Current Euh. It's been a hot minute. Things are rather different for me now, and I don't know how that translates to my presence here.

I don't *think* I'm a bad person. I might be wrong there. I try not to be, even when I screw it up for want of social awareness.

Hello, I am me from the internet. I migrated here from Kongregate's Forum Games Forum, so feel free to look for me there if you wish to follow a career in internet stalking people. (ಠ_ಠ) ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Infamous Quotes From People Who Exist

“I really don’t follow how your faith believes its perfectly acceptable to doom 4,000 years plus of sentient beings, on a pre-set path of no escape from sin, just so their descendants can be offered the ‘chance of salvation’ when the god murders its own son.”
~vikaTae

“Don’t be an ass or a pussy, ’lest you get screwed by life. Being a mouth or a hand is somewhat safer, and an eye socket is pretty much sacred in this regard, so always keep a look out.”

@ClocktowerEchos See, that's why it's in draft form, so that changes can be made. I was personally under the impression that bolt pistols didn't have quite as much recoil as is claimed, not least due to advances in recoil absorption tech since the 21st century, but apparently they are just as unwieldy as a .50 weapon of the modern age. I can make it a las or autopistol instead, at the cost of a lot of his firepower, though I rather wonder what differs between the sword and the knife aside from length. Is it not the case that people train in swordsmanship from a young age in order to get very good at it?
@ClocktowerEchos

This is still in draft form, as I have not yet been able to update it to fit with the relevant Inquisitor information.
@Fenris123 It has not, and I encourage you to take it.
@Necroes@Klomster To wit, it does bear mentioning that, at least regarding Imperial psykers, a talent exists called Rite of Sanctioning, representing exactly what it sounds like, that essentially grants the bearer the ability to pick one Psychic Phenomena to suffer from in place of whatever they initially rolled, as long as they didn't roll Perils of the Warp. Even then, manifesting a Peril is 75+ on a 1d100... which is a 1-in-4 chance of a Peril instead if you get the Phenomenon, admittedly, but having three out of four rolls on that chart automatically result in a comparatively harmless effect is better than nothing, and if you roll at Unfettered strength, you still only get a Phenomenon if you roll doubles, i.e. about 10% chance to get a Phenomenon.

That said, it ought to be the case that a xeno psyker of equivalent skill to a Sanctioned Psyker is more than capable of doing a similar thing, essentially apeing the Rite of Sanctioning feat in a sense. So, if Urgrugg does manifest a Psychic Phenomenon, it could well be something minor consistently, such as all noises echoing bizarrely for a few seconds, or a faint breeze blowing past everybody and briefly making them feel like doom is about to befall them. On the other hand, if he manifests a Peril, he rolls the same as everybody else, whatever might happen.

(Oh also Pushing a psychic power only grants +3 Psy rating, not double Psy rating. So you know, Klomster.)
@Jbcool I assumed he first moved on to the ramp, then to the piston on the other side of the landing ramp from Kliment and Alexa, and then charged into the smog in an effort to kill some fools. I may be wrong, but that's how I saw it.

EDIT: Nope, I'm almost certainly wrong. Just ignore what I said there.
@Ollumhammersong Sounds pretty good. Shame about how that affects Charne's sheet, but we can work on how he gets to your guy in PMs.
@Noxious In all fairness, Ratlings. Might be a new player comes along and has a Ratling native to the planet transferred into Alexis' squad or something, or they were there from the get-go. Who knows? Are there even Ratlings native to Texanis? Maybe there are, but we'd have to look it up.

Anyways, I did another post, at Jb's behest. Folks may or may not have realised by now, but Dale is kind of the straight man of the group, for the time being at least, as evidenced by his Commissar-ly behaviour.
Dale's slow, rather harsh glare over at Virgil ought to have been more than sufficient to shut the cowboy up before he finished his spiel. Apparently, he didn't notice until it was over. At all, rather. He would surely notice the Junior-Commissar slowly striding over to him and leaning into his face, however.

'Well, now, that sure is a lotta knowledge about turnin' traitor for a loyal Imperial citizen to have, Dimmadon'cha think, Virgil?' he asked, his voice low and dangerous, yet more than loud enough for the rest of the squad to hear. 'Now, I'm hopin' y'all weren't plannin' on tryin' ta exercise any a that knowledge on the field, because there's only gonna be two outcomes ta that sorta thinkin': either the blue space Commies-' That was the term, right? Despite several years on Texanis himself, he'd never encountered it for living in the high-class city of Dimmsdale. '-shootcha Dimmadead, 'cause they ain't gon' distinguish 'tween a guy surrenderin' an' a guy tryin' ta kill 'em back... or, I cap all four a yer limbs an' Dimmadrag you back by the bullet holes to get y'all court-marshalled like a son of a bitch. You understand me, Cowboy?'

Frankly, he didn't need to understand. He just needed to remain loyal and committed to fighting the foes placed before him, and if that meant ordering him to do so, or at worst turning him into an example to ensure the others did in his place, so be it. Still, he reminded himself of the reputation that Commissars who did that a lot tended to have, and promptly pulled away to a more normal position whether or not Virgil responded. 'In any case, it stands ta reason that knowin' all that ain't helpful fer fightin' the Tau,' he continued in a more congenial tone, his voice still raised for all the Cowboys and Cowgirls- and the Louise- to hear (whether or not they were listening), and he himself pacing a bit while he did so. Why not pass on some useful knowledge to the Troopers whilst they could still receive it? 'What y'all do want to know is how ta fight these suckers. An' I'll tell y'all right now: they are very, very good in ranged engagements.' By which he meant "their marker drones make them obnoxiously accurate, and most of their guns will cut through your armour and mine like butter", but it wasn't their job to know that until they hit the field proper.

'So, if y'all find yerselves in a situation where your superior officers ain't commandin' y'all to march fer the Emperor, y'all'd do best ta get inta close quarters engagements with the Tau. Obviously don't charge 'em from twenty meters away over flat ground - if y'all can sneak up from behind cover, get some frags inta their groups ta confuse the suckers, an' hit 'em while they're stunned, y'all'll be doin' just fine and Dimmadandy. Or at least get 'em pinned down with coverin' fire before chargin' 'em from twenty meters away over flat ground. I think Cowboy Cleet-Bob has that sorta thing covered fer us?' he asked, looking over at the rather dense man to gauge his reaction.
@Noxious Maybe where you come from. On Texanis, it's at least 6 feet for everybody. Besides, you need tall, strapping folk to do well in the military, and 5'5" ain't tall or strapping.
@Noxious Clearly, y'all ain't never been ta Texanis. Err'body there's six feet high, leastways. Lolly May's th'ception thurr.
