Penny is a young girl of average height and weight with a lithe build and tanned complexion. She has freckles covering the majority of her face, as well as her neck and arms. She's usually never seen without a bandage or bruise or some kind due to her adventurous nature. She has wide, green eyes and her two front teeth are larger than average. Her long, black hair is usually let to flow freely to her waist and is generally adorned with various flowers, sticks and leaves that she collects in her free time.

Penny has a variety of different shirts she likes to wear, but they all share a common theme by having a picture of a fuzzy animal on them. She also likes to wait an ankle length skirt with mismatched socks and a pair of old, muddy sneakers. Her skirt is fastened to her weight by a novelty belt which she found at a local market. The belt buckle is shaped like a dogs face. If it's cold she might wear her favorite hand knit sweater, which has many holes in it as well as loose threads. Sometimes she'll even adorn a jacket. On her fingers she likes to keep different colored rubber bands to use as reminders. She also wears glasses, though she tends to have a different pair every other week since she keeps losing them.

Personality Penny is the epitome of childhood innocence and naivety. She's care free, fun loving and easy going by all accounts and there are few people who she doesn't instantly get along with. Penny can sometimes be described as a blind optimist, always seeing the good in a situation. Unfortunately her naivety does tend to let her be manipulated easily. She trusts other infallibly, even when logic would suggest otherwise. She's never really been one for logic, honestly. Instinct is the name of her game, and most of her decisions are based off of her gut.

For this reason, Penny is quite the curious spirit. She's adventurous and fearless, even more so than some people twice her age. She doesn't let herself miss out on the wonders of life because of insecurity, taking on any task head on regardless of how big or small. As such, she has quite a lot of hobbies. Reading, dancing, piano, gardening, knitting and the list goes on! With so much to do, Penny has to keep herself organised by using color coded rubber bands as a reminder that she keeps on her fingers.

While she might seem all sunshine and daisies, and it is true that she can be quite naive, Penny does not take kindly to those who cross her. The young girl's gall and ability to stand up to those far stronger than her is nothing short of impressive, if not foolish. Penny refuses to let her voice be ignored. She doesn't care who you are or how powerful you are, she will let you have it if you cross her. While standing up for yourself is mostly seen as a positive trait, it can be quite detrimental to her as she refuses to shut her mouth in situations where speaking up can only make matters worse. Regardless, the young ladies courage, spirit of adventure and dedication to improving herself has made her a fine up and coming mage for Golem's Hand.

Description The Muse is a Lost Magic that Penny inherited from her Great Grandmother. To put it in simple terms, a Muse is one who inspires creation, or creates to inspire. The Muse is a supportive magic based around inspiring strength, both physical and mental, in others and then using that strength to grant the Muse power. A fully realised Muse is capable of bringing out the greatest potential of those around them, inspiring courage and determination in their allies even in the most disastrous of moments.

Additionally, the Muse also holds influence over creation, allowing them to perform incredible feats of magic by harnessing the strength that they have inspired in others. These are called "Miracles", and their power varies depending on how much the Muse has influenced the lives of those around her. A Miracle can be anything from shielding their allies from a powerful spell to changing fate itself.

Muses by nature are born with incredible amounts of Magic Power, having their second origin unleashed from birth.

Magical Seal | When she was very young, Penny had a magical seal placed upon her that would prevent her from being able to tap into her Magic. As such, Penny struggles greatly with controlling even the most basic forms of magic.

Inspire | (Passive) Even though Penny's magic has been sealed away inside of her, residual power does leak through even if she is unaware of it. Those who Penny grows closer to will slowly start to feel her magical influence as a Muse and as such their magic is stronger when she is nearby. The difference is only slight, and barely noticeable. During times of emotional turmoil, Penny's influence may even increase further, restoring courage and determination to her allies in dire times.

Heightened Empathy | (Passive) As a Muse, Penny is able to experience the emotions of others. She isn't aware of this connection as of yet, and most just assume the young girl is highly empathetic for her age. As her power grows she will be able to directly tap into the inner turmoil of others, healing their hearts.

History Penelope Justice was born to inherit the powers of the Muse, as was predicted by her Great Grandmother who held the power before her. In her life time, Juleka Justice used her influence as the Muse to achieve much. She was a well respected wizard who was loved by many. However, there were some who wished to use the power of the Muse for their own ill intent. While Juleka was strong enough to defend herself from these dangers, she knew that the time would come when she would leave this life and another would inherit her powers. Her granddaughter was due to have a baby soon, and this child would be the next Muse. No doubt her powers would begin rapidly growing from a young age and her influence would reach the ears of those who sought out Juleka for their twisted purposes. In order to defend the young Penny from such a fate, Juleka performed her last miracle and turned her mind and body into a seal that would keep Penny's powers hidden until she learnt to come into them herself.

With her last great act of Magic, Juleka faded away and disappeared the night Penny was born. Her parents could feel Juleka's power within her, but they knew that the steps their grandmother took would not be enough. In order to make sure the people who hunted Juleka would never find Penny, the young couple whisked the child away in the night and brought her to an orphanage in Luna Crescente. While they would always love their daughter, they had no choice but to give her away out of fear that they may be hunted down.

Penny spent many years at the orphanage before another young couple, last name Evergreen, adopted the young girl. And why wouldn't they? She was cheery, thoughtful and her presence lit up the orphanage. She had a bit of a wild streak to her, but her new parents were happy to embrace that aspect of her. Quite the adventurous type themselves, they would often take her camping in the forests, swimming in the lake or play 'lost treasure' with her as a child. Truly the young girl was nurtured beyond belief. Then a new Wizards guild opened up in town, a guild named Golem's Hand. Naturally interested by the idea of magic, Penny begged her parents to help her learn. Neither of them were magicians, and they only used magic in their household for mundane tasks. Despite that, they took Penny to the town library to help her study magic.

Unfortunately, the seal Juleka had placed upon her to suppress her powers as a Muse made it so that she could never practice magic. Even the most mundane incantations were a struggle to her, but this did little to dishearten her young spirit. Penny decided that her potential must not lie in books alone and the only way to learn magic would be to be with other magicians. Penny started forcing herself upon the Golem's Hand guild hall, spending hours upon hours of her day there with the other mages. The young girl, possessing no power of her own, soon became a regular at the guild. She'd been spending time there for a whole year, but there was still no development in her powers. The guild master took pity on her, but was inspired by her efforts. He decided to make her an official member to boost her spirits and ensure that she would never stop trying to learn magic.
Other Penny is surprisingly strong for her age, but she still lacks any real combat ability.

The Shimizu are a small but infamous family of wizards whose ancestry dates far back before the discovery of Fiore. Originally pioneers from a distant land, the Shimizu came to Fiore with their families flag held high and proud. The twin dragons, representing strength in unity, are the very foundation of the families principles and morals. The dragons also represent balance and control, referring to an old folk tale of how the first Shimizu tamed and rode the dragon across the seas. The story is a popular one that is shared with the younger generations of the family.

When the Shimizu family set foot on Fiore, there were many of them. However as the years went by, the family name slowly but surely began to dwindle until there was only a handful who shared the name. Yet despite this, there are many others in Fiore who would be able to trace their ancestry back to them. The remaining members would go on to help found a small village located near a crescent shaped lake. As far as it has existed, Luna Crescente has been home to the Shimizu, and the family had always shared a strong bond with Harpy's Wing; providing the guild with capable young wizards for generations.

In the last generation of the Shimizu line, there was a young man who would grow up to become an outstanding wizard and an even greater father. Ryuji Shimizu married Cassandra Gilbert at the young age of twenty-two and begat three beautiful children. ____________ Shimizu, the eldest; __________ Shimizu, their second child and finally Umiko Shimizu, their youngest. However, while the birth of Umiko was a glorious miracle of life; it was also a time of great sadness. Cassandra had been suffering from a serious ailment that caused her body to become quite weak and fatigued. Giving birth to Umaki pushed her body to the limit. Whilst the young boy was born safely, Cassandra would pass away soon after his birth.

Even despite his grief, Ryuji pushed forward and dedicated himself to his children. He taught them all about their heritage and culture, even training those of the three who were interested in the ancient sword techniques of their family. Whilst the Shimizu are known for their mastery of the sword, their line of magic has since dwindled over the years. Very few Shimizu still practice it, Umiko being one of them. While they had received a great loss with Cassandra's passing, the Shimizu family would continue to stay strong and united. For that is what it meant to be a Shimizu.

Ryuji continued to raise his children alone, all while working as a very influential and powerful S Class mage of Harpy's Wing. He was compassionate, intelligent, thoughtful and shared a deep love for his guild. He would have been next in line to inherit the title of Guild Master, if not for another unfortunate event. While out on a mission, Ryuji was attacked by members of an unknown Dark Guild and murdered.

The three children, now orphaned, were distraught. Without their father's guidance, the peace between them would start to grow thin as they lived with their grief. Umiko decided that he was going to leave Harpy's Wing and instead join Golem's Hand. __________ and ___________ were shocked, but ____________ wasn't having any of it. They accused Umiko of disrespecting his fathers memory; especially after Ryuji's sword was left to him. The two siblings argued, and soon words turned to blows. Neither sibling emerged victorious, and after they were treated Umiko turned his back on Harpy's Wing. ___________, unable to take the emotional turmoil, left Luna Crescente to pursue their own path. They vowed to return one day, when hopefully the situation had settled down.

Years have passed, and the two remaining siblings residing in Luna Crescente still hold resentment for one another. The two have become the poster child for the feud between Harpy's Wing and Golem's Hand. Meanwhile it is believed the third child is soon to return from their journey.

Umiko is a young man of above average height and weight. He sports a very well built body for his age as a result of his martial training over the years. His figure suggests that of one who is quite athletic and active, and he his rough expression only serves to support this notion. Much to his displeasure, Umiko is best described as having a very feminine aesthetic for a young man. His face is rounded and smooth, with large violet eyes that share a likeness with his mother. thick, prominent lashes are are one of the more noticable features of his face. Aside from a scar underneath his left eye in the shape of a cross, plus a few cuts and bruises here and there, he has quite a fair complexion. His hair is long, passing shoulder length and a light ginger in color. His overgrown bangs frame his face, while the rest of his hair is usually tied up into a long pony tail.

Umiko is usually seen garbed in leather chausses that protect his legs, covered by a pair of loose, silk leggings that are tied to his waste by a belt of cloth. Over this he wears the traditional Shimizu family garb; a large, blue robe that loosely sits on his shoulders. He usually doesn't wear anything on his torso with the robe, but he does wear leather gauntlets over his forearms and hands. On the back of his robe, the Shimizu Twin Dragons has been embroidered into the fabric. His Mark of the Twin Dragons rests along his upper back; depicting two great serpents intertwined with one another during battle.

Personality Umiko Shimizu is a very reserved and quiet person with perhaps a hint of shyness about him. While he is not the type to speak without thinking, he does have a tendency to come off as disinterested or cold when meeting a new person. His nature causes him to be quite calm in everyday life, but make no mistake that he can be very emotional at times. It isn't easy to push his buttons on most things, but he is very sensitive on certain issues. This mostly includes anything regarding the tense situation with his family as well as his own abilities. Umiko is always afraid that he's not good enough, but he doesn't let this fear consume him. The young man is determined to grow in strength and skill, both physically and magically.

Umiko is still very much a child and as such, he can be quite stubborn and resistant of authority. Although this usually doesn't last long, as his father always taught him to respect those with more experience than he. He can be quite immature sometimes, enjoying a good laugh with friends as much as the next person. Yet despite this, he is sure to never cross any lines. He's a responsible young man that is very dedicated to learning.

Umiko has a very tense relationship with his siblings. He and his eldest sister ___________ have a lot of pent up anger and frustration towards each other. Umiko is seen by ____________ as a traitor to his Guild and his family for his decision to leave Harpy's Wing and instead join Golem's Hand. In truth, Umiko made the decision out of cowardice. He couldn't bear to be around Harpy's Wing, not with all the painful memories of his late father still echoing through it's halls. His brother is a constant reminder of his own weakness, and the two are always at each others throats on the unfortunately common instance where they meet. Umiko assumes his other sister, __________ feels the same way as ____________. It's hard for him to really know, what with her being out in the world discovering her own path.

Magic Specialty Mark of the Sea Dragon
Description Every member of the Shimizu family possesses the Mark of the Twin Dragons. Umiko bears the Mark of the Sea and Sky Dragons, but he is currently only able to access the power of half of his Mark. When fully realised, members of the Shimizu family are able to manifest an aspect of their soul as a spectral dragon that augments them in combat.

Mark of the Sea Dragon | A Sword Magic revolving around the manipulation of water through swordplay. Umiko is able to control any source of water to his command through his sword. If there is no water source available, Umiko can generate a small amount of water around his blade but it’s not as effective. This can be used in a variety of offensive or defensive spells. Additionally, when he unsheathes Suijin he summons forth Susano’o, a spectral Eastern Dragon that is a manifestation of Umiko’s resilience. When Susano’o is present with Umiko, it vastly increases the sharpness of his blade. The blade gains cutting power so potent it can even slice straight through magic. The dragon also acts as an extension of his blade, following the motions of Umiko’s strikes. Those who are struck by the dragon are damaged as if they have been cut by Umiko’s blade.

Umiko still has a long way to go with his training and he still finds controlling Susano’o to be a challenge. He can only keep the blade unsheathed for a short period of time, as Susano’o is very magic hungry and takes a lot of power from Umiko.

Mark of the Sky Dragon Umiko has yet to unleash the second half of his mark. As such, it is unknown what the Mark of the Sky Dragon will offer him.

Supplementary Spells
Water Walking | (Passive) Umiko is able to walk and stand on water as if it were solid ground.

Born of the Sea | (Passive) Umiko can breathe underwater for extremely long periods of time. Additionally, he is able to move much faster in water.

Tidal Journey | Umiko creates a wave of water, riding atop of it in order to move quickly. The wave holds enough force to crush stone and can be devastating if someone were to make contact with it.

Offensive Spells
Urchin Strike | Umiko thrusts his sword forward, sending forth a crushing projectile of water to his target. A simple, quick spell with little power on its own; but multiple casts can weaken opponents quite quickly.

Slicing Wave | Umiko slashes his sword in a direction, sending an arc of cutting water flying towards his target.

Ocean Barrage | Umiko delivers a swift series of strikes against his target, releasing multiple Urchin Strikes in quick succession against his target.

Descent of Susano’o | When Suijin is unsheathed, Umiko gathers a large amount of water around his spectral dragon before delivering an overhead strike against his opponent. Susano’o and all collected water rise above Umiko before crashing down on his victim.

Defensive Spells
Rising Tides | Umiko brings his sword up in a defensive stance, summoning forth a small, yet high pressure wall of water capable of stopping most attacks in their path.

In time, more spells will be learnt.

Main Weapon Oikaze A wakizashi that was given to Umiko on his 10th birthday by his eldest sister. The blade was specifically forged and named for the young man’s birth mark. Each Shimizu possesses a mark depicting Twin Dragons. Umiko bears the Mark of the Sea Dragon, as well as that of the Sky Dragon.

Whilst Umiko has been unable to call upon the Sky Dragon, Fuujin; he still prefers to wield Oikaze as his primary weapon. The blade is short, but sturdy and he is able to wield it with much more ease than Suijin.
Secondary Weapon Suijin A legendary sword of the Shimizu family. The ancient katana, which is said to have been wielded by the first Shimizu, is forged from the scales of dragons. As such, the blade carries unique magical and physical properties. The blade will never break or dull and it can only be unsheathed by a member of the Shimizu Family.

Even further, the blade shares a special bond with those who possess the Mark of the Sea Dragon. The Suijin blade can be wielded by any member of the Shimizu, but those who possess this mark will be able to call forth the spectral dragon spirit of the sea.

History Umiko was the youngest of the Shimizu children, and his mother died shortly after giving birth to him. While he was too young to really understand, Umiko could feel the sorrow in his families hearts whenever they looked upon him. That was not to say they did not love him, but he was a constant reminder of their beautiful mother. Umiko's father, Ryuji, raised the boy the same way he had raised his other children. He taught him all about discipline, respect and honor. He was a stern yet loving father who would be very strict in making sure Umiko stayed on coarse with his studies while still making time to train him in the art of the sword.

Umiko had a great relationship with his two older siblings when growing up. While it was no secret to anyone that he was the annoying baby brother, the older two enjoyed spending time with him. When he was old enough, Umiko and his siblings would often spend entire days at the crescent lake. They would spar, fish, swim and tell ghost stories before setting up camp for the night. Ryuji would often accompany them when he wasn't busy with Guild work and they would all have a grand time.

As Umiko grew into adolescence, his training started to grow more intense. He liked the challenge, but could be a bit childish in regards to a little friendly rivalry with his siblings. Ryuji had continued to be an upstanding member of Harpy's Wind and there was even talk that he may one day succeed the current Guild Master. However when he was murdered whilst out on a mission by members of a mysterious Dark Guild, those aspirations were shattered. Worse so, Umiko and his siblings were left as orphans.

Everything spiraled from there, and the events that followed have been described in the Shimizu family description. Umiko and his eldest sister had a falling out, resulting in a battle that left Umiko with his scar. After that, the three siblings went their separate ways. Umiko left Harpy's Wing to become a member of Golem's Hand. The guilds recognition of personal skill and growth seemed like the more ideal place for him to train and seek vengeance for his father. He's been there for about two years now, and still has yet to fit in with most of the other members who still view him as a Harpy.
Other Umiko’s style of fighting is based around swift movements, redirecting the force of attacks against him with fast feet, a stance that flows like water, and his own strength.

She isn't aware of this connection as of yet, and most just assume the young girl is highly empathetic for her age. As her power grows she will be able to directly tap into the inner turmoil of others, healing their hearts.

History Penelope Justice was born to inherit the powers of the Muse, as was predicted by her Great Grandmother who held the power before her. In her life time, Juleka Justice used her influence as the Muse to achieve much. She was a well respected wizard who was loved by many. However, there were some who wished to use the power of the Muse for their own ill intent. While Juleka was strong enough to defend herself from these dangers, she knew that the time would come when she would leave this life and another would inherit her powers. Her granddaughter was due to have a baby soon, and this child would be the next Muse. No doubt her powers would begin rapidly growing from a young age and her influence would reach the ears of those who sought out Juleka for their twisted purposes. In order to defend the young Penny from such a fate, Juleka performed her last miracle and turned her mind and body into a seal that would keep Penny's powers hidden until she learnt to come into them herself.

With her last great act of Magic, Juleka faded away and disappeared the night Penny was born. Her parents could feel Juleka's power within her, but they knew that the steps their grandmother took would not be enough. In order to make sure the people who hunted Juleka would never find Penny, the young couple whisked the child away in the night and brought her to an orphanage in Luna Crescente. While they would always love their daughter, they had no choice but to give her away out of fear that they may be hunted down.

Penny spent many years at the orphanage before another young couple, last name Evergreen, adopted the young girl. And why wouldn't they? She was cheery, thoughtful and her presence lit up the orphanage. She had a bit of a wild streak to her, but her new parents were happy to embrace that aspect of her. Quite the adventurous type themselves, they would often take her camping in the forests, swimming in the lake or play 'lost treasure' with her as a child. Truly the young girl was nurtured beyond belief. Then a new Wizards guild opened up in town, a guild named Golem's Hand. Naturally interested by the idea of magic, Penny begged her parents to help her learn. Neither of them were magicians, and they only used magic in their household for mundane tasks. Despite that, they took Penny to the town library to help her study magic.

Unfortunately, the seal Juleka had placed upon her to suppress her powers as a Muse made it so that she could never practice magic. Even the most mundane incantations were a struggle to her, but this did little to dishearten her young spirit. Penny decided that her potential must not lie in books alone and the only way to learn magic would be to be with other magicians. Penny started forcing herself upon the Golem's Hand guild hall, spending hours upon hours of her day there with the other mages. The young girl, possessing no power of her own, soon became a regular at the guild. She'd been spending time there for a whole year, but there was still no development in her powers. The guild master took pity on her, but was inspired by her efforts. He decided to make her an official member to boost her spirits and ensure that she would never stop trying to learn magic.
Other Penny is surprisingly strong for her age, but she still lacks any real combat ability.

The Shimizu are a small but infamous family of wizards whose ancestry dates far back before the discovery of Fiore. Originally pioneers from a distant land, the Shimizu came to Fiore with their families flag held high and proud. The twin dragons, representing strength in unity, are the very foundation of the families principles and morals. The dragons also represent balance and control, referring to an old folk tale of how the first Shimizu tamed and rode the dragon across the seas. The story is a popular one that is shared with the younger generations of the family.

When the Shimizu family set foot on Fiore, there were many of them. However as the years went by, the family name slowly but surely began to dwindle until there was only a handful who shared the name. Yet despite this, there are many others in Fiore who would be able to trace their ancestry back to them. The remaining members would go on to help found a small village located near a crescent shaped lake. As far as it has existed, Luna Crescente has been home to the Shimizu, and the family had always shared a strong bond with Harpy's Wing; providing the guild with capable young wizards for generations.

In the last generation of the Shimizu line, there was a young man who would grow up to become an outstanding wizard and an even greater father. Ryuji Shimizu married Cassandra Gilbert at the young age of twenty-two and begat three beautiful children. ____________ Shimizu, the eldest; __________ Shimizu, their second child and finally Umiko Shimizu, their youngest. However, while the birth of Umiko was a glorious miracle of life; it was also a time of great sadness. Cassandra had been suffering from a serious ailment that caused her body to become quite weak and fatigued. Giving birth to Umaki pushed her body to the limit. Whilst the young boy was born safely, Cassandra would pass away soon after his birth.

Even despite his grief, Ryuji pushed forward and dedicated himself to his children. He taught them all about their heritage and culture, even training those of the three who were interested in the ancient sword techniques of their family. Whilst the Shimizu are known for their mastery of the sword, their line of magic has since dwindled over the years. Very few Shimizu still practice it, Umiko being one of them. While they had received a great loss with Cassandra's passing, the Shimizu family would continue to stay strong and united. For that is what it meant to be a Shimizu.

Ryuji continued to raise his children alone, all while working as a very influential and powerful S Class mage of Harpy's Wing. He was compassionate, intelligent, thoughtful and shared a deep love for his guild. He would have been next in line to inherit the title of Guild Master, if not for another unfortunate event. While out on a mission, Ryuji was attacked by members of an unknown Dark Guild and murdered.

The three children, now orphaned, were distraught. Without their father's guidance, the peace between them would start to grow thin as they lived with their grief. Umiko decided that he was going to leave Harpy's Wing and instead join Golem's Hand. __________ and ___________ were shocked, but ____________ wasn't having any of it. They accused Umiko of disrespecting his fathers memory; especially after Ryuji's sword was left to him. The two siblings argued, and soon words turned to blows. Neither sibling emerged victorious, and after they were treated Umiko turned his back on Harpy's Wing. ___________, unable to take the emotional turmoil, left Luna Crescente to pursue their own path. They vowed to return one day, when hopefully the situation had settled down.

Years have passed, and the two remaining siblings residing in Luna Crescente still hold resentment for one another. The two have become the poster child for the feud between Harpy's Wing and Golem's Hand. Meanwhile it is believed the third child is soon to return from their journey.

Umiko is a young man of above average height and weight. He sports a very well built body for his age as a result of his martial training over the years. His figure suggests that of one who is quite athletic and active, and he his rough expression only serves to support this notion. Much to his displeasure, Umiko is best described as having a very feminine aesthetic for a young man. His face is rounded and smooth, with large violet eyes that share a likeness with his mother. thick, prominent lashes are are one of the more noticable features of his face. Aside from a scar underneath his left eye in the shape of a cross, plus a few cuts and bruises here and there, he has quite a fair complexion. His hair is long, passing shoulder length and a light ginger in color. His overgrown bangs frame his face, while the rest of his hair is usually tied up into a long pony tail.

Umiko is usually seen garbed in leather chausses that protect his legs, covered by a pair of loose, silk leggings that are tied to his waste by a belt of cloth. Over this he wears the traditional Shimizu family garb; a large, blue robe that loosely sits on his shoulders. He usually doesn't wear anything on his torso with the robe, but he does wear leather gauntlets over his forearms and hands. On the back of his robe, the Shimizu Twin Dragons has been embroidered into the fabric. His Mark of the Twin Dragons rests along his upper back; depicting two great serpents intertwined with one another during battle.

Personality Umiko Shimizu is a very reserved and quiet person with perhaps a hint of shyness about him. While he is not the type to speak without thinking, he does have a tendency to come off as disinterested or cold when meeting a new person. His nature causes him to be quite calm in everyday life, but make no mistake that he can be very emotional at times. It isn't easy to push his buttons on most things, but he is very sensitive on certain issues. This mostly includes anything regarding the tense situation with his family as well as his own abilities. Umiko is always afraid that he's not good enough, but he doesn't let this fear consume him. The young man is determined to grow in strength and skill, both physically and magically.

Umiko is still very much a child and as such, he can be quite stubborn and resistant of authority. Although this usually doesn't last long, as his father always taught him to respect those with more experience than he. He can be quite immature sometimes, enjoying a good laugh with friends as much as the next person. Yet despite this, he is sure to never cross any lines. He's a responsible young man that is very dedicated to learning.

Umiko has a very tense relationship with his siblings. He and his brother ___________ have a lot of pent up anger and frustration towards each other. Umiko is seen by his brother as a traitor to his Guild and his family for his decision to leave Harpy's Wing and instead join Golem's Hand. In truth, Umiko made the decision out of cowardice. He couldn't bear to be around Harpy's Wing, not with all the painful memories of his late father still echoing through it's halls. His brother is a constant reminder of his own weakness, and the two are always at each others throats on the unfortunately common instance where they meet. Umiko assumes his sister, __________ feels the same way as his brother. It's hard for him to really know, what with her being out in the world discovering her own path.

Magic Specialty Mark of the Sea Dragon
Description Every member of the Shimizu family possesses the Mark of the Twin Dragons. Umiko bears the Mark of the Sea and Sky Dragons, but he is currently only able to access the power of half of his Mark. When fully realised, members of the Shimizu family are able to manifest an aspect of their soul as a spectral dragon that augments them in combat.

Mark of the Sea Dragon | A Sword Magic revolving around the manipulation of water through swordplay. Umiko is able to control any source of water to his command through his sword. If there is no water source available, Umiko can generate a small amount of water around his blade but it’s not as effective. This can be used in a variety of offensive or defensive spells. Additionally, when he unsheathes Suijin he summons forth Susano’o, a spectral Eastern Dragon that is a manifestation of Umiko’s resilience. When Susano’o is present with Umiko, it vastly increases the sharpness of his blade. The blade gains cutting power so potent it can even slice straight through magic. The dragon also acts as an extension of his blade, following the motions of Umiko’s strikes. Those who are struck by the dragon are damaged as if they have been cut by Umiko’s blade.

Umiko still has a long way to go with his training and he still finds controlling Susano’o to be a challenge. He can only keep the blade unsheathed for a short period of time, as Susano’o is very magic hungry and takes a lot of power from Umiko.

Mark of the Sky Dragon Umiko has yet to unleash the second half of his mark. As such, it is unknown what the Mark of the Sky Dragon will offer him.

Known Spells

Supplementary Spells
Water Walking | (Passive) Umiko is able to walk and stand on water as if it were solid ground.

Born of the Sea | (Passive) Umiko can breathe underwater for extremely long periods of time. Additionally, he is able to move much faster in water.

Tidal Journey | Umiko creates a wave of water, riding atop of it in order to move quickly. The wave holds enough force to crush stone and can be devastating if someone were to make contact with it.

Offensive Spells
Urchin Strike | Umiko thrusts his sword forward, sending forth a crushing projectile of water to his target. A simple, quick spell with little power on its own; but multiple casts can weaken opponents quite quickly.

Slicing Wave | Umiko slashes his sword in a direction, sending an arc of cutting water flying towards his target.

Ocean Barrage | Umiko delivers a swift series of strikes against his target, releasing multiple Urchin Strikes in quick succession against his target.

Descent of Susano’o | When Suijin is unsheathed, Umiko gathers a large amount of water around his spectral dragon before delivering an overhead strike against his opponent. Susano’o and all collected water rise above Umiko before crashing down on his victim.

Defensive Spells
Rising Tides | Umiko brings his sword up in a defensive stance, summoning forth a small, yet high pressure wall of water capable of stopping most attacks in their path.

In time, more spells will be learnt.

Main Weapon Oikaze A wakizashi that was given to Umiko on his 10th birthday by his older brother. The blade was specifically forged and named for the young man’s birth mark. Each Shimizu possesses a mark depicting Twin Dragons. Umiko bears the Mark of the Sea Dragon, as well as that of the Sky Dragon.

Whilst Umiko has been unable to call upon the Sky Dragon, Fuujin; he still prefers to wield Oikaze as his primary weapon. The blade is short, but sturdy and he is able to wield it with much more ease than Suijin.
Secondary Weapon Suijin A legendary sword of the Shimizu family. The ancient katana, which is said to have been wielded by the first Shimizu, is forged from the scales of dragons. As such, the blade carries unique magical and physical properties. The blade will never break or dull and it can only be unsheathed by a member of the Shimizu Family.

Even further, the blade shares a special bond with those who possess the Mark of the Sea Dragon. The Suijin blade can be wielded by any member of the Shimizu, but those who possess this mark will be able to call forth the spectral dragon spirit of the sea.

History Umiko was the youngest of the Shimizu children, and his mother died shortly after giving birth to him. While he was too young to really understand, Umiko could feel the sorrow in his families hearts whenever they looked upon him. That was not to say they did not love him, but he was a constant reminder of their beautiful mother. Umiko's father, Ryuji, raised the boy the same way he had raised his other children. He taught him all about discipline, respect and honor. He was a stern yet loving father who would be very strict in making sure Umiko stayed on coarse with his studies while still making time to train him in the art of the sword.

Umiko had a great relationship with his two older siblings when growing up. While it was no secret to anyone that he was the annoying baby brother, the older two enjoyed spending time with him. When he was old enough, Umiko and his siblings would often spend entire days at the crescent lake. They would spar, fish, swim and tell ghost stories before setting up camp for the night. Ryuji would often accompany them when he wasn't busy with Guild work and they would all have a grand time.

As Umiko grew into adolescence, his training started to grow more intense. He liked the challenge, but could be a bit childish in regards to a little friendly rivalry with his siblings. Ryuji had continued to be an upstanding member of Harpy's Wind and there was even talk that he may one day succeed the current Guild Master. However when he was murdered whilst out on a mission by members of a mysterious Dark Guild, those aspirations were shattered. Worse so, Umiko and his siblings were left as orphans.

Everything spiraled from there, and the events that followed have been described in the Shimizu family description. Umiko and his older brother had a falling out, resulting in a battle that left Umiko with his scar. After that, the three siblings went their separate ways. Umiko left Harpy's Wing to become a member of Golem's Hand. The guilds recognition of personal skill and growth seemed like the more ideal place for him to train and seek vengeance for his father. He's been there for about two years now, and still has yet to fit in with most of the other members who still view him as a Harpy.
Other Umiko’s style of fighting is based around swift movements, redirecting the force of attacks against him with fast feet, a stance that flows like water, and his own strength.

I'll fill in the few gaps in the sheet and family info when Rabid and Raijin write up their characters for the family.
