how would you describe their personality?

“I’m not extra. You’re just basic.“

Haneul is made for the spotlight. He’s charming, expressive, and commands attention with every word. He knows how to work a crowd, and isn’t afraid to steal the spotlight if you’re not using it. He talks with his hands, poses when he’s thinking, and walks like there’s always a camera somewhere watching. People either love him or think he’s allergic to subtlety, and he’s fine with both. He knows he’s pretty. And strong. And talented. And he will tell you. Every time. Beneath all the bravado, though, he’s a softhearted perfectionist who hides deep insecurity.

He believes in the power of aesthetics, that hope can be beautiful and that strength doesn’t have to look grim. When someone else falters, he’s the one who cracks a joke, strikes a pose, and reminds them they’re stars too. If you’re part of his circle, he’ll defend you with his whole heart. Hurt someone he loves, and you’re getting roasted *and* roundhouse kicked.

what has their life in Angel Grove been like?

Haneul’s family emigrated from Seoul when he was ten, his father taking a tech job in Angel Grove’s growing startup scene. While his parents dreamed of him becoming a software engineer, he dreamed of lights, choreography, and screaming fans. He’s spent years balancing school with cheer practice (it’s good for practicing dance), voice lessons, and uploading sleek K-Pop-style videos to his small but loyal online fandom under the name Lux.

At school he’s that guy. Fashionable, late to class because of rehearsals, always humming hooks from his latest upload. Teachers see him as “unfocused,” but he’s driven in ways they don’t understand. He’s saving up for summer auditions in L.A. and plans to debut as a solo idol before graduation.

He’s an expert dancer with impressive flexibility and coordination. Years of performing have given him stamina, spatial awareness, and a keen sense of rhythm. He also has the singing voice of an angel. He also has an eye for fashion and styling.

Socially, he’s a natural mediator. He’s charming enough to defuse tension with humor or empathy. It’s not manipulation; he genuinely feels people’s moods and adjusts to their emotions.

how would they react to danger?

He’ll crack a joke to calm everyone else’s nerves (and his own, let’s be honest). Then throw himself into harm’s way if it means saving someone.

Relations/Opinions Sheet

Seraphina Henderson My bestie, my ride or die. We’ve been best friends since I moved to Angel Grove when I was 10. We became cheerleaders together, and we support each other in everything.

People like to assume I’m the Gretchen to Sera’s Regina, but that’s not true. We’re equals. We both shine together. When Sera’s leading, I’m hyping. When I’m performing, she’s cheering. That’s what makes it work.

Also, between you and me… her twin brother Sam? Kind of hot. I’ve had my eyes on him for a while. Is that weird? Probably. Do I care? Not even a little.

Matteo Rosales I know him through Sera, and from the interactions we’ve had, I like him a lot. He’s smart and seems genuinely nice. He’s easy to be around, and he never makes me feel like I have to dial myself down. I think we could be really good friends once we hang out more. I also fully plan to make him help me fix my ring light.

Danny Jackson We could not be any more different if we tried. He’s an all American Jock, and I’m a KPop Star in the making. Every time we talk, he looks like he’s trying to figure out if I’m joking or if that’s just how I am. (Spoiler: it’s both.) He’s polite, grounded, and honestly a little too serious sometimes… I’ll win him over one day. I always do.

Charlie Anderson We’re… figuring each other out. She’s got the same energy that I do. We’re either going to be best friends or drive each other insane, and honestly, I’m fine with either.

Tia B. Scott She’s intense I’ll give her that. I don’t know her well yet, but I get the sense there’s more to her than the “don’t talk to me vibe” she gives off suggests.

Appearance (Before Awakening) Conner is tall and lean, standing at exactly six feet tall. He has slender well defined swimmers body that he is very happy to show off. He spends plenty of time out in the sun, and thus has a lightly tanned skin complexion. He has a boyish heart shaped face, with big brown eyes, and a small nose. He keeps his brunette hair spiked up in the front, a style he thinks is cool. He can most often be seen with a grin on his face.

As for clothing, even though Conner comes from a wealthy family, he doesn’t dress the part. He wears simple T-shirts and jeans all the time. He also likes to wear tight fitting tank tops to show off his physique at times. When it’s cold out, he’ll wear a light blue hoodie. Footwear consists of a reliable pair of blue and white sneakers, or sandals. He dresses for comfort more than for fashion. He does like the color blue, and incorporates that into his wardrobe.

Appearance (After Awakening) His already athletic build becomes even more defined. His eyes and hair shift to a sea green color, and subtly shimmer when he channels power. Thin, scale-like patterns appear along his shoulders and back, glowing faintly when wet. His hair flows like it’s underwater even when dry. His costume includes sleek oceanic armor styled after Greek myth. It’s deep blue and gold, with coral and shell accents that shimmer like the sea. He alao wears a dark blue corinthian helmet, with a sea green crest, and a sea green cape.

Awakening Details

Vision: In a moment where time stopped post wipeout off the coast, Conner found himself standing in the ocean. Somehow, he was able to breathe underwater. A serene woman appeared before him “The tide does not ask for permission. It rises because it must. So will you.” She offered him a glowing trident. When his hand closed around it, the water erupted around him, and he rose out of the sea.

Origin Story: Poseidon’s Trident is one of the most iconic weapons in Greek mythology. Wielded by the god of the sea himself, it was said to cause earthquakes, summon storms, and control all the waters of the world.

Manifestation: The trident materializes in a swirl of saltwater and shimmering seafoam, rising from the ground like a geyser. The weapon itself is gold and deep blue, with prongs shaped like crashing waves and engraved with glowing Greek runes. When Conner holds it, water seems to respond to his emotions, rising and swirling around him.

Personality: Conner is a spontaneous and outgoing young man. He likes to have fun. His favorite activities are surfing, swimming, playing video games, and reading comic books. He enjoys socializing with others and being the center of attention. He is an handshaking, touching kind of guy. He openly expresses affection through hugs, holding hands, as well as stroking and grabbing shoulders. He particularly likes flirting with attractive guys. He makes friends easily, and will happily chat up strangers if they interest him somehow. He enjoys social situations, and believes that everyone else would too. He's likely to convince people who he perceives as being lonely to come along with things like 'come on, you'll enjoy it!' or 'you don't know what you're missing!' While he does need to spend time alone once in a while, he gets bored if he does it too long. He values all his relationships, and will happily stick with anyone he considers a friend.

He can often be found with a smile on his face, even during stressful situations. He often makes jokes, when the situation is tense to lift people's spirits. He may tease others in a 'playful' way, and expect them not to 'take it so seriously.' He does feel bad if somebody does actually get their feelings hurt by what he says. Sometimes his attempts at humor are read as him not taking the situation seriously. While he does joke around a lot, he is capable of getting things done. He likes to live in the moment rather than dwelling on the past. This means Conner is not the best when it comes to organization, or planning. Due to his lack of planning ahead, it makes him impulsive, and he tends to jump into things without a second thought. He gets bored when he is not sufficiently stimulated, and will complain about being bored. He is also not the most tidy person. He does clean up his mess after the fact if it's pointed out to him, but he has trouble avoiding making a mess in the first place.

Growing up a member of a rich family that has high standards, and a seemingly perfect older sister has given him a number of insecurites. He’s always worried about not being good enough, and that he doesn’t belong anywhere. He feels like he has something to prove. He wants to have a purpose in life. He tries to hide his worries behind a mask of being a cool laid back surfer dude, but they’re always there. It manifests as envy towards people he thinks are better than him.

History: Conner grew up in an upscale area. Comner was the youngest son of the wealthy and prominent Waters family. His parents were quite strict, and they had high standards for their kids. Conner had an older sister named Arianna, and she was the the apple of the family’s eye, at least it appeared that way to Conner. She was beautiful, talented, intelligent, and it felt like she could do no wrong. To him, it always seemed like anything he could do she could do better.

In his teenage years, Conner gave up trying to live up to the high standards set by his sister. He only did just well enough in school to get by, and spent a lot of time slacking off. He would often act up in class, and get himself into trouble. There were days where he would cut class to go to the beach and surf. Surfing was one of his favorite activities. It was definitely something Arianna wouldn’t do. He enjoyed the thrill and adrenaline high of catching a big wave. That, and he also flirting with the hot guys in swimsuits on the beach.

He continued coasting through life trying to have as much fun as possible. Even though his grades weren’t the best, he was rather popular with other students, and had a few close friends. His parents wished he would put more effort into his studies, and better represent his family name, but Conner didn’t really care to try. His sister was obviously the shining star of the family, so why did they need him for? He works at a surf shop near the beach. He was always told to “grow up.” Now he’s being told he’s destined to carry Poseidon’s legacy.
Motivation: Conner didn’t set out to be a hero. At first, it was all adrenaline and aesthetics. The powers were cool, the trident looked badass, and people started paying attention to him for once. But over time, he began to realize something deeper: with this power, he could do something real. He could finally be more than the screw-up little brother or the guy who coasted through life. Maybe he’s not a perfect hero, but he wants to try, even if he’s scared he won’t be enough.

So, I haven’t posted in a while, but I’m up for continuing.

Young Justice

Interactions: Mateo.

Zach looked up from his conjured drink just in time to catch the sun-glinting, walking thirst trap that was Mateo making his way across the sand. His eyes followed him with an unapologetic smile, that smug smirk, the tattoos, those trunks… rude.

He was still admiring when Mateo flopped down on the towel beside him and said, “You gonna share that, cariño?”

Zach offered the drink with an overly dramatic flourish. ”Only because you said it in Spanish.” He leaned in slightly. ”Also, full disclosure, I did conjure it. If you start levitating or glowing, tell me. Could be a side effect. Magic is weird like that””

He didn’t even bother hiding the grin when Mateo turned his attention elsewhere, mistaking Will for Viktor. Zach giggled to himself. ”You’re a menace. And I mean that in the hottest way possible.” He murmured low enough for Mateo to hear.

When Mateo settled in again, Zach reached out and gave his arm a light tap with the back of his hand.
”You doing okay? They’re a lot, I know. But let’s be honest, so am I!” His tone was gentler now, more sincere. ”You don’t have to impress anyone but me, alright?”

He gave Mateo a small wink, then added under his breath, ”And you already aced that test hours ago.”

Then he leaned back again, tilting his head toward the sun with a relaxed sigh. ”Still voting we move the whole team here, by the way.”
