Run away supernatural

In a new age with new inventions, people do not question where or how these inventions come about just if they work or not. The harsh reality reveals that scientists have discovered supernaturals exist and with a bit of 'experimentation' they can use what makes them special to create inventions. Supernaturals are now hiding, trying to blend in with society so as to live. Some however, the darker side of the supernatural, have gone to helping the scientists.
For some, the idea of hiding and not fighting scrapes at them. Why are they lesser then anyone else?

Alright so with this you can be a human, human scientist, or supernatural on one of the three sides.

Rules:
-nothing too over powered. Yes you can be powerful, but you must be able to be hurt
-No killing another's character without talking to the owner of said character
-No controlling another's character without asking
-we all make mistakes, so if something looks or sounds incorrect pointing it out politely is okay. If a decision cannot be reached, gm has final say.
-Do not leave anyone stuck. If you are going to vanish for a long period of time let us know.
-If you have not been heard from for a week the rp will continue without you

So where will you stand when those whom are not human are suffering?

Link found himself once again following the mermaids. He did want to help and he is curious. Both lead to him watching from a small distance. He blinked at the sight of the human. He almost rushed forward, almost, but what would he be able to do. He has no special abilities.

Instead, he stayed where he is and kept aware of his surroundings. He felt the odd urge to protect these three, he has no idea where it came from. He went with the urge and took the risk of swimming closer to Aryiah. He took a protective stance as she worked on changing the human.

Vladimir sighed at the two. He had no idea where the rest were, but these two definitly seemed the type to work on their own. Which meant the human is that mercenary. His visible eye locked onto the two in front of him. "I am Vladimir and I was transferred to this team by soldier....and I'm guessing the rest of the team is....either unable to help or somewhere else" He crossed arms and tilted his head.

This movement caused for the silver in his ear to flint and the sleeves on his grey shirt to tighten. "Now shall we go or shall we discuss more whom I am and not the one you are targeting?" His visible eye along with a slight eyebrow arch communicates his own impatience in standing here.
