Current Sorry for my lack of posts lately. I've just... been struggling to get the energy to write something up. I'm trying some new meds through so hopefully that will change soon.

The punch was a lot more painful then Belgond was expecting but he didn't shout out; That would imply that he was a whimp. Gritting his teeth against the pain, Belgond managed to force out "Wonderful." before limping back over to join his father and Gale's.

While Gale had lost interest in the tales of their fathers, Belgond still liked to listen in from time to time, if only to give him some lesions to take with him on the road when he started to travel around.

Soon enough Gale finished with her waitressing duties and rejoined hi- them. He actually smiled rather warmly at her as he listened to her... Or at least at hearing what she softly muttered so that only he would hear her. While he was happy to play along with the whole 'Outlaw' thing that Gale tried to pretend to be, it was moments like this that showed him that she was still the girl that he liked... And that his dad liked to tease him about.

Looking over at who Gale was pointing towards, Belgond recognised the former leader of the Swords of Justice. The smile that was on Belgond's face twisted a little as if he had just bite into a lemon; a sign that he was thinking sour thoughts. "While I can respect him and the things he has done, I have to agree with you Gale. I don't want to be like him... I don't want to be as alone as he has become."

Before he had the chance to explain why he would say such a thing, a vulpix of all things burst through the door, shouted out a challenge to Kel and then proceeded to flame wheel the floor before starting to panic that his 'master plan' had failed."... I would make you promise not to become an outlaw like that, but but I trust that you won't already."
Despration
Casino.

It had been interesting to see the various people that has decided to join him on this venture to take out a casino. A part of him had to wonder just how safe the method of teleportation that the lair team had used, but considering that he was going to be walking instead of using it himself he didn't exactly care that much.

As they had walked towards the destination, the plague doctor had tried to start a conversation but the walk was rather short and the moment they arrived the muscle headed girl with the belt had charged ahead without any attempt at thinking and forcing everyone else to charge in after her to save her ass.

Turning towards the snake woman for a moment as he remarked "It isn't like having a plan going into this would have been a good idea or anything. Oh well... Then again, your exotic beauty would have made anything subtle kind of hard."

Following after his collages at a somewhat more relaxed pace, Despration noticed the coat room woman who was clearly confused by what was going on. Raising his hat to the woman, he simply said "[i]Take your doctor's advice. Go home and get some rest." His message given, the hat was returned to his head as he continued to follow the sounds of destruction.

Going down the stars and entering the casino proper before drawing a scalpel. One of the guards turned their attention away from the others and moved to raise a gun at the newest threat. With a surprising amount of skill, Despration flicked the scalpel through the air, striking the man in the throat and causing him to drop the gun and reach for his neck.

Striding confidently over to the man, Despration seized the handle of the scalpel, causing the blade to start glowing darkly. Hearing the sound of someone sneaking up behind him, Despration twisted the blade before pulling it free by kicking the man off of it, spinning around to slice cleanly through a new guards throat and letting him start choking on air.

Two down...

Someone had been playing the guitar.

It was one of those strange little things that people remembered after the fact, but as Belgond had been waiting in the trench with the rest of the Tushienia Lizards, someone had been playing a guitar while they were waiting for the signal to climb out of the trenchs and charge the ork held city. Objectively the guitar player wasn't even any good, but against the backdrop of artillery and the war cries of Orks on the wind he was exactly what the company needed to calm their nerves and get them ready to go over the trench.

Soon enough the first whistle blew. The sign that they were about to go over the top and find out who the God Emperor was truly protecting today. Belgond gripped the ladder tightly enough that his knuckles turned white, breathing deeply to steady himself.

The second whistle blew. The Tushienia Lizards charged over the trench and into the companies first battle.

Belgond didn't truly know what was going on after he left the trench; They were charging towards the hole in the wall that had been called the 'Right' breach, but he couldn't actually see how he rest of the company was faring. He had been one of the first out of the trenches and the fact that he was just a standard grunt instead of one of the specialists meant that he didn't have any extra gear or duties to slow him down, leaving him as one of the lead front runners of the charge.

While being the person in front of such a charge would normally result in dying horribly to snipers or gunfire, Belgond was quite confident that he would be fine in this case; The primer was quite clear that Orks used guns to appease their primative, heretical 'gods' for granting them a battle to die in by firing them randomly into the air. He was more likely to get hit by an imperial solder by mistake then by an Ork actually aiming at him.

The artillery was still a concern; While Orks were stupid, most of them seemed to understand the concept of pointing the end of the weapon and fires explosive death in the general direction of the forces of rightousness that were attacking them and those things didn't need much more in the way of aiming to be deadly.

As he neared the breach, Belgond caught up with the tail end of the regiment that had managed to beat the Lizards to be the first one into the fray; From the amount of bodies (both human and foul xeno), the fighting had been bloody so far, but the tide of the battle was still clearly in Imperial favour!

Running past the wounded and those attempting to help them, he tried his best to ignore the smell of death and the insane gore that was before him in order to continue forward... Only to see the tide of Orks that had surrounded the regiment that had gone in first; The poor bastards had charged in to far and gotten themselves surrounded!

Belgond trusted that bulk of the Lizards had gotten through and would be arriving shortly to save whatever was left of the lead regiment, but watching good, loyal humans be slaughtered like coigs at the butchers made his blood boil with rage!

Before he could open fire on the green skinned monsters, something caught his eye. One of the solders of the forward regiment was not caught in the ambush; From the body nearby, it was clear that they had been delayed and thus had been outside of the net when it closed.

... And there was a small, vermin like ork thing sneaking up behind them with a pistol, trying to line up a shot.

Without thought, Belgond charged forwards on legs that were aching, slamming into the solder about to be ambushed in order to knock her (and himself as a happy bonus) out of the way of the bullet as the little wretched creature fired and hit nothing but air and an old wall that was still standing.

Belgond's counter shot was much more acurate, nailing the cowardly little xeno prick right between the eyes from his position on his back on the ground. Rolling onto his stomach to push himself to his feet, he offered the guardsman that he had just saved a hand up... And noticed for the first time that they were a rather attractive female. Still, this was a war zone and he needed to stay focused. "Are you alright?"
@agentmanatee

@agentmanateeI'm perfectly fine with doing a collab. Just let me get my introduction post up first and we can get started alright? I have something interesting in mind.
@neogreggory

So... How long do you think it'll last before the party starts betraying itself?
I cannot help but feel that Belgond is one of the party straight man, isn't he?
As Belgond approached his childhood friend, those who knew him well would notice that something seemed... off about him. The normally brave and confident Explorer wannabe's ears were wilted as nervousness and doubt at away at him with the thumping of his little heart in his chest.

Thankfully, Gale started the conversation off on a subject that Belgond knew well enough that he could bypass the confusing feelings plaguing him. "Hey Gale. I'm actually going to the guild hall later on to sign up actually. Dad wanted us to have lunch together before I registered."

The nervousness returned as Belgond gulped and looked at the floor nervously. "W-would you like to join us? I know that a strong and..." Belgond mumbled something that the sharp of hearing might have heard as 'beautiful' "Outlaw like yourself would want to come, but I'm not an adventurer yet... And even if I was I'm sure we could work out a ceasefire so you could join me for my birthday lunch.

For a moment, Belgond felt as if someone was watching him. Glancing around, his gaze fell on a strange Pokemon that seemed to be vaguely familiar but he couldn't recall exactly who it was. He offered the man a wave while he nervously awaited Gale's response.

@Antarctic Termite@Ordure
So who still needs to post?
Alright, going to be honest, Desperation does not have an ice cream van. He has a refrigerated meat truck. Got to keep the organs in good condition after all.

Going to have to check out the place we're hitting first, but a couple of plans are forming.
@Mardox

So how is your battle for the islands going?
