Bio

But in a capital-S kinda way.

I invented necromancy and the windmill. I beat the sun in a poker match during the summer of 1273 and God hasn't felt the same since.

"This Knight Captain Cassidy of the Brotherhood of Steel. We are sending reinforcements to clear hostiles assaulting the town, do not fire. I repeat do not fire on the incoming vehicles they are friendly.”

”Shit.”

It had been two days now since the endless horde of raiders showed up in the town that Adder had conveniently been working in. Just the other day, she got paid by some Marshall guy to come in and fix a radio in the hotel everyone stayed in, the same radio she was listening to right now, a pretty nice one, too. When the raiders came, there was an order for everyone to go hide in the hotel, since Adder was already there, she was able to stay safe with her gun in hand, in case any of those fuck-shits came barging in. Then again, she was stuck in here with a large number of citizens all trying to keep calm, so waving a gun around probably wasn’t the best solution. The windows were blocked off with whatever they could find - boards, an upturned desk, that sort of thing. ”Any day now...” They had plenty of supplies in the hotel, but it didn’t change the fact that they were trapped. They were sitting ducks for raiders, thankfully Adder hasn’t had to shoot anybody yet, but she could see over the walls, off into the distance, that the raiders were working on getting closer, causing Adder to subconsciously grip her pistol a little tighter. Surely she can hold off a few stragglers, right? Waiting around like a doctors appointment, she along with at least 20 or more people were holed up in the lobby of the hotel, where someone would check in. There was no doubt a great deal of people still upstairs, probably trying to find guns or just outright hide from the raiders.

Alright. Fuck this.

The old ghoul holstered the gun and meandered back over to the radio, it was big and blocky, and just got repaired a day or two ago. An old Robco 2058 receiver and a ramshackle mic, the size of two pipboys stuck together, was her only connection to the outside world, so she pulled up a chair with several eyes on her from all the civilians inside to see if she could figure anything out. ”All channels. Hello? Brotherhood of Steel? My name is Adder, we are stuck inside the hotel, we can see the vehicles through the windows, some of the raiders are almost on their way here. I have a gun, but that’s about it. Repeat, they’re almost through. A blatantly ghoulish voice spoke through the microphone, broadcasting to every possible channel since she wasn’t entirely sure which one the so called Brotherhood was on.

”We have been stuck like this for at least two days now, we can’t hold them off more much- damn, hold-“ Adder very quickly, and very erratically, flung her pistol out of her holster as two shots rang out, which were answered by a dead raider’s body hitting the ground outside, after he charged at the one, uncovered window, resulting in a lack of an actual window. A few people in the building were startled by the shots, namely the younger ones, and hopefully not anyone on the line. The smell of gunpowder permeating the air. ”Okay...we’re fine.” She assured them, putting the now half-empty gun away and returning her attention to the radio ”If you’re gonna do anything more than shoot them, now would be a good time. I just had to open fire on one of the raiders you missed.“ Having said that, she took very visible notice of the big ass Brotherhoodmobiles she could see slowly rolling up behind a rocky Jeep outside the town, full of people, power armor, covered up cargo, and a bag of spears? Maybe she’d get to head home after all.

”I need a drink...”

Unfortunately, Adder didn’t have a drink on hand. Anymore.
Mizo’s clone didn’t actually react verbally to Ataru falling on his ass, it was funny, sure, and the real Mizo felt it in the dirt, but the clone simply crackled her knuckles and charged right at Ataru and his two Kunai, dodging the lightning attack that the clone didn’t even care to pay much attention to, she leapt towards Ataru’s shadow clone with a right hook aimed at its jaw, the real Mizo noted how both Atari and his clone were alarmingly close to the antlion trap.

Mizo was messing with the dirt underground, spacing out the ground to rig up a strategy that she presumed would work against some hopeless genin, nameless Kimiko, during the Chunin exams. The only problem is that this hole wouldn’t be as big as the one she’d need for such a thing to work, knowing this, she simply rigged up a few Kunai to be stuck in the walls of her space, between each kuna was string that would presumably tangle the target up, and for good measure, smoke bomb for somebody to fall an and flail to get away from, tangling themselves even more...imagine Kimiko getting smoked like that...it almost made her chuckle.

”Mhm...Looking forward to it.” Iris didn’t actually *know* anything about the wellspring, since no witchling ever gets in unless it’s for one reason in particular, but all she knew was that could think of was how the wellspring had to be really important. There’s no reason the coven would go through any amount of trouble it does to protect it if that weren’t the case. ”Been waiting for this day a while, actually.” knowing full well how important this ceremony would be, Iris didn’t exactly come dressed for the occasion. She was wearing a denim coat and sweatpants, not really the first thing that comes to mind when you’re preparing for a ceremony that binds you to an esoteric source of magic energy, the likes of which Iris couldn’t even imagine. She leaned back against the porch steps she was sitting on, the night grew dimmer and dimmer as the glow of Corvus’ heart stood out more and more in his chest. Come to think of it, imagine the kind of golems you could make with that magic...

She wouldn’t bore Dakota with the details, but she pulled out a black book with a pen stuck to it to write something about that down, she also made a note to clear that idea with the elders first, wouldn’t want to piss a magical authority figure off by taking sacred energy and putting it in a tin suit, would we? The book Iris was jotting something down in resembled a fancy sketchbook, and it was filled with things pertaining to golems. The reason for this handmade guide for golems was because Iris hadn’t ever heard of any other witches practicing any kind of magic like this. She asked some of the higher up witches before, but none of them could ever give her a straight it answer, it all lead to the saying it was either impossible or it was necromancy, which was morally impossible, but they weren’t entirely right. The front of Iris’ book has a painted on image of a stick figure with what looked like charms stuck to the front somehow. Curious looking glass lenses with magical items underneath them, three in total in a triangular fashion, all the size of an eye, to keep any nasty types of creatures from getting a hold of the knowledge on how to creature a magical construct. Iris hasn’t been told by anyone that this knowledge needs to be kept secret, but she knows better than most that being able to make an extra set of hands to help you with literally anything can be problematic when your supposed enemy is trying to take the wellspring’s power.

”Mm, the forest. Well, it’s a scary thing, folks don’t really go in expecting to come out.” The barmaid said, on her way back with a few beers for the travelers, yawning a little. ”Not much more to tell, really. If I were you, I’d keep out and move along.” The tone in her voice was different from earlier, like she was thinking about it more than she actually should...”Enjoy your drinks, there’s an inn across town you can stay in, we don’t have rooms...” Having said that, she sauntered a little ways over to behind the main counter, there was a door leading upstairs...She swung it open and called up the staircase.

”Tolan! I’m heading home, close up the place for me before you fall asleep up there, yeah?” an audible “mhm” noise was the only reply. The woman pulled a pin out of her hair upon closing the door, resulting in her bound up mop dropping past her shoulders. She made her way across the floor and out the front door to Yellowgrass. Meanwhile, a sound or two could be heard upstairs as someone was coming down them, lazily, to handle things. That was when a man emerged from the door, messy blonde hair that draped just past his ears, a cotton shirt with a low neck line, stubble all over his chin and mouth, and a tired look upon his face, it would almost be attractive, were it not for the fact that he looked tired.

”Bar’s closed, don’t stay too long.” He said while grabbing a few empty mugs off the counter to store away, oddly enough, he wasn’t at all put off by the large half orc or the monk, maybe it was too late in the evening to care. Either way, the only thing that really stood out to this one man skeleton crew of a person, apparently named Tolan was that occasionally his shirt sleeves would ride up, and a weird looking mark on his arm would show ever so slightly. It wouldn’t mean much to anyone.

”Let me guess, here for the forest.” Tolan said, a table or two away, cleaning up a spill.
