Current Euh. It's been a hot minute. Things are rather different for me now, and I don't know how that translates to my presence here.

I don't *think* I'm a bad person. I might be wrong there. I try not to be, even when I screw it up for want of social awareness.

Hello, I am me from the internet. I migrated here from Kongregate's Forum Games Forum, so feel free to look for me there if you wish to follow a career in internet stalking people. (ಠ_ಠ) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

A link to some of my past characters, which I need because static tabs do not take up internet.

Infamous Quotes From People Who Exist

“I really don’t follow how your faith believes its perfectly acceptable to doom 4,000 years plus of sentient beings, on a pre-set path of no escape from sin, just so their descendants can be offered the ‘chance of salvation’ when the god murders its own son.”
~vikaTae

“Don’t be an ass or a pussy, ’lest you get screwed by life. Being a mouth or a hand is somewhat safer, and an eye socket is pretty much sacred in this regard, so always keep a look out.”

@POOHEAD189 A'ight, done. Two down, eighteen to go. And let's hope those cells weren't occupied, or at least were occupied with people with the sense to not scream when their captors' heads get asploded by a very large guy.
Stepping lightly just behind his captain to make his own glance round the corner, the Dark Skayleigh considered his options. As a part-elf, he was certainly capable of a reasonable degree of quietude. Not enough to sneak up on a pair of armed guards, even unawares, but enough to remain hidden around a corner at least when needed. He could, however, move shockingly fast on his comparatively long legs, as many a dwarf and goblin had discovered to their cost... and if he bumrushed the two bandits quickly enough, he imagined that perhaps he could slay them both in one fell swoop, before they made a ruckus and drew the other thieves in the fort to their location.

Leather armour was no match for Nuva Doer's maul. Precious little was. Silently, he drew the weapon from its leather holder and hefted it in his left hand, beginning to breath just an ounce more rapidly, more heavily, in preparation for the coming exertion... then, with little warning, he charged round the corner, raising the maul at an angle next to his head as he approached. The last words of the bandits were, respectively, "What the-?" and "Oh-!", before the weapon was swung round at them, powered by a burst of khala. Their skulls were obliterated entirely in that single strike, spraying much of the area to Nuva's left with a burst of assorted gibs and destroyed leather helms. Noise was made, and it certainly wasn't what one would call quiet if any patrolling guards happened to be within earshot- shattering bone and splattering blood rarely is- but nothing like the sound that a scream for help would have produced if allowed.

And it was only after this unprompted attack, when the two corpses had fallen and Nuva was breathing just that bit more heavily, that he realised he hadn't even considered making sure the cells weren't occupied with prisoners, who might themselves scream in fear of the seven-foot being that just murdered two guards in cold blood, one arm wielding a mace and the other a massive barbed spike, and now quite covered the arterial blood from the stumps of the bandit's heads. He wondered if he even could have, given the circumstances, but even so...

"Fuck. That was stupid," Nuva muttered to himself, slightly incognisant of his surroundings for a brief moment of adrenaline and red vision (mostly from the blood). As quickly as possible, he returned the maul to its sheath, removed his mask (and placed it on one shoulder momentarily), and wiped the blood out of his eyes before returning the disguise to his face, hoping that nobody had seen the purplish skin beneath it for the short moment it was off him.

Wait, so you're saying that Hidden Strike:
• Works like Download, basin off of the enemy's lower defenses
• Changes type to hit the strongest weakness, basically making it always do ATLEAST 2x damage since every Pokemon has a weakness if ignoring Abilities
• Gains STAB, no matter what
• Breaks through Protect, Substitute, and other moves similar
• Has 100% Accuracy and 90 Base Power.
• Benefits from Priority from Ninjutsu

Forgive me if I say thats pretty FREAKING BROKEN, especially with the base 125 Attacking stats. AG would be holding two Pokemon if such an attack existed.

1. Ninjutsu provides both the +1 Priority and the perma-STAB. Hidden Strike doesn't gain STAB "no matter what", and on most Pokemon would only gain STAB when its attacking type matched up with the user's type (though I could perhaps slightly alter it to clarify that that's also usually what it aims for within any given weakness check if possible); that's just how it interacts with an ability that changes the user's type to match the used move's type. And no, it doesn't ignore abilities that alter resistances or provide immunities.
2. The attack's stats and Protect breaking you described are basically cloned from Phantom Force, as noted in the move description itself: most two-turn moves such as Phantom Force have power and accuracy around that level, and Phantom Force does benefit from breaking through most moves intended to provide attack immunity, which I figured would be appropriate for an attack where the user basically sneak attacks the target to deal a bunch of damage.
3. Everything else, i.e. Defense/Spec. Defense checking, strongest weakness striking, and 125 Attack and Special Attack, is additional stuff that's not necessarily broken on a Mega Evolution Pokemon, or on the user-created moves that the GM specifically told us to make for stage 3 evolutions such as Megas, and again fits the theme of "ninja sneak attacks a weak point for massive damage".

That said, I'll be fair and admit I'm half-seeing how much Rex will allow with the player-made stuff. Apparently, quite a lot. After some deliberation, including input from another player, I've decided to rework Ninjutsu so that only Dark-Type moves get +1 priority; I've also altered Bombardier to only apply to Fire- and Bug-Type moves, though mechanically speaking, that doesn't actually change much for Mega Volcarona. Moreso for Pokemon who receive the ability via Skill Swap, but...
@Rex Alright, fair enough. And uh, that's in Jonny's sheet now.
@Jbcool@Sigurd Thank you both for your support. I'll see what I can do about a character shortly, then.
@Rex Uh, the changes were made in the Characters tab post only, since it was already in there. Just so you're aware. Anyway, here's a submission for my character's second partner.

tl;dr of Hidden Strike: It's a "two-turn" attack like Fly or Dig (more specifically Phantom Force, except Dark-Type) for the most part, but deals damage based on whether or not it'd be more beneficial to use Mega Greninja's Attack or Special Attack stat, as well as depending on the opponent's weakest type. And then Ninjutsu lets Mega Greninja benefit from STAB too. So.
I've slightly modified the sheet for Tex-Mex and Specs in the characters tab; the changes are mostly formatting to make it look cleaner, but I've also removed the whole "X/Y" split for Volcarona, which doesn't really make sense to me in retrospect, and slightly altered the stat gains for Mega Volcarona to reflect how Megas don't generally get extra HP when evolving, so if @Rex could reconfirm that everything is alright for that, I'd appreciate it. That said, since we will be allowed other partners in the future, I'll likely come up with a mini-sheet for a Greninja in the near future. Stay tuned.
Okay, so let's be blunt here: if anybody wants to try and find Nick to talk to him, I'd appreciate the interaction. Otherwise he's just going to be doing Ripple exercises for ages. Looking at you, @Keksalot and @Altasaire.
I kind of want to join this, but all I know about the Tolkien setting is what the LotR and Hobbit films have shown, plus some miscellaneous setting info - there's elves, dwarves, wizards who are actually lesser angels, orcs, uruk hai, and a whole bunch of races of men, including hobbits and some weird superhuman sub-race that Aragorn is actually part of. And, uh, I don't know how I'd even begin to figure out everything I'd need to figure out to start participating in this beyond reading through like the entire Silmarillion, so...
@Jbcool Honestly, I think at this point we've had so much time where stuff just hasn't happened that continuing would just prolong an inevitable death. Not to offend or anything, but that pattern's shown up in a lot of other games run by you in the past too, Jb; real life does take precedence over the internet, of course, so I'd say you should probably drop this if you can't guarantee that you can keep it going consistently in the future.
