Drake looked over to the vampire who got his attention. Hearing Mithias warn drake of his magic, Drake would use less magic for the fire now as it shrunk significantly, no longer being a bright silhouette. The flames now leaked from his armor and lingered a bit on various sections such as the left shoulder and right hip. Embers were falling from Drake's cape and fingers though no sign of any damage to himself or the armor were present, suggesting that the ash as well was made by magic as a sort of after effect. His knight-styled helmet's face guard hid his face completely, as the gaps in it to allow Drake to see were blackened with a lack of lighting preventing most to see his face. "Apologies its rather cold." He said, his voice shivering.

After feeling the touch of the vampire the fire would die down more so that only embers fell from Drake's figure. "I only take what I own." He said flatly, lowering his axe to the melting snow. "So whats the plan?"
Lord Krunk's Quarters.

Burn the giant

After watching one of my allies challenge him, my dragon head would shoot a large projectile of fire, exploding upon contact as it launched towards the behemoth that is lord krunk, as I had no interest in delaying a fight for such a monster.

No worries, understood!

Or he becomes the next monster of a Steven king novel, creepypasta, or camping story from said hill billies.
Already through the portal to the front lines, Drake's thirst for adventure was soon vanquished by the harsh conditions of the snow around him. If he wasn't so prideful about his own equipment perhaps he would have grabbed more winter gear back at the office, but it was too late now. In the middle of a blizzard, Drake's body would begin to smoke and steam up rapidly, trickles of embers falling from his armor's cape and caps in the metal. The harsh wind and snow made it difficult for his fire to grow, and as such he had to expend even more magic to keep it from burning out as he casted the flames off of his body. Within minutes he was a walking inferno, flames burning off of his form and swirling a bit around him, being carried briefly by the wind and most of his form would appear as a silhouette surrounded by bright fire. The snow around him would rapidly sublimate around him, the heat too intense for the snow to simply turn to water. Despite being shrouded in flames Drake was still cold, and had already expended much energy to keep his fire up. With his axe in hand he tried to get a better look at his surroundings and look for his teammates.
Lizard squad, roll out!
While normally this would be exciting, Drake despised the cold. Whether it be the cold blooded nature of his beastly transformations, grown affinity to fire, or having to endure the winters of the north east cost, it was something he wished to avoid. A reason he almost didnt go to Maine for this job. He had to fight a mage using Ice? Certainly not something he wished to do, and was tempted to speak up in switching teams. However he decided that it would hurt any reputation he tried to build, and opting out of combat might have made him look like a wuss. Besides, perhaps enduring such a situation could help improve his skills drastically. Looking at his team starting to take equipment, he decided that he needed to go grab his things.

Instead of going to retrieve items from the office and borrow such tools, Drake only wanted the equipment he left at his home. As such, he would quickly get up and rush out the door, it took him several minutes of hauling ass to his apartment to get his armor, a bunch of bed sheets he had lying around, and the axe he left in the woods. He wrapped both the armor and axe in the sheets to conceal them completely, and sprinted back to the office building. Overall he would have been absent for about 10 minutes. Returning to the lobby, he took off the sheets to reveal his belongings, suited up in his armor and readied his massive weapon.
I was thinking of how awesome a video game of this would be. The first game would be like an open 2d platform RPG hybrid with a bunch of bosses and the children as the big bosses. The playable character was some reincarnation of the pits magic into a mortal body, essentially a vessel for imprisoning gods and growing stronger with each child consumed. Their are a variety of endings based on who the character kills, including alternate endings for when the char dies (also technically being a start from the beginning, hardcore game, so one life only.) Each god increases in stars and gets new powered /abilities/ and/or forms and stuff the less children there are, as well as different dialogues and there would be like at least 32 different endings based on the combinations of gods killed, gods spared, and death or survival of player character.
Or drake comes in and woos the ladies with his hot fire and sexy lizardman tongue
