Plot

Upon the Great Continent there exists the Kingdom of Astoria and the smaller, neighboring Kingdom of Wolfkrone. Powerful individuals and fearsome creatures of old reside within the confines of this vast continent. So great is their might that they have been immortalized by the people of the kingdoms - they have become legends. Some are even worshiped as deities. You were once such a legend. Your power stood amongst, even beyond, Lords and Kings. You, alone, rival the greatest of armies. And as the hands of fate dictated: you led a life of violence and romance. You've slain your share of legends, conquered frontiers, and your accomplishments were forever etched into the history of the kingdoms. And, finally, at the end of your life, you, too, were slain. Such is the curse of the immortalized: "A peaceful death does not await the glorious ones..."

Now, at the advent of the new millennium, a blight spreads across the land. The citizens of the kingdoms call it the "Re-rising". The Holy Church calls it the "Blood Plague". Regardless of what one may call it, it refers to the resurrection of the dead. These "risen" are marked by a mysterious symbol visible upon their flesh. The Holy Church hypothesized the blight to be the work of forbidden Blood Magic, hence the Chruch's given name to the blight. Although the risen may appear and act as normal people, they seem to possess an uncontrollable and insatiable bloodlust. Because of this, numerous gruesome murders have occurred throughout the kingdoms, with numbers amassing by the thousands every month. The ruling families of each kingdom, under the guidance of the Holy Church, are dedicated to purging the continent of this threat but political relations are strained. Some even say that a war is coming.

You suddenly awaken from a long dream in which you walked aimlessly through a never ending field of white roses. You faintly remember a mysterious figure in your dream: a woman shrouded in white; blood-stained hands covering her face. But, more importantly, you recall that you have died some time ago - slain by another legend. You now also possess a mysterious marking somewhere on your body. It is unlike the marking of the normal risen but, rather, it is unique to you; not that you know of any of that anyways. And within your mind, there exists a beckoning desire to kill...

@Argetlam350 Never personally had the chance to play the games but I like the dark fantasy theme so I'm trying to add that here. However, any similarities aren't intentional.
@Pyromania99 Actually, your character only has somewhat better control of the innate bloodlust but they'll still be forced to satiate it. Of course, who or what you kill to satisfy the recurring urges is dependent on you.

So in this RP, you will play the role of a legendary figure who had been previously slain but is now suddenly brought back from the dead by the mysterious blight that is plaguing the Great Continent. Also, the body you've been revived in does not necessarily have to be the body you died with (this will be dependent on you). The blight beckons you to kill but, unlike the normal risen, you seem to have somewhat better control over these urges. What you do from then on is for you to decide but the main story will follow the blight. You are allowed creative input in various aspects of this RP including both world and lore building.

Name: Noah Waker

Age: 9

Gender: Male

Guardian: (@Phobos) Viole

Family: Wraith

Appearance - Human:

Appearance - Invoked: In his Invoked form, Noah's torso and arms, regardless of clothing, becomes translucent and his rib cage, arm, and hand bones are visible; appearing in a flawless white color. Furthermore, two small, fleshy horns protrude from either side of his forehead. In both his human and Invoked appearances, Noah, at times, will wear a white rabbit mask. The reason as to why he wears the mask is unclear.

Appearance - Shifted: Currently, Noah employs four Shifted transformations. However, only his Wraith form appears in reality; the other three forms only appear in the illusion world created by his Wraith form.

Abilities: Noah's most prevalent ability is the power to create skeletal objects as well as living beings from shadows. Arising from a shadow, they initially appear pitch black before turning bone white. He often uses this ability to create "bone children." They appear as tiny skeletal humanoids each carrying white animal masks that, once placed onto a person's face, will allow Noah to take control of them; those who have a particular strong willpower can resist Noah's control and shatter a mask placed upon them. In his Wraith form, Noah seemingly possesses power over time but, in actuality, it's only an illusion that his skeletal tree casts. Furthermore, the tree can also cast an illusion world of Noah's design. Although it's quite difficult to break the illusion, it's not impossible.

Personality: Noah is a quiet individual and a bit of an enigma. Because of this, he is oftentimes mistaken to have a cold demeanor. He possesses an unwavering level of composure in nearly any situation and rarely acts on impulse. Noah is strikingly intelligent, way beyond the expectations a person would have for someone his age, and, despite his age, Noah usually behaves in a mature manner. Although, there are times in which a child-like curiosity will overtake him. It may not be obvious but, to those he care about, Noah treats with kindness and is always concerned for their well-being.

Biography: Noah Waker had the fortune to be born to a rather wealthy family of merchants. As a child even younger than he is now, Noah led a happy and fulfilling life. But such domestic bliss didn't last long. Noah had his first encounter with death at only the age of six when his mother died in a public incident. At such a tender age, he was forced to embrace the concept of life and death. While Noah struggled with comprehending such a tragic event, his father reacted much more drastically. He sunk himself into alcohol and completely neglected his son. Noah's care was left to the housekeepers at his father's estate. Two years later, as he gradually recovered from the loss of his wife, Noah's father decided to head overseas for work and, more importantly, to escape the place where his wife was taken from him. Now, Noah had "lost" both of his parents. Flash forward a year later to the present day, Noah leads a somber lifestyle, unaware of the events to come.
Phobos, what do you mean by start them off as a pair?
Just here to note my interest and say that I'd be willing to apply for Phobos' Wraith Servant if there are no objections.
Shiki wandered aimlessly around, trying to figure out just where he was supposed to go. Saya was nowhere to be seen and neither was Brenard. Although Shiki preferred not to be in the company of a human, he was the only other person Shiki could rely on for assistance right now. Suddenly, he bumped into a lanky mustachioed man dressed in modified Wallguard uniform. The man also carried a bow. "Are you daft, lad?" the man asked, hunching over the much shorter Shiki. Shiki didn't exactly know how to respond and just gulped nervously. Seeing that, the man sighed. "You have a bow I see. Well then, we've not another second to waste. The Wall awaits us." the man said before gesturing Shiki to follow him. The two of them quickly ascended the stairs to get to the top of the Wall where the other members of the Archer Squadron are preparing for the upcoming invasion. Meanwhile, Shiki is still fixated on what that green-haired girl said before about encountering a dragon. He has to tell Saya about this later on. In any case, as they arrived at the post, the Wallguards turned and saluted the mustachioed gentleman. "Captain Kain, preparations are just about complete." one Wallguard reported. "Very good. Let's have a good showing, shall we?" Kain said before turning to face Shiki. "Lad!" he called out, surprising Shiki. "W-What is it?" Shiki quickly responded. "Well don't just stand there drooling. Get over here." Kain directed Shiki to the edge of the Wall. "Make sure you don't mistakenly hit any soldiers out there, understand?" With that comment, Kain left to inspect further down the Wall. "Don't look so nervous, recruit. Just keep your sights clear and your aim true." a Wallguard standing next to Shiki advised. At the central gate, Gungneer arrived accompanied by two other individuals. The first is a young man dressed in full armor attire who has a mace on one side of his waist and a blunderbuss on the other. This young man is Lieutenant Gil Flamme: a prominent Wallguard officer of the Assault Troops. Then there is the legendary Commander - a rank above Captain - of the Assault Troops and the superior to Gungneer, Commander Seth Einzhart. He is a gallant man who wields a mighty sabre into battle. Despite being a man of few words, Commander Einzhart's presence alone is enough to rally the thousands of Wallguards present here today. However, it's unusual to see him on the battlefield as his duties lie more to the king - a fact despised by Gungneer. Einzhart looked over all the Wallguards and recruits at the central gate and smiled. "Look at them all. So adamant in their resolve to protect Atland. Oh how I miss being here in the thick of it all." Einzhart fondly reminisced. "Too busy being an errand boy for the royal family, huh?" Gungneer remarked. Einzhart chuckled in response. "My duties extend beyond the Wall - beyond Atland. I am an 'errand boy' for humanity if you are to be correct." The Commander turned away to face the city within. "See to it that no goblin steps foot onto Atland soil, would you Gungneer?" Einzhart subtly commanded. Without waiting for a response, Einzhart left towards the city. Gungneer and Gil approached the front of the central gate where Dorian stood waiting. Gungneer was both surprised and pleasantly delighted to see Alere in the crowd. "Now that's a Wallguard who knows his duty," Gungneer must've thought. Gil turned to Dorian before looking over his shoulder to see some mages out of place. "Can't say I envy your position." he simply said, referring to how Dorian is stuck with looking after recruits. He then turned around to face the gate with his arms crossed, standing there silently. Finally, the time came. The massive central gates opened and out came hundreds of Wallguards and recruits from the Assault Troops and Magic Brigade. At the forefront of the entire assembly stood Dorian, Gungneer, and Gil. Alere and Raum stood alongside the Assault Troops. Saya was in the back with the Magic Brigade. Finally, atop of the Wall stood Shiki. He could see the entire forest expanse and beyond from where he stood. Looking down, he could see his sister in the crowd and another sight caught his eye. Shuffled into the Assault Troops was the green-haired girl from before - the one who encountered a dragon. "Could she have really..." Shiki let his thoughts trailed off. "Wallguards! Here comes the first wave!" Gungneer shouted, an excited and proud grin formed on his face as he swung his massive battle axe to the side. Just as Gungneer said that, a huge swarm of goblins burst through the forest clearing all yelling wildly as they storm the Humemark Valley towards what they foresee as glory. Most were on foot but some rode giant boars that dwarfed most horses and even rival some wyverns in terms of sheer size. They all carried crude equipment but don't let that fool anyone, they are formidable fighters. Just exiting the forest clearing are catapults, dragged by giant boars, designed to launch huge boulders and nets to catch wyvern riders. "CHARGE!" Gungneer gave the order to the Assault Troops as he proceeded to charge with them.
Alright, no problem, Shinigami.
