Sorry for my absence! A Volunteering position suddenly turned into a Volunteer Leadership position I was not expecting at all so things have been hectic.

Look at you posers, having to bang dragons or sell your soul for magic when you could just play a lute for some. Anyways, here's Wonderwall. - Bards

@ClocktowerEchosDamn, can you help me which map we use?
There are two different maps and with different allocation of nations in it. I can't really craft a detailed theme for my nation without at least knowing:
- What environment I'll be starting in
- What nations I'll be fighting the foremost

With at least those I can invent the rest.
For now my idea is basically this:

Golden Horde: An emerging empire from distant lands ruled by the iron grip of the Uruk (black orcs). They are mongol-like formerly nomadic nation which is now infamous for their raids and conquest. Their territory is less united and more like a collection of small countries united by their subservience to the Uruk Empire. Humans, elves, dwarves and more exotic races alike fight along with the Uruk and form the dreaded Golden Horde. As such their equipment varies though the army as a whole has a near-religious preference to gunpowder. Your average Uruk warrior is a gun-wielding warg-riding agile cavalry, often seen in raids.

The one in the OP is the current map, it should be sorta like an island.

My issue with the Golden Horde is the fact that it is mixed races lead by notOrks. You are going to have to give me a very damn well impressive backstory and reason as to why anyone would want to be remotely near notOrks much less fight with them. It goes without saying that in this setting Dwarves aren't too keen on Orruks and their related cousins, Elves would be too arrogant or simply don't trust them and most humans would just be to afraid to be near them when the notOrks are hungry and have a weapon in hand. Also, notOrks aren't exactly known for excellent gunsmithing skills for anything other than a giant crude shotgun in my mind.

In short, this idea has about a 90% of just not being allowed with the remaining 10% open in the case you do want to try and write something impressive up to change my mind.
@POOHEAD189 Beyond formatting stuff you are okay although I would like it all to be put in a hider as to not clog up Chars space. We'll discuss dwarven magic sometime soonish.
No one caught onto the Kirito yet? If you can't figure it by the day's end, I'll post my cosplay upskirts. Please don't make me shame myself, it's a lot more simple than you might think!

Is it the fact that its not actually Kirito but someone named Noya the Faceless Bastard whose Breaker (<<Smoking Mirror>>) allows him to copy the appearance and impersonate them with remarkable likeness so long as they are not dead?

I guess we can just view it in a realistic light. It would depend on who is capable of using the underground effectively. Dwarfs and Vermin could because they're short and can see in the dark and are used to it, being native to underground. And Orruks because they have no self preservation and are infested everywhere. If you wanted Beastman or men to or some such other, they'd just need attributes or reasoning to use it, or have a long background of using it (at least to survive. I'd think there'd be trolls and monsters and other underground races like ours down there to contend with). That's all speculation though. It's your RP my friend :D

Just trying to add some more variety into possible battlefields here

@Theodorable I take it I'll be getting rolls soon?
@ClocktowerEchos Its not even that I have rocket ships. The ships I would attack with would literally be the transport ships they brought across from the Motherland with a load of Firecracker artillery strapped to the top. It wasn't designed for that purpose, but creativity, ya know? XD

I do like the creativity aspect but again, why wouldn't there be hostile ships trying to counter such a thing?
@Vocab Your idea of rocket ships is okay so long as the person you're targeting is okay with it. Although it would be highly unrealistic that there would be no ships to oppose your's or you only having rocket ships and transports wouldn't it?
<Snipped quote by ClocktowerEchos>

Eh, I have a bit of a problem with that; sure, we can pretend nobody's heard of a warship before, but it would also be incredibly unrealistic to write it out entirely. It might not be the focus, but it doesn't have to get wiped to nonexistence. If a war hinges on nation X sending an army to nation Y, and the best way is to use ships, what then? Is the enemy supposed to sit back on its hands and watch them sail in, saying "Oh well, too bad we never thought of putting guns and soldiers on ships before!"

My problem is that we're roleplaying in a narrative, text-based format, and trying to constrain it to a Total War-esque game doesn't work well. Yes, we can describe different units and give rough outlines of spells, but in a loose narrative - much like real life - these things are arbitrary and can vary. A video game has a block of identical spearmen, because it is designed with absolutes in mind, yet a real unit might be short a few spears, or have some swordsmen from a weakened detatchment, and they could all have varying degrees of armor.

In short, trying to impose hard, videogame-style absolutes contradicts with a format that is open-ended and revolves around narrative.

I'm not saying that no one has ever heard of a boat IC, I'm saying the main focus of the RP isn't on naval combat.

If you two can agree on some format for navies and get a few more people to approve of it, I'll make it official and the people who want it can go off and enjoy their bathtub wars. I am in no mood for a debate like this and thus so long as you and @Vocab prove to me you actually want it and have the drive to try and make something out of it yourselves then by all means please do.

Is this fair to you guys?
@Vocab Only if you actually post. All I'm going to say that as of right now, the main emphasis of the RP is on armies not navies.

Depending on how far this RP gets I might to some stuff and allow for navies and properly naval stuff but for now focus on posts involving land armies.

@POOHEAD189@TemplarKnight07 I just had a random thought stemming from this but what are your stances on having other people being able to use the Underground? Is it something just Rodents/Dwarves/Orruks can use or can everyone use it?
