This part of his life was suffocating, but through music he was able to express his anxieties and frustrations. Seojun lived a rather happy life, he made four life long friends early on and spearheaded the group into all kinds of adventures and troubles. It wasn't until middle school that things started to change for the happy kid. Seojun had developed a crush on one of his classmates and "sorta" friends, she was a cute girl that was always nice to him and would always talk to him about her love for singing. Being the son of not only a popular ex-idol and the chairman of a huge entertainment company he put in a good word and snapped his fingers and soon was making the girl's dreams come true. They spent a lot of time in her two years of training, and he promised himself that he'd confess his feelings for her after the survival show she was on met its finale. Except that day never came, the idol culture of Korea can be an ugly thing sometimes, it takes little to upset fans and something set off the fans that were once supporting the idol group set to debut with his first love on it. Shocking news hit media outlets and fan cafes, and social media were filled with posts ridiculing the girl and shaming her, this led to a crumbling of both their worlds. A hospital room is where Seojun confessed his feelings while profusely apologizing to the girl, and in that hospital room with the cherry blossoms blowing past the window he felt his first and last heartbreak. For awhile Seojun was unlike his normal self, but like they all say time heals all wounds. For him they healed up imperfectly, for he's not only turned his back on love but on his passions as well.       |

The town is full of family owned shops, and a handful of multi-national corporations (sbux, McD, KFC, etc.). The characters do not need to live in or be from Yeo-San, they can commute from Seoul, Incheon or Busan (if they want that long train ride). Milae University does not offer traditional dorms, the University has communal style apartments for students to apply to.

The remaining four characters, The Threads, have ranging amounts of history with W4, as a group or as individuals, and come from diverse walks of life. Through fate, all of the characters have all found themselves sharing the same floor of the expensive apartment-style dorms on campus, and for some, this might just be the worst thing in their life that has happened to them.
