Jay starts digging in and pauses to chuckle at lavender."same thoughts here" he digs back in. Jewel lifts her head up and seems to study the food before shaking her head. She was well fed and doesn't eat much to begun with.
Jay consumes a lot of food then sits back and pats his stomach. "That was awesome...so you are thinking of trying for quidditch as well?" He beams at her now more excited to have found someone interested in the same things as him. Especially in the same house. Maybe he did find a very good friend in lavender but really only time will tell.

Animal Army

Lucifer gets frusterated and pauses. If he wanted to do this alone he would need stronger senses. This would require his wolf form...however his trigger seems to be anger. He pauses then sighs. He lets out a short frusterated woof and starts pacing. The new girl and isa seemed able to shift so easily and all he could do is have extreme senses and claws. He growls and stops pacing. He snaps his fingers and willingly forces himself into a memory. Bones start to audible break and crack as he forces himself to get angry... To change. Of course, he takes a bit longer then the others to change.
About half an hour give or take, lucifer stands in his large dire wolf form. He snorts and starts flexing everything as if checking to make sure he was fully shifted. Once satisfied he starts sniffing again. In his wolf form it is slightly easier for him to pick out fresher scents. Once he finds what he thinks is the freshest he woofs and starts following that.

I have some time open once I get back state side before classes start up and even then it's only two classes on the same day so basically I'll be on a lot to bother everyone :)

Jay can't help but notice the guy trailing behind everyone. With a smile he squeezes out of the main group and gets beside the lone guy. Of course, jewel pops her head up as she smells mouse. This causes jay the keep a hand on the snake around his neck. "Hello I am jay. I noticed you were a bit by yourself back here" the smile has faltered a bit as he reminds the snake that other people's pets are not for eating by lightly bopping her on her nose. The snake gives an offended look but settles back down. Crisis averted he focuses back on the boy he is talking to. (Bishop)
And that was cut off when he was sorted. Griffyndor. His smile was large as he joined the table next to lavender. "Hey again"

When jay is introduced to the new girl he gives a smile. "Pleasure to meet you" and then watches as they all start talking.
Jay listens about the Owls and the giant sea creature and tilts his head. He remains silent for now letting them talk about all the neat things they would encounter. He was a bit nervous about where he might be sorted. If anything he was discovering that he may favor gryffindor more then Slytherin. He shakes his head slightly to calm himself down.
Jewel pokes her head up from around his neck and flicks her tongue in and out as she watches them. She seems to be listening to the conversations as well. She then tilts her head up before putting her head back where it was.

Astley chuckles lowly and shrugs. "Nah I ran away from that line" he gives a small smile and raises he glass as a salute. "And forests are terribly inconvenient. My line had a different solution of claiming towns...it was quite...interesting" a look passes through his eyes as he remembers all the teenagers that had been tied down and bled. He shudders and returns to normal. "Anyway I don't often find myself in bars. So I must say I wouldn't know a humble one from a non humble one" he seems to study the glass in his hands for a moment. "Curiosity...what else do you do?" More like he realized he was rambling and decided to quit while he is ahead.
