"Chespin, the Spiky Nut Pokemon. The quills on its head are usually soft. When it flexes them, the points become so hard and sharp that they can pierce rock. Such a thick shell of wood covers its head and back that even a direct hit from a truck wouldn't faze it."

"Fenniken,the Fox Pokemon. Eating a twig fills it with energy, and its roomy ears give vent to air hotter than 390 degrees Fahrenheit. As it walks, it munches on a twig in place of a snack. It intimidates opponents by puffing hot air out of its ears."

Sycamore said that he had brought with him the Pokemon that new trainers in Kalos have.
"Why, I came to watch you two in the finals. I also brought an associate of mine." Oak stepped aside and a tall man with black hair stood there. "Boys, this is Professor Augustine Sycamore from the Kalos region." Oak introduced. Sycamore greeted the heroes and said that he had heard a great deal about them from Oak, and he wanted to see how good they were.
Benny was fuming at the defeat. The next batle was between Virgil and Liam's father, Thomas. The battle consisted of four Pokemon each. Thomas used Alakazam first. Virgil sent Umbreon out in reply. The long drawn out battle proved to be a stalemate. Alakazam was replaced by Breloom and Umbreon's spot went to Flareon. Breloom was Burned by Flareon, and Flareon won with Flare Blitz, however Effect Spore triggered and put it to sleep. Feralagatr came out next and finished Flareon. Jolteon battled Feralagatr. This also ended in a draw. The final battle was Leafeon vs Sandslash. In a close battle, Virgil pulled the victory. When counting his prelim battles, Virgil had used every member of the Eevee family except Sylveon.

Bio: Shiranui had developed a fascination with fox-like Pokémon from watching the Kimono Sisters performing during his childhood. His favourite Pokémon are Espeon, Umbreon, Delphox, Zoroark and Ninetales. He is generally kind, but has a low tolerance to those who speak ill of his likes. He had been inspired to go on a Pokémon journey ever since he spotted Ho-oh taking off from the Bell Tower at age 8, later catching it during his journey through Johto along with two of the three Legendary Beasts.
Having never left the regions of the Far East, Shiranui is excited for seeing the culture of a faraway land whilst also steeling himself for the culture shock he may inevitably feel. As part of his ninja training, his father had told him to expect the unexpected.

Bio: Ryan was raised by a man whom many know as the Name Rater. Ironically enough not many people ever remembered his name. For seven years of his life he was simply known as, 'that boy' or 'the one who runs errands for the Name Rater'. There were never many children in the town and the few that were there quickly left to go become 'the very best' with their pokemon. He instead talked to the Pokemon that he was told to name. When he turned seven he ran away from home in an attempt to find recognition. For 6 months he lived on the various routes and roads seeking a friend. He eventually met Professor Sycamore. Professor Sycamore took pity on him and took Ryan to live with him in Lumiose City. After 8 years Ryan is still a fairly quiet boy but he has developed a deep bond with Pokemon after living around them half of his life.

Now, on his 12th birthday, he made his way for Lumiose city, to get his best birthday present ever: His first pokemon.

Rules:
* no Arceus moding
* Your starter has to be appropriate to the region. i.e. You can only take Chikorita in Johto ,etc. In Kalos, There is also the Kanto starters as options, just like in X and Y.
*Professors will Never give you a hidden ability starter
* If they are a returning character, they are now one year older.
*Non-lengenday Pokemon that there are one of: such as the Red Gyarados are divided up in the same manner as legends.
* It is implied that you have an adequate supply of poke balls, potions, etc, but Master Balls are still rare. You typically will only receive them from where you get them in the games appropriate to the region.
* no controlling another player's trainer, or their Pokemon.
* Pokemon have to be found in a logical local: i.e. Gyarados will not be in a volcano
* Unova Pokemon are found only in Unova and Kalos, Kalos Pokemon are only in Kalos,
* The Players hometown may be from any game or a named Island of the Orange Islands where there was a human population (or if the location had a human population in the anime, like the Seafoam Islands did.)
* As for legendaries: Until we go to their region they can not be claimed. You must request them, who catches which legends will be determined via lottery.
* Arceus CAN NOT be captured
* Shinys are allowed, but please do not go hog wild on it, still make it a rare find.
* You can give as much or as little detail on your trainer's family as you want.
* When your pokedex is reading off info on a pokemon, please italicize it. Also of note: Since Oak and the other Prof's have no knowledge of Mewtwo, neither will any pokedex. (There also is only one Mewtwo, which has been captured.)

When Liam was a baby, he had a babysitter, a Chansey named Florence. (She has evolved since Liam left on his journey.) A slip on a wet floor in the Pewter City Museum revealed that his hair is only dyed black. It was revealed in Blackthorn City, that he is the son of a Nurse Joy. He was as a random trainer called him when he was 5, "The shiny Pokemon of humans." Liam also explained that he uses a special dye, that has Bluk Berries as a key ingredient.

He still may not particularly like them, but he respects them as strong Pokemon Trainers
