Current Sorry for my lack of posts lately. I've just... been struggling to get the energy to write something up. I'm trying some new meds through so hopefully that will change soon.

While Zyphus strongly suspected that Gnarl was doing exactly has he had told them to do whenever they did something that they could get in trouble for; When the wolves are on your tail, it's time to throw someone off the sled. Of course he couldn't actually call Gnarl out on this because he couldn't actually prove it...

Arriving at the armory and being welcomed by his mother and step mothers was a... mixed surprise. He didn't like Aunt Fay in the slightest and his relationship with his own mother wasn't exactly the greatest of relationships, but the fact that Auntie Kelda was there brought a smile to his face. There were a few words pleasantries shared before gifts were presented... and Zyphus got a good look at the armor that his mother had prepared for him.

In truth he was quite surprised by the sight of it since it suggested a level of insight that he didn't often attribute to his mother. Then again if there was anything the self absorbed harpy knew about it was fashion and how to make someone look good. Donning the armor while saving the hood for last, once it was up all that could be seen of his face from under the shadows was the glow of his yellow eyes.

The weapon that had been created to do with the armor was just as impressive; At first glance it had appeared to be a warpick that had been created from human or elven bones, but closer inspection reveled it to be made of metal that had been treated to look like bone. It had been masterfully created and balanced as a few practice swings proved easily enough. There seemed to be an enchantment on the blade itself but he could tell what it was exactly...

Turning to look at his mother, Zyphus offered her a surprisingly sincere "Thank you mother."
@Scarifar

Sad to see you go. Take care mate.

@Belwicket

So... what does the new armor look like?
Zyphus had never really had the knack for magic that some of his half siblings had but that did not mean that he was stupid. Quite the opposite in fact. As he followed his siblings and Gnarl down towards the armory, when he finally spoke he betrayed a vastly different line of thought to that of his various kin. "We can hardly blame them for seeing an opportunity to seize more power for themselves at the cost of another and taking it; Any of us would have done the same in their shoes in a heartbeat. What I'm more interested in is how exactly this opportunity presented itself to them. The way I see it, there are three possible ways that this went down. The first is that they attacked with overwhelming force and claimed our artifacts as spoils of conquest, in which case we should have been alerted about what was going on. The second is that our security was so poorly organized as to be considered grossly incompetent. The last is that we have been betrayed from within our ranks."

Turning his gaze to rest solely on Gnarl, Zyphus's smile seemed to gain an unnervingly sharp edge to it; Much like a knife in the hand of a mugger in a dark alleyway. "So Gnarl, who is it that is in charge of the security of our home in the absence of our father?" Considering that the old minion was in charge of the day to day affairs of their home, it was clear that Zyphus had a strong inclination about who was head of security.
As the meeting started to get underway and more and more people left, Ruink had finished his sandwich and watched rather quietly as the situation unfolded. There were more people speaking up and making demands but there were one or two voices that caught the hybrids attention above all others.

@IceHeart

The first voice that caught his attention was the rather petite woman that was yelling about destiny. If her introduction was anything to go by her name was Tina Din and she claimed to be some kind of Oracle that would defeat a great evil. Her self importance and ego aside, she was kind of cute and her choice of outfit drew the eye, if only because of how outside of the normal it was. Someone to speak to later he felt...

@JoPo
The second voice to really stand out was one speaking about how everyone was here for some sort of reward or payment. Turning towards what turned out to be another woman's voice, Ruink's gaze landed on the rather captivating sight of a Gerudo woman. He had seen some of the Gerudo before back home through they were still a rare and exotic sight to behold... this one especially so. Provided of course that she didn't end up robbing him blind this trip was looking more and more like the correct decision to make as far as Ruink was concerned.

Still, the meeting got underway as 'Warden' took over, making it clear that they were relocating to somewhere near the foothills of the Death Mountain Ranges. While moving to such a place would fill most Zora with fear of dehydration (and with good reason) Ruink himself had much less to fear; The benefits of being a hybrid after all.

Thinking to himself for a moment, he removed a small wooden disk from a pocket of his tunic. On one side was a carefully craved picture of a crown while on the other was a likewise carefully craved fish picture. Flipping the disk into the air, he caught it in his open palm as it came back down before slapping the disk onto the back of his left hand. Uncovering the disk, the fish side was clearly on top.

His mind made up, when the party started to move out Ruink made the effort to be at around the same part of the group as the Gerudo woman. Offering her a warm smile, he politely asked "So, what sort of treasure do you think we'll uncover during this adventure? Even if it isn't the goal, if stories have told me anything the lairs of beasts and monsters tend to contain treasures and items that were either lost there when the area was originally abandoned or horded by the monsters themselves."
@Gilgex@Jangel13

Maybe I liked spending time with Auntie Kelda more then I did Mum. At least she took the time to spend time with me and care about me while Mum was to busy looking at her reflection in any available surface or basking in her wealth.

And I know for a fact that you spent time with Auntie Fay Soulless. That batshit crazy fairy was a bad influence on you.
@Jangel13

And you're the baby of the family... who mum didn't seem to like from the looks of it. I mean really, who names their child Soulless? At least me and Oya got actual names...

Unless you have a real name and you're just being all emo by calling yourself Soulless. In which chase be prepared to be mocked and teased little brother.
A small wave of brown minions heralded the arrival of Zyphus, bursting into the throne room with an excitement more akin to that of small children then the servants of an Overlord. The excitement was somewhat tempered by the strange chill that filled the throne room, causing the minions to start cuddling themselves to try and warm up again.

Zyphus himself walked into the room with his war-pick resting on his shoulder as if this were merely any other stroll through the castle; It was quite clear just from looking that he was much more approachable then his younger half brother Avalon. Looking towards the browns, he offered a warm smile as he simply said "Thanks lads. Go and get something to eat from the kitchens and tell them I sent ya." The promise of a free meal and warmth was more then enough to get the browns minions to vacate the throne room in a chaotic hurry.

Walking forwards to stand closer to Gnarl and his half brother, Zyphus politely nodded his head to both as he said clearly "Good morning. I take it we're waiting for everyone else to arrive before you tell us why you summoned us Gnarl?"
@Romero

Hmm... Just an idea if we're suggesting traits...

Raise undead monsters– Through hunting or farming, you managed to slaughter and raise a monster from the dead as a mount. Be it giant spiders, wargs, big boars or any other monstrosity that roams your lands, they now serve you in undeath. These undead creatures are fast and loyal as well as extremely savage. (Light Cavalry gets an advantage)

Raise undead mythological monsters– (Requires Raise undead monsters) Creatures of myth can now be raised from the dead. These things were more than simple monsters in live. Such beasts as Erymanthian Boar, a Manticore or a Direwolf can now be killed and brought back from the grave. Far stronger in combat and undyingly loyal to their necromancer master, the undead beasts of lore will destroy any fool who stand in their way. (Heavy cavalry gets an advantage)

On undead wings I fly! – (Requires Raise undead mythological monsters) Though mastery of necromancy and the skills of your people, you can now raise flying beasts into undeath. Maybe it was a gryphon, or a wyvern. It doesn’t matter. What does are the vicious claws that are now at your disposal in the skies. (You can make Aerial Interceptors and Fasts without requiring the Dirigibles trait)
With a small sigh, Zyphus closed the book that he had been reading as the door to his room was opened. It had been another sleepless night; If he wanted to be completely honest with himself, he really needed to work on his sleeping habits but then he was sit down in bed with a good book sleep was the last thing on his mind because he needed to know what happened next.

Looking towards the brown minions that had come to his room, Zyphus listened to the excited tones and noises for a moment before nodding his head, understanding it better then most would have actually. Getting out of bed, he simply asked "Give me a moment alright? Need to get dressed then I'll be on my way." The minions nodded their heads before leaving the room, no doubt waiting for him to come out.

Getting dressed was a simple affair; Just some simple brown leather armor and a black hooded cloak was all that he need at the moment. Picking up his war pick from where he kept it, he opened the door and offered the minions a small but honest smile and a "Lead the way." before following the warband in motion that was any gathering of brown minions.

The audience chamber of the Council of Five was a rather interesting affair. Marble that had been called forth from the earth itself by Goblin shamans and shaped by their magics made up the floor, walls and roof of the chamber but those entering the room would never get to see the latter two. A series of torches lit up a path from the door to the middle of the chamber, but the light didn't travel far enough to see the walls or ceiling. Footsteps sounded out from where feet touched the marble floor but no echo returned... a fact that had unnerved more than one person to stand before the council.

The center of the room was lit up to show a large, black stone table surrounded by a semi circle of thrones made out of the same black stone. In the two seats that would have been closest to where a subject wishing for the councils attention sat two of the greatest goblin shamans of the age, dressed in the trappings of their station while looking disturbed by the news that they had just heard. Sitting besides them were two humanoid skeletons that radiated dark magical power while dressed in wealthy if seemingly worn robes, one purple the other gold, the founders of Tushienia itself almost two hundred years ago. At the head of the table sat a goblin skeleton dressed in a royal red dress, the first goblin lich to ascend to the council and the official tied breaker when the council disagreed. While their skulls wore their fixed grins, the air in the chamber was tense and uneasy.

Finally, it was the goblin shaman Tork that spoke first. "Something wicked this way comes."

"Indeed." Answered Vaewith the Renovator from the head of the table, her hands coming up to tap her chin in thought. "There is no denying it. What should our course of action be?"

There was a thoughtful silence before the second shaman Uzereda Nightshade spoke up at last. "Well clearly our first course of action should be the recruitment and training of more troops. Mundane ones. Our magic is strong but having a wall of armor and steel between our mages and the enemy is always a good thing."

"Very true." Rodrim Payne agreed before offering his own advice on the matter "We should also send word to our neighbors in warning of the coming darkness so that they might make preparations themselves."

Vaewith turned to look at Rodrim, a questioning light in her eyes as she asked "Why? Do you think that they will believe us?"

The answer did not come from Rodrim himself, but from Nuyor the Doctor. "Not really no but that matters little in the long run. Even if they merely start their military build up because we are building up our own forces that will still serve our purposes when this threat revels itself to the world. This would also be a good chance to finally establish trade agreements and a defensive pact with Duringis. No harm in us strengthening our position in the world while preparing ourselves after all."

The meeting lasted a little while longer, but soon a plan of action was established and word was sent to those who needed to know in order to get them into motion.
