Current Sorry for my lack of posts lately. I've just... been struggling to get the energy to write something up. I'm trying some new meds through so hopefully that will change soon.

Well, I think I speak for everyone when I say that the broader between the Chalezian Union and Tushienia would be tense as all hell. Maybe a slight rewrite of history though?

Before the mundane revolution that changed Chalez into the Chalezian Union, province 11 used to belong to Chalez. Once the revolutionary war was in full swing however, Tushienia seized the opportunity to expand its power and influence (While kicking those arrogant magical elven pricks in the face while doing so) by invading province 11 and conquering it for themselves, destroying both the magical ruling elite and the magic hating rebels alike to do so with a combination of magic, strength of arms, technology and a pretty large army of mindless undead.

If Chalezian Union ever made the attempt to reclaim province 11 before now (Most likely during the height of their mage hating days), that war would have ended in failure for the Union (Because we can't have more then 3 provinces to start with). Provided of course that the Chalezian Union made the attempt to reclaim its former territory.

What do you think?
@Aristo

Fair enough.

I guess one of the major things to decide what sort of terms we are with each other (And our other neighbors) is the culture of our nations, which is often shaped by history.

Tushienia was founded two hundred years ago when the necromatic liches Nuyor the Doctor and Rodrim Payne arrived on the shores of 10 with their combined army of human followers and conquered 11 and 12 shortly afterwards. They gave the various peoples in their lands three options:

1. Accept their rule and be accepted and treated as full citizens of the kingdom.
2. Leave their kingdom peacefully and they would not be harmed.
3. Fight them and be wiped out.

They honored all three of these options. Those that accepted the rule of the Liches and later the various councils made up of liches and shamans became citizens of the nation and were treated as such, those that didn't want to live under their rule were allowed to gather the supplies they needed to pack up and move in their own time and those that actively fraught against them got wiped out.

While some humans left Tushienia, most decided to stay alongside the goblins who also accepted Lich rule in return for equal representation via their shamans. The elven and gnomish populations were divided; some choose to stay and fight while others decided to pull up roots and leave. Those who stayed to fight were destroyed with shiftiness and efficiency.

@ClocktowerEchos

Good to have you with us, even if only briefly. Where were you planning to set up your nation by the way?

Name: Andrew Macdonald

Alias(s): Doctor Macdonald, Toymaker, Doctor

Age: 24

Gender: Male

Weapons: Several scalpels, A large wrench, Standard pistol, any 'Toys' that he has created and brought along with him.

Gear/Gadgets: Often depends on the situation and what he is trying to accomplish. He will always have a tool box full of interesting tools and a medical bag with him though.

Skills:
  • 'Insane' Inventions
  • 'Mad' Science
  • Charismatic

Powers/Abilities:
The Toymaker's creations seem to be largely linked to a strange kind of pseudoscience; As long as the thing he is trying to create sounds remotely possible it will work perfectly fine regardless of if the laws of physics and reality say otherwise. If the Toymaker was to throw together a flying car it would work like people imagine a flying car would work... provided that the person driving the car doesn't understand why it shouldn't.

Once the creation is removed from the Toymaker's presence, it continues to function normally until someone with an understanding of technology and reality gets their hands on it and inspect it properly... at which point it will most likely explode as logic and reality take over. Creations in the Toymaker's presence don't suffer from this fatal flaw; A possible super power maybe?

Personality: A megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur, Andrew (AKA: Toymaker) believes himself to be the savior of humanity via uniting it under his brilliant leadership and leading it towards a bright future of science and invention. This is a goal he has completely committed himself to and he believes that the grand future that he will bring about will justify some of the acts he has to commit in order to reach his goal. Provided that you are not actively trying to stop his plans for ascending humanity, he is actually rather friendly; As strange as some of his inmates in Arkham Asylum might find it, he actually bares no grudge against Batman for taking him down.

History:
Born in Gothem to an upper middle class family, Andrew had a much better childhood than most; He had a loving family who ensured that he had access to the things that he needed to succeed in life. Discovering a love for putting things together at a very young age, Andrew pursued his passion to a masters in engineering and was actively working towards earning enough money to pursue a doctorate in engineering when the 'incident' happened.

In order to help pay for his education, Andrew had gotten a job at a toy company. At first he was merely someone who worked on the floor but in time he managed to snag a job higher up in actively designing new kinds of toys for the company to produce. Things were going well... until Andrew produced a robotic pony design to go with some cartoons brand of toys. While his prototypes, alphas and beta versions of the toy worked worked perfectly, when the company attempted to produce some of the new toys on their own without Andrew being apart of the process nine out of ten of them caught fire. An inspection discovered that the fault lay in the designs themselves and that such things should have long been uncovered.

Andrew was fired for 'Gross Negligence' due to letting such a dangerously hazardous toy make it to the mass production stage and his name buried in the mud in engineering cycles because of the incident.

Completely heartbroken and lost in a downwards spiral as everything he had worked so hard for fell apart around him, Andrew was staring at the roof above his bed when something snapped in his mind. It was his fate, no his destiny to raise mankind above the pointless wars and horrible afflictions that plagued it! Everything in his life had been heading in that direction but there were people who didn't want him to achieve that utopia out of petty spit and greed... People like his former employers and co-workers, who must have sabotaged his designs in order to destroy his reputation to try and stop him.

For the good of human kind, they needed to be removed from the world...

When Andrew returned to the toy company, he had a small but highly dangerous and deadly army of 'Toys' with him. The hostage situation lasted a good six hours with the higher ups of the company slaughtered in cold blood. The hostage situation ended due to the involvement of Batman taking Andrew (Or the Toymaker as he had been labeled by the police) down painfully. Deemed mentally unfit for jail, Andrew was sent to Arkham Asylum.

Once the red had fade from his vision after the toy company purge, Andrew couldn't help but feel that all things considered this was the best outcome of a rash, foolish move on his behalf. While Batman could have been a little less rough about it, Andrew had to acknowledge that Batman had most likely saved his life that night; A fist to the face is a lot less lethal then a sniper bullet through the brain.

He wasn't in the Asylum for long though... with the creation of Arkham city he found himself under the open sky once again, though surrounded by highly dangerous people following warlord like gang bosses. But that was just fine... he had to start somewhere after all and there was plenty of resources he could work with...

Fears: Dying before he can have a meaningful impact on the world.

Likes:
Working with machinery, Coming up with new ideas, Proving himself right, people who work for the greater good.

Dislikes:
Corrupt, greedy stupid people.

Theme song:

Reason for being in Arkham City: Was a former Arkham Asylum patient transferred over.

Other: Not legally a doctor. Still uses the title through.
@Romero

Indeed. I'm curious but out of the five nations, who would you believe to be the strongest on paper? I know that tactics and all that would decide who would still be standing at the end of the day, but if New Gobolia was to work out betting odds who would they put the smart money on?
@Legion02 It all looks good to me! I'm glad we've got our first heavily magically based nation, feel free to post your nation over in the characters tab and I'll put you on the map as soon as I get round to it

What do you mean the first? Tushienia is a magic heavy nation; We just decided to improve life for none magical people as well.
We could always have the forces of light being divided by differing ideologies; One faction willing to do just about anything in the name of the 'Greater Good' while the other is zealously against doing evil things to achieve 'Good' ends.
Fixed my thing. It's 21 traits plus the racial and the free ones. 25 all up.
Is it too late to join this Rp?
Simple enough really... The story is we take over the world while making our own plans for what to do with it.
