Bio

Guess I should write this thing, huh?

It's me, Citrus Arms. I'm 32 now, married, an aspiring indie game dev, as well as a hobbyist writer. Well, who here isn't one of those. I've been meaning to write a book, but that's a big project and I've yet to finish more than a chapter and a prologue. Plotting a whole book is hard work, man.

I'm open to 1x1s and group RPs, feel free to invite me to something. I'm also part of a discord RP server of an old friend.

My favorite genres are fantasy and space, and I've got an original Universe that blends the two together. It's a post-apocalypse galaxy on the way to recovery, so there's everything from straight fantasy worlds to post-apocalypse survival available within the setting. The universe recovers and grows stronger with unity and inner strength.

She was about to give up. It had been a while... If there had been one, had it already run away? If there had even been one. She was just going on an assumption that there might be. She was considering just going and looking for that Rookidee when she heard Kaebe yelp and thrash about a bit.

When she saw the Joltic attached to her Pokemon, she couldn't help but grin. It had worked! Now to capture it. "Kaebe, use tail whip and smack it on the ground once, then hold it still. Ocul, get ready to jump on it with Struggle Bug, if it tries to get away." She'd be ready with a PokeBall, aware that her little jaw dinosaur might have to struggle against the paralysis. Just the one hit from Kaebe should do it, though she couldn't say she'd ever heard of tail whip being used offensively.

Nice! "Good job, Kaebe. Rest for now." She'd noticed the jolt of energy dancing on his skin. When she checked her Pokedex, it confirmed for her; he was paralyzed. First, though, she better grab her PokeBall. With a glance at get Pokedex, "Oh, 'her'."

The Pokedex told her most things. The things she needed to know, like information on her vitality, and her known moves. Not much strength left, and Kaebe was paralyzed. Well... She had a potion, and the next Pokemon she wanted was a one of those little bluebirds she saw before. The electric type would be excellent.

She remembered something she'd read about Yamper, once. Joltic. Joltic would often feed off of a Yamper's electricity. Weren't they tiny? She scanned her surroundings carefully. Sure couldn't remember specifically how big they were supposed to be...

Could she lure it? "Kaebe, come here, please? I know you're not feeling the best." She turned to the Blipbug on her shoulder, "Ocul, keep an eye out for a Joltic. There might be one around here." Could she lure it over with the electric paralysis of her Tyrunt? If it was here, she hoped it would work.

Yeah, didn't think it would be that easy. The pupper tried to look fierce, but somehow still looked kind of dopey. Maybe it was the general body shape. Just kinda chunky and non-threatening. The sparks it generated while running were the most threatening thing, really. But, it was so slow, she wondered how much momentum it had behind it. Those stubby legs couldn't be good for turning, at any rate. "Ocul. Get him with Struggle Bug when I jump out of the way. Then I'll try to catch him." Her bug nodded to her, and she growled at the Yamper to egg goad it on. She let the it get close and

Kaebe tackled the poor unsuspecting thing from the side! "Ruuunt!"

"Oh. Ok." Sure. Kaebe's getting decently strong, so maybe it would be good to go right for the pokeball, if he's the one who got a shot in. So she did. She tossed a PokeBall at the probably surprised and confused Yamper, figuring she might have to apologize later for Kaebe blindsiding it. Kaebe, meanwhile, took a protective stance on front of Stella.

Stella was breaking to have a meal with her Pokemon. They'd battled a few wild Pokemon by now, and she'd made some keen observations of the Pokemon around her, like which ones were less common. Which ones seemed stronger. She'd make an effort to catch a Rookidee at some point, but there had been something else she'd noticed.

She finished eating quickly and looked around. She'd seen them around this route, so she was glad she came this way. They looked so adorable and fluffy, with their big, puffy fur mantle around the neck, and that big, dopey smile.

Ocul crawled up her arm to the top of her head as she looked about, wondering what she was looking for. Kaebe was savoring his food.

"Oh, Ocul. I'm looking for that dog Pokemon we've seen. You know the one, right?" The bug gave a chirp in response, lightly tugging a lock of Stella's hair to get her to look in his intended direction.

She looked, and smiled, "yes, that one!"

A Yamper, rolled over on his back and sunning.

"What a cutie~, let's make friends." She did it once... Could she do it again? Maybe Ocul could help her, or maybe they'd end up with another battle. She approached the electric dog casually, stopping at a respectable distance. "Hello~"

She was ready to move. Cute or not, this was a wild Pokemon, and not so wimpy as a Blipbug.

The shot was a nice addition to the morning. To blend in better, Aiko didn't tend to do such things, At some point, it had occured to Aiko that they would be going higher. The sunlight would be brighter and more annoying. Hmn. They didn't normally put themselves in a position where they had to deal with a lot of sunlight, so their skin was extra sensitive. As luck would have it, one of the shops on the street had some of their merchandise on display outside, prices marked. Aiko fished an appropriate amount from his pouch, grabbed one, and slapped his payment down on the counter before running off with his purchase to keep up with his companions. Maybe he would have to find something a little sturdier, this one seemed replaceable. It would do for now.

The ride was pleasant, though they could feel the presence of Solaris grow stronger with the altitude. He was grateful that he got the parasol. Apparently, the next ride would cost? Tsk, if only they weren't trying so hard to blend in. They could just fly on their own power.

Ah well. Upon landing, Aiko spread their parasol, to spare his body the sting of the strong starlight. Yuka was eager to discuss plans for moving on, but Orias made another compelling argument. A find balance between stocky dwarves and beautiful yet magically sensitive river fae.

Not that dwaeves were unattractive, just that... Their conventions were not... conventional. Stuck out like a sore thumb among the races. The thing that threw Aiko the most was the appeal of their bearded women. They were accustomed to beastkin ideas of beauty. It was in the dreams they were surrounded with, and the waking reality in which they lived.

"He's right. Let's make some friends while we're here." Aiko smiled softly, catching a nearby worker gently, "hey, what's the latest, friend? It's good we were able to find our way up here, it's starting to smell mighty dangerous."

She'd heard tales of trainers capturing Pokemon without a battle, but it had always also sounded dubious or made up. Would someone think the same if she told them this story? She picked up get PokeBall, still pretty proud of herself for charming a Pokemon into her roster. Not that she had intended it.

"Seems like you've made a friend, after all, Kaebe." It might be a struggle to train the struggle bug. Doubles combat was a thing, right? Maybe she should train them together... She considered a few ideas while she stared at her new Blipbug's ball. "Did you like giving a ride earlier? Let's get the two of you better acquainted. Ocul, say hello to your teammate." She opened the ball and let him out.

The Blipbug named Ocul emerged and took a look around. That had been an interesting experience. Not uncomfortable, but certainly strange. Ocul turned to look at Stella, before facing his new "teammate". Ah, yes, this frightening creature. Kaebe regarded the bug for a moment before turning around and laying out, offering out his tail.

"Tyrunt."

Ocul hesitated before approaching, and climbing up on Kaebe's back. The ancient Pokemon got up and started to trot around happily, with a light passenger on his back.

Stella smiled softly at the two. This would be good teamwork training, right? Sure. They can play together while she goes to the pokemart. "Alright, you two. Come along, and don't cause too much fuss."

She'd buy herself a potion, maybe two before leading her pair out to one of the routes. Running around, battling wild Pokemon inside the city to train seemed like a quick way to make people-Pokemon relations very tense.

That hasn't knocked it out. Most targets would lose consciousness to the full-body pain from that technique. The body and mind would react, convinced of a terrible wound. "You're rather tenacious. And smart enough to talk to each other." This was her rescue target, right? Pain wasn't doing it, and one seeing through her sword to realize it was only pain, and not wounds, was a serious disadvantage to her.

It would be best to stop their fight. She was losing ground to stand on and would have to up her ante, unless she could reason with these... Two? Beasts? "I'm not here to fight you, and if you can talk to each other, maybe you can understand me. I'm here to rescue you, y'know? How about you calm down, and we fight off these poachers together? I really would rather not have to get rough with you..." She sheathed her sword, slowly. Somehow, her presence felt more threatening. She did not initiate, but would wait to counter. "C'mon, now. You've got someone to go back to, haven't you?"

A crash behind her, some sound she couldn't recognize, grabbed her attention and she turned, to see a chunk of ground missing. A soft groan escaped her, she worked hard to reverse things like that...

Oh dear. Had she just sentenced the professor to some terrible fate? "I really couldn't have asked for a battery opportunity. To have a living ancient Pokemon to study is a dream come true, I'm very thankful to him. Please don't destroy him over this."

She looked over to see the little bug Pokemon, surprised to see it approaching then. "Oh, and it seems you've made a friend somehow." She looked at the Tyrunt in her lap, at least glad we was the personable sort. She had the feeling she lucked out, in that regard. Maybe because of how he was born, and what that meant for his experience growing up? Always around people, never in the wild. Of course he'd turn out like a puppy...

Speaking of a puppy, Kaebe had gotten up and was approaching the little bug, but much more slowly this time. He sniffed, and then gave the bug a lick.

"Kaebe, give the poor thing some space, come on now." She leaned forward and wrapped an arm around her excitable puppy, slowly bringing him back to her side. She then placed a PokeBall in front of the Blipbug, smiling softly, "you seem like you want to come with me? Or maybe you just want to say hi. I don't mean to be presumptuous, but you must have had a compelling reason to come out from hiding."

It was early, but Yuka's antics were refreshing. Or perhaps it was her ambiance. Whatever the case, Aiko was appreciative of her presence. The past couple of days had them in a funk without them really realizing, but they were starting to feel a little better.

"Yes, I don't suppose I'll be back for a while. Hmm.. no, I don't need anything." Aiko picked up a napkin from a table and approached Yuka, taking her hand a wiping it for her. "No, I don't sprout wings, sorry." A careful half-truth. Their shape shifting was, in fact, limited.

He leaned back on the bar, "hey, boss. You can pack my things up, if you need the room. I'm going to get out of the city for a while." There wasn't anything important to grab, and nothing embarrassing for the man to have to touch. Mostly just some clothes. He left the napkin on the counter.

"I suppose they probably leave it alone because it's a pain to get to. Wouldn't you?" Ah, but if they kept talking, they'd never go anywhere. "Since we're all in agreement, let's go." The fox moved to the door, peeking out for anything strange before waiting to open it for his companions. On to a place with, hopefully, a better pick of dreams to sup from.
