"I'd rath....." Rose Mary started to say what she normally said out of habit. "Sorry. I'd assume you want the long version." She took a deep breath. "My birth was a curse on the family tradition of military service, if you believe the bigot sperm donor that married my mother because no matter what society says to him a woman is unworthy to serve in the military. Coupled with the fact that my mother became incapable of bearing any future children it was a recipe for my father's downward spiral. We moved back to Virginia after he was dishonorably discharged. One night I distracted the sperm donor somehow, don't remember how, that led to my dad crashing the car and killing my mother and putting me into a coma for two years. Once I was capable he began teaching me Krav Maga as a way to beat the shit out of me. One day I snapped and fought back paralyzing him, after an investigation I was taken away from him and put with a foster family. That was the happiest moment of my life up to then, that soon came crashing down like the Twin Towers. My foster father, liked to visit me at night & attack the pink fortress. When I fought back by shoving my thumbs into his eyes permanently blinding him. His thrashing around in pain led to him bumping into my dresser & knocking over a candle that burned the house down. I slept in a room without a window and the fire prevented my escape, so I did the only thing I could do I prayed for forgiveness and accepted the fact that I was going to burn to death like that good for nothing bastard in front of me. I wasn't forgiven, I was cursed with this mutation. As I knelt there praying a firefighter/bigot came through and left me there. Samantha Kensington was legally declared dead. I left with only the sperm donor's combat knife that I stole because the clothes I had were all ashes, so I stole some clothes from a neighbor. I adopted the name Rose Mary. I lived on the streets, during the winter my body turned into fire to keep me and the other bums warm. Some bums were bigots and froze to death. At times I turned to the oldest profession, that is how I met X. I thought it was one of those Pretty Woman situations. Man I was surprised when school wasn't an euphemism."

Tatiana returned to the school. She walked up to the front door. She had to wait for the new student and the others to get out of the way. @Silver Carrot

The inspiration for the current lovely beast they're running from is this. Btw, you can totally put in conversations they might have had going across the bridge before responding to the beast rising up, I just thought they might like to leave the woods in "style" XD

George grew tired of wating for a response to the thing messaging him. He began working on a fixing the plane. He realized early on his fingers were to big for the delicate work needed in some areas. He began working up schematics for any device that he could build with what he had around.

During his inventory he noticed one piece of junk was not a part for the plane. It reminded him of one his leg actuators but extremely ancient in comparison. In his body it would last maybe an hour under non-combat circumstances. It could only mean one thing they have robotic technology. He began a search for the robots, he figured this League probably used them for maintenance. He found a room full of the robots. He plugged into a central hub for all the robots and turned them on. He ordered them to begin repairing the plane and anything else as necessary.

Hawk & Dove split up to deal with the Starros attacking ordinary citizens from inside this building. Hawk being the less rational one, if she had guns they would have been blazing. Dove chose a more tactical approach, stealth, when available.

Hawk was the first find one of the infected. Not as far along, she hit him in the head knocking him out, avoidng the face. Her next opponent had a Starro on her face. It tried shooting her but she dodged. She responded by ripping a light sconce off the wall and whipped it at the attacker's head.

Dove studied two Starros interacting, at least he thought they were interacting. They weren't moving at all. No sound could be heard beyond. Apparrently something caught their attention outside. They both turned to whatever it was. Dove could see a light building up around the single eye of each. He rushed them both and smacked their head together hard knocking them out. He tried ripping off a Starro but it clung tight and he could tell by the sound of their heart that trying to do so was killing the victim.

2. It's becoming increasingly obvious that this turning into yet another Gotham City story and, frankly, that bores me to death. I'm tired of Gotham, I'm sick of Batman. But apparently that's all anyone knows and thus everyone and their dog is in freaking Gotham for no real reason.

It's becoming obvious you are not reading. My characters are not from Gotham and never been to Gotham.

Starfire & Zod I believe are in Metropolis now.

Hawkman is in Coast City.

One more question: Why should any invading alien force give a crap about some random ass cities in Kansas or a bum-fuck slum in New Jersey like Gotham? I'm pretty sure they SHOULD be appearing in major capital cities like D.C. and London and what-have-you.
