I was not... in the right place emotionally and mentally. Words cannot express how deeply sorry I am for unintentionally ghosting the rps I'm in. I'm working a lot to become a better person now.

Lorelei raised an eyebrow. So this would be the official way for them to be recruited into their respective groups, she thought to herself. She was already oriented on the possible routes to take and chose DATA since that was where her talents and expertise were. Part of her did wish she was a shapeshifting kind of mutant so she could transform into the characters she liked, but she's content with what she had right now and will never let go of the techy-magica-superheroine aesthetic she loved.

As the others would probably do, she nodded in thanks to the greeter guy whose answers did suffice for their inquiries before walking to their respective booths. Perhaps he knew the group will only be satisfied when they went to the kiosks of their group. She actually didn't notice if any of them were DATA like her but then again, she barely took interest in other people especially if they weren't interested in her.

She noticed that instead of a human being, the one running the DATA booth was a robot. She took a minute to admire the craftsmanship that went into designing and creating it, figuring whoever built this was one heck of a smart gal.

Lorie tapped the robot's shoulder with her staff, making a surprisingly pleasant sounding clinging sound. "Lorelei Pope, heroname Starshine. I'm here to apply, or whatever the process is, for DATA." She introduced herself to the robot, then got closer to look at the screens then looked back at the four-armed robot. "How can your central processing unit able to process all this stuff? It's a miracle you're not like overheating or going haywire yet from all these data you're assessing at once."
Like the others, Lorelei gathered around the man to discuss hero stuff. Bernard looked like any other regular joe in the city, but she finally did recognise from their examination day. She remembered he was always warm and welcoming no matter how many people he interacted it, traits Lorie couldn't even imagine herself have if she were in his shoes.

It seemed that this was an open table discussion based on Bernard's suggestion to ask him about anything the group wanted to know. Lorie acrually had a lot in mind. Do heroes have normal clock in and clock out hours like corporate employees? How much was their salary? At what range did their insurance covered? Did they even have insurance? What benefits could a hero get?

Alas, Lorie kept it simple for now.

"Do you have some advice for us on how are we going to balance life as heroes with our studies, mental health, just our usual day-to-day lives? Feel free to correct me but I assume that we're still obligated to help even when we're out of costume and it's our quote-and-quote day offs, right?"

Compared to her husband, Frida was a warm ray of sunshine after a cold snowy day. Archie let out a breath he didn't know he was holding when Neil left. He would be lying when he said the big man didn't scare him, but he never really saw anyone that looked like him in his life. It's true what his parent said about meeting people of all kinds on his adventure. He's already stoked to see who he'll meet next!

"Your daughter's a Trainer too? That's so cool! I hope we can meet her some time. Oh and thanks for inviting us in, Mrs. Anderson!" Archie said as he and Audrey were invited into their home. It was definitely far from what he had in mind. He was fed with stereotypes especially when he would see his parents working with their theater group to come up with props and costumes for plays, and they always depicted farmers as poor and really rural. He was glad he thought wrong.

He was too busy admiring the interior that when Audrey looked at him, he thought she was doing the same. He did pick up on how worried Frida looked when mentioning troubles for the farm, but she then offered to take a look at their Pokémon.

"And this is my partner, Bravos!" The green-haired lad introduced his Chespin after Audrey's turn. [B]"Che-e-e..." Bravos groaned like a broken record, its body jolting from the paralysis. "We were training when a Yamper managed to paralyze Bravos. He's been like this since the past few minutes, me thinks." He added, patting his poor Pokémon's head.

"Oh, did you mention you were having farm troubles, Mrs. Anderson? How can we help ya?"" He asked enthusiastically.

"Dara darada~ Dara dadada~ ♫" Lorelei was bobbing her head to the tune playing in her headphones. Her playlist was full of songs from her favorite anime, especially the sweet and upbeat ones that can make a grown man make a cutesy pose and make peace signs with his fingers. Her hero outfit was just as subjectively, and visually, loud and colorful like her music taste. It was like she splashed all the pastel shades of the rainbow on her outfit; it was impossible not to look at her. A couple of girls would snicker while pointing at her, probably telling each other how gaudy and ugly Lorie's get-up was, but it was clear that what others thought of her was none of Lorie's concern at all.

She twirled her staff expertly as she spun, hopped, and lightly danced around while going down the sidewalks of Paragon City. People weren't sure if she was a street performer, a cosplayer, a heroine, or possibly all of the above. "Da ra dadada, darada~ ♫" She posed and made a finger heart at a younger girl staring at her, and the girl brightened and did a finger heart right back at Lorie too. She put her star goggles up and looked at the girl with an impressed smile. "Nice outfit, sis. Love what you did with your hair." Lorie complimented the girl as she put her goggles back on and skipped away, much to the delight of the little girl and her mom.

It took Lorie half an hour of travelling to get to Atlas Park from her folk's place. She left home while her parents were doing their usual morning routine which contained enough cardio to potentially outrun a horde of zombies for months. She's been enjoying her music since her train ride and walking to the town hall using her device that contained over thousands of minutes' worth of songs. As she got closer though, she regrettably had to shut her music off just so she could talk with whoever's there already.

As she walked, she reflected on all the choices in her life that lead her to this moment. Would her parents be disappointed when they learned she walked back? Even if they did accept her decision, could she forgive herself from backing down from an opportunity that others would die to have? She could go back to the safety and comfort of her own room, away from people judging and mocking her. Even when she was busy enjoying her tunes, she could still feel their judgmental stares of the people she walked passed by. They'll be more critical of Lorelei now that she's a hero; they'll criticize every action and decision she will make and didn't make. She should've thought of the responsibilities and the repercussions of her heroism before taking part in the Exam, but she's already here anyway.

Lorelei took a deep breath and exhaled softly. Whenever she felt panic clouding her mind, her family and the communities she became a part of were the ones who give her strength. They were there for her when no one else did. They loved her for her true unapologetic self. The world was a better place with them in it and by becoming a hero, she could do whatever it took to protect them and others from harm.

"Magica Lady Melina, give me strength..." Lorie said, remembering the gentle smile and heroic-ness of her anime idol. "Okay then, let's get done with this." With a more hardened resolve, she took the turn and walked towards the town hall where she could already see a group of people her age donning their own superhero costumes. Lorie took her goggles down and nodded at them in acknowledgment as she approached them. "You guys passed the Exam too? That's cool. Name's Starshine." She said while leaning against her staff, her bright and colorful costume contrasting her passive facial expression and voice.

Archibald looked behind him when he heard some commotion going on and was surprised about what he saw. "Wowza! Congrats on the new team member, Audrey! That Yamper looks so cute and cool!" He excitedly said, looking at the Electric-type Pokémon with a wide, enthusiastic grin. "Hey, Bravos! Say hi to Audrey's new Pokémon!"

"Cheeeees..." Bravos meekly said, its body still jolting sometimes from its status condition. "Oh, uh... Right, I forgot about that part. Sorry friendo..." Archie bashfully patted his partner Pokémon's head.

He then turned to Audrey and to the man before them. "Audrey, please meet Mister... Sir. Mister Sir, please meet Audrey! We're going on an adventure to explore Evig and meet new kinds of Pokémon! We're gonna go and achieve our dreams too. Mine's being a hero just like Ma'am Adriane!" He excitedly and kinda loudly exclaimed, startling some of the Torchic. "Oops! Sorry!"

Archie then added. "Please help us, good sir! It would really mean a lot! We can also help out too!"

"Woah..." Archie looked in awe at the different kinds of farm Pokémon just milling around while he kept walking through a farm. Throughout the day, he just kept getting amazed again and again about how vastly different this place was compared to his homecity. With the fresh air and the lush vegetation, he actually felt like he had lungs for the first time in his 10-year-old life.

"Che-Che-Che..." His Chespin meekly cried out with tears in its eyes, its body twitching. He could hear and feel Bravos' body jolting from its Paralysis status condition as he carried it on his back, and it snapped him back to the reality of their situation. "Oh right, right! Sorry about that, Bravos. Gotta move fast!" He hoisted his Pokémon to adjust his Chespin's position and picked up the pace with his walking, passing by a few Torchics pecking on the ground before he saw a man which he quickly approached.

"Uh, hello there mister! Are you the- Woah!" Archie was taken aback by how big the man was once he stood up properly. From the stories he was being read to as a kid and the movies he watched, farmers were usually portrayed to have lanky builds and happy, positive vibes. Not only did the guy in front of him looked scary, but his voice could make a Ghastly flee too.

Archie gulped then laughed meekly and nervously, his Chespin now shaking on his back from fear instead of from being Paralyzed. "W-We just want... I mean.. Well... The thing is m-my Chespin got paralyzed by a Yamper while we were training and I thought maybe we can ask for a farmer's help since there's no Pokémon Centers nearby. Pretty please help my partner and I promise I'll repay you! I can maybe help out in your farm, feed the Mareep! Um, pretty please again?" He pleaded, his eyes glittering with hope as the meek Bravos cried out in fear.
