Current Geez, it's been 11 months since I last logged in. Sorry to anyone I was RPing with, real life got in the way and I guess I just lost track of time.

I was going to have Danny discover his powers the next morning. He wakes up and finds he can see perfectly without his glasses, and he also suddenly has muscle definition and is flexing in front of a mirror (Just like the first Spider-Man movie.)

Of course, if something happens in the next post that warrants his powers showing up sooner, that works too.

Nah, you should be fine going with your original plan. There won't be any baddies for them to fight that soon. Luke and Donny will notice their powers a little, but they won't be in a combat situation until a day or two after the event. I'm thinking maybe 85% of the crowd dies that night at the park or later at the hospital, while the other 15% stabilize. So if we say about 1,000 people inhaled the mist, that's 850 deaths and 150 new mutants. Of those 150, many will show only minor changes or they will remain dormant for a while. Only a few dozen -- including our characters -- will actually become superheroes or supervillains. Even some who have significant powers will likely still hide once SHIELD starts poking around.

Would Danny approve of this, or be concerned?

He'd be distraught over the apparent death of his sister, no doubt. Though he may in retrospect understand how deeply David cares for both of them.
@King Kindred Definitely :D.

In my next post, I'm going to have Luke and Donny discover some of their powers pretty quick, but Owen and David won't right away. Also, I'd decided on faceclaims for the five scientists, and will include them in the post as well. Obviously, they correspond to Leader, Mr. Sinister, Doctor Doom, Green Goblin, and Crimson Dynamo, but my versions of them may not necessarily go down that exact path with those names. I will also probably bring in Obadiah Stane to that villain group around the same time that teenage Tony Stark shows up.
Today is the final day of my contest, I'm working on final revisions and stuff, and then later tonight I'll work on my next IC post. I wanted to wait for Role Model, but since it might still be a while, I don't want to risk holding up the group and others losing interest. The part of the story centering around the park will probably last two or three post cycles, and then we can probably timeskip to the next morning when they begin to really notice the changes. They'll wake up to find a huge SHIELD presence in the city and emergency rooms struggling to handle the influx of patients. The media labels it a terrorist attack and biological warfare, while the evil scientists who engineered the event begin learning that the interns were spying on them.

Kindred, one idea I have for David's first transformation into the Hulk is during their first major battle with a team of villains -- one of the baddies seemingly kills Caty, and David loses his shit like Goku going Super Saiyan for the first time and just explodes in all his green fury. Then she can pop back out and try to convince him she's fine and calm him back down. What do you think?

One change I am going to add to this version of the Hulk -- he does have a green aura like Broly when he's transforming. This is a result of his skin absorbing and converting particles in the air around him to add to his body mass to facilitate the massive growth. It's sort of a fusion process that releases a lot of energy, and then once he's returning to normal, all that excess mass is purged in the form of steam, like the Titans from AoT in a way.
I loved OG Teen Titans when it was on! (I can’t stand GO, and I have mixed feelings about Titans) I’ve only seen the first episode of Young Justice though.

There are actually a bunch of shows I want to watch or rewatch, but I never get around to doing it. xD (I have a secret, thanks to magic of the internet, I found ways to watch these shows for free. I hate that everything is spread out across a bunch of different streaming services. Yes, that would mean I’m a pirate. Ssh, don’t tell anyone.)

Haha, been there before. I was heavy into it back before the FBI took down Pirate Bay and Kickass Torrents. I don't do it so much anymore, only when I need to get something really obscure that can't be found anywhere else.
Okay, so they released our assignments for the writing contest. They give you a genre, location, and object and you have 48 hours to come up with a 1,000 word story. My group got Political Satire, a forest, and a laptop. So I've begun concocting a tale of President Charles Nobberman, who secretly likes My Little Pony and has a cabin hidden in the woods where he goes with his laptop to watch the cartoon in secret. Well, there happens to be an act of war that causes the President's advisers to break his rule and they show up at the cabin, and he is horrified that they discover his secret. But they don't really care.

One is like, "Dude, it's totally fine that you like ponies, we have more important things to worry about."

Then the President suddenly gasps and acts offended and is like, "YOU'RE A TRAITOR! YOU'RE AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE! HOW DARE YOU ACCUSE ME OF SUCH A HEINOUS CRIME! GUARDS, EXECUTE THIS MAN AT ONCE!" and there's a Secret Service dude sitting in the corner chewing gum and reading a yaoi manga and without looking up he's like, "Nope, not gonna do that."

I'm still working on the first draft.

EDIT: I'm also totally gonna add someone saying, "Call us when your balls drop, King Joffrey," LOL.
@RenegadeRunaway Maaaaan I love Young Justice! I was part of the OG crowd screaming for Season 3 back in 2012, lol. I would get home from work on Saturday mornings and watch it on Cartoon Network, along with Adventure Time and Regular Show. Then I would switch over and watch Power Rangers Samurai, even though the cheesy acting drove me crazy. I was also part of the Power Rangers OG crowd and became immediately obsessed back in 1993 when it first came out in America. Aaaaaand I was also part of the OG Ninja Turtles crowd and watched it back in the late 1980s\ early 90s, lol.

I've actually done quite a few RPs based around Teen Titans and Young Justice between 2006 and 2015. Two of my favorite pairings to RP were always Nightwing/Zatanna and Superboy/Miss Martian. Maybe I'll do one here down the road sometime.

As for X-23, I know Role Model was thinking of bringing Wolvie in, so that might be an option. If he doesn't, I'd probably bring him in as an extra character at some point anyway. I had one RP a few years back where I played Wolverine in a Winter Soldier role where he was a mindless slave to HYDRA and had been telepathically brainwashed by them for decades. His first encounter with that version of the X-Men was as an assassin sent to murder Senator Kelly, but Professor X was able to remove his programming and help him regain some aspect of his lost humanity. At the time the RP ended, however, he had been temporarily written out of the story after clashing with Cyclops over Jean Grey. My initial plan was to have him seduced by Madelyne Pryor and brought back in during the Dark Phoenix Saga, but due to real world issues at the time enough players dropped out that we just kind of let the RP die. Part of that was my fault as GM by letting a total of fourteen writers in a single RP, lol. It made it very hard for some to keep up, especially if it was a day when most of us were on and posting back to back.

And I love Dragon Age and Mass Effect! We'll have to do RPs set in those worlds at some point too.
Oh and I forgot to mention anime, lol. I am behind on that too. Black Clover, Boku no Hero Academia, Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, Tower of God, FireForce, Beastars, and whatever else. I'm currently reading the Dr. Stone manga and need to watch the anime too.

I've watched all of Batwoman, Crisis on Infinite Earths, the recent season of Legends, some episodes of Flash and Supergirl, and the first ten episodes of Arrow. Now I'm trying to actually watch them in order.

I got bored with Arrow after a few years and was also low on free time, so I decided I was just going to stay caught up with Flash. There were so many shows coming out and I just couldn't keep up with them all, lol. There was one point where each week, I had to find time for Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, Legends, Agents of SHIELD, Walking Dead, and whatever else I was watching at the time. This was back when I had cable, before I moved exclusively to streaming. But now I'm more backed up on shit than ever. In addition to all the superhero shows on Netflix and DC Universe, I still need to watch Star Trek: Picard, the final season of Bojack Horseman, the most recent season of Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, the Mandalorian, and I have yet to even start Westworld, the Expanse, and whatever other shows I'm not remembering right now, lol.
You can call me Crim. I've been called that before.

The shows I'm binge watching are the Arrowverse shows. I'm still on season 1 of Arrow though...

I still need to finish Crisis on Infinite Earths. I kept up to date with Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow, and Supergirl for a few years, but now I'm behind on everything. The only thing I'm partially caught up on is Flash -- I've seen everything up until the Crisis crossover arc. I watched the first few parts that aired in December, but haven't seen the conclusion or the second half of the Flash season.
