Bio

This is my second profile on here, and I have been Play-By-Post RPing for about nine years now. I do my best to see every RP to the end or at least let my character come to his/her own dramatic conclusion when I feel like signing off. Just like novel writing in real life, I tend to find myself on long hiatuses. Since writing is a great way to work out your brain, I try stay engaged as much as possible.

My favorite genres include futuristic worlds, mysteries, and super powers. Any mixture of these three elements will peek my interest.

I'm considering a soft reboot of a Pokemon RP that I used to run. I've had some recent ideas that I think would make it run smoother. Here's the pitch:

The story takes place here on Earth, in an alternate reality where the Pokemon world and our world are one and the same. I've already mapped out (in a private document) where all Pokemon from Gen 1 to Gen 7 are located, and I can add Gen 8 Pokemon along the way.

The technological landscape would be about what we could hope for out of an Earth 2100 landscape combined with all the questionable technology of the Pokemon world. So flying cars and cities floating on water will be a thing, Pokemon PCs are of course a thing, and healthcare is surprisingly efficient/free. On the other hand, we're still partially relying on non-renewable energy sources, and space travel isn't really practical yet (at least without the magical assistance of certain Pokémon).

Players could control up to two characters: a newbie trainer and/or an expert trainer. This would depend on your preference.

As newbies, you'll be focused on the slow grind of building your first Pokemon team and traveling around the world for the first time. You'll be able to take on low level missions or just free roam and see what kind of trouble you can get into.

As experts, you can skip to having a decent collection of Pokemon (about 50 or so). You'll have to spend a while building your character sheet with me, but when you're done, you can go on basically any adventure imaginable.

Activities in this RP would include but not limited to: Gym Battles, Tournament Battles, Pokemon Contests, Marathons, Breeding Pokemon, Photographing Pokemon, Investigating Corrupt Organizations, and taking on Various Missions of all kinds.

I suggest starting with a Newbie Trainer, so we can get started sooner. You can create an Expert Trainer, while your playing as your Newbie Trainer.
So, do I have any takers?

I have not read alot about the RP yet, however I will read like the last pages. It's okay for me to start in the "Training Arc". I actually like swimming alot, even if it's 12 hours....... ;-) L.O.L.

Also, yes, please take a look over the most recent pages. I'd say, from page 8 would be enough to catch you up on things and introduce you to the fighting system (Which you aren't expected to fully understand off the bat. It changes often anyways.).

Or you can start on page 6 to catch the climax of the "World Martial Arts" story arc. That was a fun battle!

When you are ready, PM me your ideas for a character sheet. I'm pretty lenient with whatever.

Meanwhile, we're getting shot at by turrets while waiting for my response and I'm not actually sure what we can do about this.

Also, just for clarification. Niko and I are still like 2 weeks ahead in terms of timeline, right?

Correct, you are two weeks ahead in the timeline.

I think so, and the answer was right in the post: We're gonna have to disable the nearest turrets (Jam them, smack them, just make sure they can't fire at us) before we jump down off the wall.

Also correct, you are each close enough to disable a turret. You're training, made you surprisingly fast. It also made you suprisingly strong. A good whack should do the trick, at least enough to break their hinges. It's up to you two.
If possible I will join :-)

Okay, there are two story arcs going on at the same time at the moment, and the one that could use another person would be the "Training Arc". I don't know if you have already read through our RP, but in short, a group of Frieza's galactic patrol is coming to Earth. They are coming to probe our defenses, and if Earth is deemed too weak, Frieza will send reinforcements to conquer the planet.

Would you like to join this story line? If so, your character would be currently swimming through the ocean, from Kame House toward the main training island, a 12 hour swim (give or take a few hours, depending on your character).

I'm going to check on this tomorrow around this time, to see if we get more responses.
Is this still going on? I'd love to join a re-start!

How about it everyone? Is this still going?

Top of the wall

Inside the giant wall was a hallow hallway that spanned its entire length and was divided into sections, separated by giant metal doors. Along the inside walls of this long hallway, were alarms, alarms that were now blaring. The voice over the intercom called all guards into position. The men and women responded right away, some on foot, and others on various vehicles.

From outside the wall, none of this could be seen or heard, all was quiet on this alien planet. Leaving Niko and Han to only assume that their plan had worked, that the building was on high alert.

The sensors of the cannons were only momentarily affected by the blinding light of Han's technique. By the time the two men had jumped halfway up the wall, the cannons were coming back online, swiveling on their mounts, trying to line up their shot. But the two men were rising up the wall too quickly. The cannons couldn't turn fast enough to shoot at their targets.

They were at the top in a split second. The vast city stood before them in all its sunset glory. They didn't have time to take in the sight however, because the cannons were still turning. Apparently, they were completely capable of turning around, like a barn owl, and shooting into the city as well. As they descended, limited by the speed of gravity, they would be sitting ducks. They needed to disable the cannons before jumping down.
