Oops, I missed Zarkun's original post. I'll get started then. First order of business is reading and seeing what you all have created in my absence. I'm very excited about that! I think I'm going to start on that right now actually. I'll post here again once I'm finished.

Just a question. The timeline's become a little skewed from absences (not anyone's fault, it's just that time of year) so what's happening with that?

Well, being gone for so long myself, I'd like to take on the daunting yet exhilarating task of reading through everything that has been written in my absence. I'll form an opinion on that question after doing so.

I'll take your positive response as a motion to proceed with these updates. If we can get a second from @Zarkun or @Dusksong, I will begin.

@DragonofTheWest I would think that your character being an Angel (not needing Magic to preform miracles), would literally have no need for Magic. It feels kind of shoehorned in, if you get me? I mean, you're an archangel, divine fire is kind of just your thing. Its not "divine fire creating magic", its literally a part of what you are.

Also, the whole "origins unknown" thing is well and good, but you can't exactly be mysterious when God is around. He's kind of omniscient.

I would have to disagree with you on some points there, if I may.

1) He can use the term magic if he pleases to describe his heavenly abilities. The word "magic" itself can mean any number of things, such as the google search result, "the power of apparently influencing the course of events by using mysterious or supernatural forces." His 'magic' completely falls within this description.

2) Let's also take a closer look at the "origins unknown" point. This is an exact tid-bit from his profile...

...a complete mystery even to most angels in heaven.

I believe the emphasis here is on "most angels". This implies that some angels do in fact know his origins, they are just few in number. And this most certainly implies that "god" would know, as he is admittedly "omniscient".

But don't take my criticism on your criticism to heart. We're all friends here!

Hey guys and gals,

It sure has been a while! I'm glad to see a few people have stuck with this RP. I've recently quit my full time day job underneath "the man" in order to focus more on a company that I have started. I'd rather not talk about the details on that. It IS legal and wholesome; I just want to keep my real life separate from my RP life.

That being said, my schedule has opened up immensely. I'm want to revisit this RP in order to build some much needed features, such as a gym infrastructure. As my first order of business, I would be moving some content from the 1st OOC post to the 0th OOC post,so Co-GMs can edit the 0th post. Unless there are any objections, this would replace the off-site google document.

I would then be promoting new people to the position of Co-GM. This would be a solid way of spreading out the work load even more. If you've been active in this RP and would like to be a Co-GM, just let me know. To keep things organized, Co-GMs would have different areas of focus (e.g. Co-GM of Location Approvals, Co-GM of Character Approvals, Co-GM of Organization Approvals, Co-GM of Story Arch Tracking, etc...)

Also, I will not be continuing work on the stand alone site that I began earlier. I have my hands full already in regards to website development.

Let me know what you all think about me becoming re-involved in this RP and the ideas mentioned above. I don't want to make any moves without your approval, seeing as you all have been much more active than myself. I only want to help your community grow and hopefully become an active participant myself. And on that note, any input at all would be appreciated.

Sorry for the double post but I wanted to make sure this wasn't missed. I'm curious about death in this game. More accurately about the soul. What happens to the soul if a demon kills a human or angel. What happens when a demon dies? Since there is necromancer I'm curious because I intended on strengthening my summons by taking the souls of the fallen. But maybe that would only work for demons.

The souls of demons and angels are indistinguishable from their body. Their bodies are only manifestations, hence eternal life. In-betweeners on the other hand have their soul within their body and that is released once they are killed.

If and Angel is slain, they will return to heaven. If a Demon is slain, they return to hell. At this point, the process of returning to the earth realm, even with the dimensional breaks, takes about a decade (unless summoned via contract).

When an in-betweener dies, their soul is trapped on another plane of existence here on Earth. Before the dimensional break down, souls would naturally gravitate towards Heaven or Hell, depending on how they lived their lives. With everything out of wack now, souls will stay stuck in limbo here on Earth until a demon or angel forcefully takes the soul back to their domain.

Ahh! At last! A sworn enemy to the demon invasion! Your character is solidly built, and I can't wait to see your IC posts. That's a figure of speech of course, take all the time you need (I'd love for you to become inactive so that I may turn Achilles to the dark side.) Mwahaha! Seriously though, welcome!

Downtown, Capitol City

Nearing the end of his speech, Balthazar's voice had changed from menacing to maniacal, from disturbing to out right terrifying. The crowd of demons roared with deafening conviction, howling up at the dark sky. "And now! Go forth and feast! Swarm the city! Rip apart anyone that stands in your path!"

With those final words, thousands of demons, large and small, spread out in all directions. They marched in large groups. In their path, only destruction remained, abandoned cars sent flying across the streets, buildings demolished partially or entirely. The screams of innocent humans played like the darkest of orchestras. Explosions going off in such a way, they almost served to keep time, as a metronome would.

As the last of his army had left the square where he delivered his speech, Balthazar calmed down and made his assent into the sky. His dark laughter could be heard echoing across all of downtown and even faintly throughout the city. No longer in a physical form, Balthazar watched his army from above, spreading out as an unnatural cloud of darkness.

First draft of my character is done~! Going to have her associated location, as well as the juicy details of her pact with a certain Angel up sometime this week.

You can probably see why I was amused at @Weed making a wizard, and a summoner at that, considering this character was already in the works at that point. Great minds think alike, and all that I suppose~

I just took the time to read your character sheet. I like it a lot! It is quite long however, so don't be upset if someone on down the line interacts with your character without remembering an "important detail". As more characters are added, it will be more practical for new users to skim over character profiles instead of reading every long one.
