Current Euh. It's been a hot minute. Things are rather different for me now, and I don't know how that translates to my presence here.

I don't *think* I'm a bad person. I might be wrong there. I try not to be, even when I screw it up for want of social awareness.

Hello, I am me from the internet. I migrated here from Kongregate's Forum Games Forum, so feel free to look for me there if you wish to follow a career in internet stalking people. (ಠ_ಠ) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

A link to some of my past characters, which I need because static tabs do not take up internet.

Infamous Quotes From People Who Exist

“I really don’t follow how your faith believes its perfectly acceptable to doom 4,000 years plus of sentient beings, on a pre-set path of no escape from sin, just so their descendants can be offered the ‘chance of salvation’ when the god murders its own son.”
~vikaTae

“Don’t be an ass or a pussy, ’lest you get screwed by life. Being a mouth or a hand is somewhat safer, and an eye socket is pretty much sacred in this regard, so always keep a look out.”

I've been eyeing this for a while, because it looks really really good, and I've had an idea for a couple of characters that I don't want to go to waste. I might make the characters myself, if I can find appropriate representations for them and the time to play this alongside the other RPs I'm in at the moment, but if I can't, I at least want them to be available for others to potentially pick up. Long story short, imagine if the human members of Pokemon's Team Rocket were turned into Hierarchy angels, the former with holy flamethrowers and a lantern shield, the latter with a machine gun and/or gatling cannon whose fire rate increases the longer it's fired for, and both probably a bit more threatening than the characters they're expied from. Those sorts of characters, yeah. That said, if anybody likes the idea of them, feel free to comment on the idea, or snatch them up and use them as their own; I'd recommend Yiskah and Ya'aqov for names, given that those are the Hebrew origins of Jessica and (via Latin Iacobos, or Jacob) James. Alternatively, if I do eventually find the time to play this, I'll come back to them and see if they're still available.
@Roosan Right, though? So little activity. That being said, Mortarion and I are working on a collab post, so we'll be putting that up at some point in the near future.
@Lord Coake Oh, man. I'm sorry to hear that, and I hope your grandfather recovers from whatever's happened.
@Lord Coake Like I said, it makes sense if you think about it. If nothing else, he's probably got some heavy addiction to alcohol that helps with that. Or it's just various chems dulling his senses, whatever works.
Oh shit, another WH40K RP by @Jbcool. I'ma have to get in on this one, I think. I might sign up as a Navigator, since those are necessary for the ship to get anywhere intact... actually, since it's relevant, it might be an idea to lay out in the OP what roles are necessary for the secure running of an Imperial Voidship, just so everybody knows what gaps need to be filled by PCs.
@Jbcool I think the ones we want to bring into the fold ASAP are @Noxious and @Bright_Ops, since their character interactions have so far been limited to each other despite recently entering the VIP section of the GBoIA. Noxious, of course, has had losses to deal with, and my condolences go out to her until such time as she can return to prominence; by contrast, I have no idea what Bright_Ops is doing, though according to posts in other threads, he's apparently been having computer issues lately, so that would also explain his relative absence somewhat.

On a completely unrelated note, this completely passed over my head until now, but if you read back the collab post between me and @Lord Coake, you'll notice that Sanath actually chugs down 100-proof-plus alcohol without apparent discomfort. This is not only kind of badass for a guy like him, but kind of makes sense if you think about it. Intentional or no, friend Coake?

"I'll have you know, my name has nothing to do with that character," Vlad tried to say, only to cut himself off halfway through as Bonny's weapon turned to face him. He promptly remained silent as she gave her name and explained her weapon's functionality, frowning when referred to as "bosun", then smirking at her chainshot-based mishaps. "Sounds like a lot of work to maintain," he offered, moving around her to get out of her line of fire should her weapon go off accidentally. "But, first of all, I'll have you know that I'm at least captain material, if not greater than that. Admiral material, maybe, whatever naval rank is highest. And secondly, trigger discipline. You don't point your weapons at anything you don't want dead. I mean, I didn't expect much from your sort, but a brain regarding this sort of thing would at least be appreciated!" The annoyance in his voice was evident, and he almost seemed to have not noticed the subtly offensive use of "your sort" in his language, like it was an afterthought to the greater issue in his mind.

"Still, a weapon like Revenge has a lot of bulk to it," he continued irregardless. "It's heavy, so it's probably rather difficult to aim effectively, given momentum and all, and the only obvious melee option is to swing it at whatever gets near you; same problem, shorter range. Personally, I much prefer Maw and Breath." At this, he drew his weapons, making sure to keep his finger off of the pistol's trigger and facing away from himself and Bonny as if to make a point. "One's a claymore, one's a pistol. They're both big enough to pack a punch, but neither's so large that it obstructs movement the way that thing you wield does. And, they do this," he stated bluntly, demonstrating their shared capacity to fold out simultaneously, revealing the multi-dimensional beartrap present on each, then closing both after a second or two of display and returning them to their sheaths. "To trap foes and keep them close. Breath's can also be fired like a grapple to pull opponents in; I'm sure you saw that in action, though.

"So, any questions?" At some point, he realised with a blink, his tone had lapsed into smug superiority, as though his weapons were his pride and joy. To be fair, they held some value to him, but if worst came to worst, he could always buy new ones to similar or better specifications. Even so, he was curious to see how his new partner would react to his multi-topic spiel.

'I gave him ample warning. It just so happens that your late manservant is incapable of following orders from any master.'

This is all Lucius says to Atella, their complaints and apparent sadness about the hunchback's murder falling on a mind deafened to pity and regret. Not a moment later, the androgyne's attention has passed to her next target, the most likely member of the group to become her newest thrall: the addict. The predictability could make lesser men roll their eyes; in Lucius' mind, those of weak wills were the most likely to fall to Nurgle or Slaanesh, the former for how easy it was to stagnate and despair in an empire already used to both, and the latter simply because it provided more of what many were used to... albeit to ever-heightening degrees of depravity. Judging by Sanath's own addictions, and the veiled character's excess of attentions toward him, it is simple logic to establish that they are a worshipper of Slaanesh after all. Unless, the thought occurs, they are dedicated enough to passing on Nurgle's so-called blessings that acting like a follower of another of the Four without passing into their worship is utterly simplistic, but he doubts the androgyne is quite that deep.

They are, however, tricky, as their barely-audible mutterings into the addict's ear can attest. A manipulator if he's ever seen one. The Fallen Angel understands that human psychology is exceptionally complex, and that no number of categories could ever wholly contain it; however, he has found that three particular categories have done quite well so far, and briefly recalls the basic traits of each: followers, those who do the bidding of their masters; leaders, those who exert their will upon others; and manipulators, those who attempt to twist leaders into doing what they want, rather than what the leaders truly want. Following is easy, leading is much harder, and manipulation is harder still, especially when pitted against a smart leader; whilst overlap and transfer between categories is more than feasible, it is a universal truth that the majority are followers doing what others tell them, with comparatively few leaders and manipulators vying for the top-heavy amounts of power that come with ruling the masses.

This leads further into his hypothesis about Atella's allegiances: the very nature of Nurgle's worship is such that those capable of anything other than following are exceptionally rare in his ranks (though followers of all the Gods and of Chaos itself are of course commonplace), whereas leadership comes more naturally to the Khornate and Tzeentchian masses, and manipulation is a forte of both Slaanesh and Tzeentch. In this case, the evident manipulation and its style would set them firmly into Slaaneshi territory, which brings him to why he is somewhat displeased with their actions: a drugged-up, sex-addled, and most likely heavily tortured follower, whilst happier in the short term, is far less useful in the long term. He takes in the small number of Khornate minions now paying attention to him, considers their worth as followers, then discards it. They are less useful than he likes, for they lack the subtlety with which Lucius prefers to work. Sanath, by contrast, is promising, and having him stolen from under his nose is something he'd rather avoid; thus, it is with a death glare toward the practically-molested addict that he mouths the word "no", a hopefully-obvious indication to not give the person pressing themselves against him the book.

...he'd expected a more angry response from the Faunus who was now his partner. Apparently, she wasn't that upset about the whole situation, so long as he could fight. And oh, could Vlad fight. He grinned to himself at the thought, then nodded and began to walk in roughly the same direction as he had been before, trusting that whats-her-name would follow on. Speaking of which...

"I don't believe I ever got your name," he mentioned to Bonny as he began to move off. "Those tend to be important for the sake of reference, so I figure we should at least learn them from each other if we're stuck together for the next several years. If you want mine, it's Vladimir Plasimov-Drakka; Vlad for short."
@ReaptheMusic Now, my initial reaction to your post was "yeah, I figured I might have gone a bit hardcore on that front"... but then I remembered that all four of the initial RWBY trailers depict events that are considered to be canon within the setting, including the RWBY "Red" trailer. And you'll notice in that trailer that Ruby, who in my mind could be anywhere from a month to a year younger than when she first appears in Volume 1 if we assume that "Red" happens before "White", "Black", and "Yellow", slaughters upwards of thirty Beowolves with pretty much no trouble. Yes, they're Beowolves, the design changed.

With that in mind, consider that Vladimir is seventeen, two years older than Ruby as of V1E1 and moreso as of "Red", with a presumably corresponding increase in both the power of his aura and the amount of time he's had to train - and I note that while Ruby did probably start training from a younger age than Vlad, such that she'd probably had more training overall than him by V1E1, it has not been for her entire life, given that Qrow once had to save her and Yang from being killed by Grimm, so the difference probably isn't entirely insurmountable; she also would have spent two fewer years than usual (and hence Vlad) in an official training school, given that she was an exceptional case in terms of her age and when she joined Beacon, whilst Vlad clearly isn't. Add in that Vlad is more than accustomed to fighting sans Semblance use, since he only discovered it a year ago as of game start and has deliberately held off from using it since then, only bringing it in for an actual fight to put his adopted brother in a coma, and I figure that dealing with twenty (one) Beowolves shouldn't be that much of an issue for him.

Having made my point on that issue... yes, I apologise for the chaotic combat setup. To be fair, fighting large groups of enemies does tend to be a naturally chaotic endeavour. Would you like me to break that post up into more paragraphs, or is there another way of making it easier to read that you'd prefer me to utilise?
