so i'm thinking lexa and jack are eventually gonna need some kinda motivation later on to not horribly murder each other (besides falling in love or whatever) and it's gonna need to come down to having a common enemy i figure. lexa's backstory is pretty vague, so i have plenty of wiggle room to make things work however i need them to. so how about lexa's powers are somehow tied to whatever group messed up jack and the crew? either they gave them to her or she had them prior and they used her genes as a base to alter the others. she's younger than the program, but i figure they coulda already been messing up kids in different ways before she came along.

thoughts? ideas?

Lexa lost attention in the man as he followed her command and walked outside. Her brow furrowed again as she looked back down at her phone. A new headline popped up on the screen. Superhuman Havoc Downtown. The timestamp was from two minutes ago. Cursing to herself, Lexa dropped the phone and pushed herself up. She didn't have time to go back to her apartment and grab her gear. Stupid, she was so stupid for leaving it at home today. She'd just have to make do.

"Tyrell, you're in charge," she announced to the audience as she hurried to the back room. A large, dark hand raised up above their heads in a thumbs up sign as the door swung shut.

Her coworkers were good, trusting people – no one locked their employee lockers. And Emma sure had a thing for black. In a matter of minutes, Trick stood in the little bookstore's back room, in a pair of her own black jeans, a fitted black hoodie, and a long black scarf intricately wrapped to hide her crimson hair and the bottom half of her face.

She needed a weapon. Trick went to the supply closet and pulled out the mop. Shoving off the head, she brought the wooden pole down hard against her lifted knee, splitting it in two. She'd pay for a new one. Spinning the two makeshift weapons in her hands to test her grip, she looked out the window. And then she was gone in a pop.

Trick darted through the city, rushing towards the commotion with the help of her teleportation. Her eyes narrowed at what she saw: the man from last night, Black Jack, and one of those numbered bastards who'd been popping up in the city. A group of police officers, determined but clearly terrified at the threat, were aiming their guns at the two.

The Number raised his hands and a pressure wave erupted forth. Black Jack was thrown back, as were the cops. And their cruisers. Eyes widening, Trick sprang into action. In an instant she appeared beside a man thrown in the path of a flying car. In the next, both she and the man were gone, reappearing a short distance to the side.

Trick dropped the cop without ceremony, and was gone again. A muffled pop was the only warning the man with outstretched palms had before he felt jagged, splintering wood pressed hard against his spine. When the cops and other wary onlookers finally processed the scene, their eyes widened. It was Trick, their nighttime guardian (menace?). She was dressed oddly, and didn't have her katana, but there was no doubt it was her. In the daylight.

Trick glared at Black Jack over the man's shoulder, amber eyes flashing in the sun, but her voice was directed at the Number.

"I'm getting sick of you poker deck jackasses tearing up my city. One chance. Stand. Down."

Pokemon RP anyone?

Hey everyone! I've got a massive hankering for a Pokemon RP and was wondering if anyone would like to join me? ^.^ I'm pretty flexible with whatever sort of plot people want.

Some General Expectations
-No set word count you have to meet. I get that sometimes a long post is required and sometimes a short post is required. I'd like at the very least a paragraph, hopefully more for most posts. Just write what you want and think is necessary to add to the scene, and make sure I have enough to respond to. I can write massive walls of text when the mood hits so be able to read all those too.
-I do not expect this RP to be your first priority. Life happens! I'm pretty patient if you need a couple days to post and I hope you're patient with me too ^.^ Just let me know if something comes up. Overall I want this to just be a low stress, fun adventure.
-I would prefer to play as humans instead of Pokemon
-My first character would be female though I plan on taking on more characters as the RP goes on
-Romance is fine! FxM FxF or FxQ are all ok though I'm not really one for smut
-Violence gore and swearing are also ok, but shouldn't take away from the plot
-Be willing to push the plot in whichever way you like. This is a partnership, so we both need to work together to move the story.
-I'm not going to heckle you about grammar and spelling, but please just make sure to proofread your post before you submit it. I don't mind typos or weird grammar issues (lord knows I do them all the time =P) but if it's every other word then it can be distracting, y'know?
-I would prefer to RP in a thread. It's just easier to organize.
-Be ok with your character not being perfect. They're gonna have flaws and fail sometimes and not be liked by everyone.

I think that's everything for my guidelines. As for plot I'm pretty flexible. The only thing is that I'd prefer not to do a standard gym circuit and I'd rather not limit what Pokemon are available by region. Other than that, the sky's the limit!

Some possible ideas:
-Our characters are trying to deal with some evil gang, either are fighting them or were captured by them or even are part of the gang
-One or both characters are gym leaders or members of the Elite 4 and it can either start off being about one character challenging them or dealing with running a town or the region
-Something more slice of life with the characters in school
-Our characters are trapped in a cave or an island
-There's some super special prophesy involving legendaries that our characters are wrapped up in

We could do something involving any of those plot lines, all of them, or something totally unrelated! And obviously I expect the RP and plot to shift over time so it's not like whatever we pick is going to be the only thing we do.

Cool mod post! I'm gonna wait a couple days before posting to see if northern returns to us. So did the beam of light kill the people too? Or did it just kill the demons and leave the humans to be infected?

Also I'm out and about in the world with only my phone right now so I can't type up long coherent explanations but as far as what I want for Meryn I think I'm pretty flexible. She's someone who's always had to be more resourceful and clever rather than powerful or influential, so if she does end up with any powers I want them to be more like... passive? So she's still mostly relying on her own resourcefulness and whatever cool objects she finds and knowledge she gains (I'm totally for her learning how to use runes). her arc is shaping up to be about making connections with people and understanding them and being ok with relying on them. So a passive ability for that would be like some sort of ability to understand like nature or creatures or ghosts or something. But I mean the mask is already doing a big part of that with seeing dreams. I just need to be more proactive about using it lol.

And I mean I'm totally open for whatever other ideas you have about what could be cool. This is just me spitballing. Like I said I'm pretty flexible and I'm sure whatever happens will be cool. And of course her abilities don't have to be tied to her arc. Heck she doesn't even need any abilities. Just more knowledge and cool things to collect. I'd also like the Oliver Locke bell to be relevant? Meryn's kinda attached to it lol. It could just be her little companion cube.

For enemies I really want the hooded people to be important since they're tied to both Emma's and Meryn's backstories. Or they don't even have to be enemies. Just shady players.

I dig what diggerton says about the world being a blank slate. Lots to discover. Over all I have some ideas of maybe what could be cool (mostly what I said above but if I think of anything else I'll add it on) but honestly I'm pretty flexible? I kinda wanna see more stuff about whatever creature you said was causing the crystalline and the girl trapped somewhere using the mechanical bird to talk to people.

So this was long but probs didn't make much sense. I might revisit it when I have a computer. Let me know if anything needs to be better explained or if anyone else has any thoughts.
