOOOM!

The arrow of pure energy tore through the forest, the golem stragglers in full force, barely missing the dragon thing as it flew. Well probably it was a good thing, as Sykes understood that it would've disintegrated the heirs of the throne in front of their sobbing father.

Yes, his face would tell that something is making him uncomfortable, but you wouldn't know it was about spiders, as you are currrently focusing on Rosaline and not the conversations around you.

Not that she would ever be able to do that. I was trying to make a joke,jeez. I will edit it out. Dont really want to keep going in circles for a trifle.
@AtomicNut

ummm, sorry to burst your bubble...but Mistletoe wouldn't know that Mikhail has a problem with spiders as he only thought about it and din't say a word about spiders. If anything, she would equate his grimace with Rosaline being a noble. And anyways, he wasn't freaking out, it was more or less dreading the spiders.

His face tells it, unless he is a good actor.
"Ufu" Mistletoe's reaction to the attention was like as one would expected. Puffing like a toad, she bore a grin as wide as a lion's mouth. Her eyes full of smarm and smug traced back to the young man's face, to see what it would look like. She decided that he would still look better as a frog. Her attention however sprung back to the noblewoman, before the woodsman's intention to woo the lady interferred any further. He should've bought the potion, instead of trying to be useful to heal people.

Before the great Mistletoe, he would make a fool of himself, wouldn't he be? Aeva just nodded slightly, as she spread open her cloak, revealing several pouches with glass phials of unknown content. "Currently I do have love filters, potions of beauty, potions for old people's pains, potions of...virility"- she whispered this one a little lower- "but I am pretty sure short of healing a decapitation I can make any healing potion you would want on request, my Lady." Well, she did overshot her abilities a little there. Her potions could not restore mangled limbs, not yet...but anything short of a deadly pox, dismemberment or a cursed bite she was confident she could handle.
@Thinslayer
Well, so much for subtlety Sykes shrugged as he went on to type, eyeing a mirror of the image that was displayed in the Throne terminal. They were under attack, and their target was big, also numerous, with a peculiar bio-signal... and didn't have any kind of IFF countermeasures. There was loud banging on the door, and Sykes stretched himself from his seat, as he opened the door.

"Hm, the good news is that this ancient relic will still hold out for a while yet...the bad news is that, er, well, I seem to have activated some sort of ancient...mirror system thing. The Ancients had a lot of these things for farseeing." He said, edulcorating the truth with obvious metaphors. "Yeah, I know what are you going to say. Throne room, right?" Sykes sighed as he begun to walk upwards.

Midhaven had a powerful defense system... if only he could do some rerouting, he would have little trouble hitting something that big or numerous anyway. But to do so, he probably needed to use the throne room. And risk alienating the king. Well, too bad for regrets, as he finished his ascent into the King's chambers not soon after.

"Hm. You called, your highness?"
The cliche was on purpose... I didn't want to think TO hard about it.

Sykes and her should team up for the hilarity.

"Where did you get that piece of genetech?"

-Insert crazy tech lingo here-

<Snipped quote by Avali>

The Mark of the Hero is a genetic modification that prevents muscle atrophy and promotes memory retention. Put simply, it lets you level up and keep your levels. The Mark is commonly thought to be heritable or divine, but reality is much more...

...interesting.

I mean, Sykes has one of those too if you think. His Mark of the Overseer (but his is more like a translation tool and master key). And he hasn't aged... Or I got something wrong from all the back and forth.
