"Dunno for sure Amy, saw Stryker heading off with a datapad earlier, but not clear if there are any more on board. I gotta head back upstairs but I could take a look around later for ya"

The case to his MARS rifle in hand, Grayson bid a quick farewell and made the quick trip back upstairs to the armory. As he was getting access through the biometric scan, he noticed a cleverly hidden shutter on the door. Inside at the desk, he found a control panel that allowed him to lock and unlock the door, open the shutter concealing a small window port, presumably to see who was asking to get in. It even had a function that allowed him to lock down the display cases.

"Alliance must be really big on safety first" he observed to no one. Deciding to leave the door unlocked and the shutter open, Grayson set down the rifle case and flipped up the top to find the compact shape of his favorite weapon. The weapon reacted to his touch, morphing in his hands from a misshapen rectangle to it's standard sniper configuration. He fetched some tools from the workbench, took his seat and got to work on cleaning and tuning up the weapon. Later, he'd check the inventory to see if there was a spare graviton-field emitter and try to attach it to the MARS. He'd feel more comfortable using his own weapon than some pre-fab Alliance trash with a fancy toy being all that made it 'mission-essential'

"Not a problem lass, and yes indeed, give us a shout if ya need anything else"

Grayson wandered off to the restroom, deciding to drain his bladder while he was close by. The door slid open and Grayson's eyes were blinded by the sheer glare of the light reflecting off the polished steel... everything. He took a minute to let his eyes adjust, and took a better look around than when he'd poked his head in earlier. Three stalls sat directly across from him, to his left a couple shallow sinks, and beyond them, at the far end of the room, stood another line of stalls, noticeably wider. Through the slightly ajar middle door, he could see a small bench, and at the back of the stall, the sliding glass door of a shower.

'Spacious' He thought 'Definitely takin' a closer look at them later'

Getting back to the task at hand, Grayson made for the rightmost stall, took care of business, and headed back, stopping just long enough to run some water over his hands. As he passed by Amy's room, he heard a muffled shout of 'Motherfuckers!'

He paused. Thinking it best to check in, he tapped lightly on the door.
"Alright there mate?"
@Dark Light@Rultaos Yeah, they're still a little cozy, considering 2 bunks and a desk take up a fair amount of floor space, but they're still roughly 10 feet wide/15 deep each.
@Dark Light Extremely fair point. Part of the problem there I completely underestimated how much space was on the right, especially once the elevator was placed down. I figured the elevator needed to be consistent across the decks, once it was placed I realized, I was already on the left edge of the graph and couldn't extend it further, so I worked with the space I had, the common area is meant to be extremely large, considering that the average crew when it was an Alliance warship would've been 25 at the minimum. I didn't realize in the moment, but viewing it now, it seems like the perspective is a bit skewed on both decks, things get larger the further right you go, so with that taken into account, I guess the quarters/bathrooms are larger than the floorplan would imply, given that, from the outside, the crew deck appears slightly longer than the command deck. Thankfully for us all, I'm not an architect irl. I'd go in to fix it up a bit, maybe even reposition the elevator/stairway ahead a bit, but, genius that I am, I didn't save the raw file, just the jpeg image, and I don't think I can import it back onto the floor planner.

@Xandrya
It's probably been an hour at this point, once everyone finishes up their current interactions, I'll likely jump us ahead a few hours.

In other news, the floor plan for the top 2 decks is nearly complete. Hopefully, within the hour I'll throw it up on imgur and link it for everyone to check out!
@Xandrya

"This won't take but a minute" Grayson said as they exited the elevator, guiding Amy with his voice "So from here, you just hang a left turn, mind the corner there, I guess you'll wanna keep your hand up to feel your way through, so just a few steps down, you'll come to the first door, odd numbered rooms on the left, even on the right, so number 3, 103, whatever you'd prefer, second door to your left, bag's right alongside it ok?"

He set her stuff down and watched as the blind girl made her way along the hall. He figured it was best to keep jabbering, give her something to follow.
"So, I think all the rooms are the same, two bunks, with storage compartments underneath 'em, desk at the back, I'm two doors down from ya, room 7, and right at the end of the hall are two doors leadin' to the restrooms, the women's is to the right. I wouldn't assume much of some of these savages we have aboard, but I would assume they'll at least offer you ladies the respect of privacy and dignity. That's about it I reckon, so you good?"
@Simple Unicycle Ok sounds good! Just let us know when you're ready to join in!

@Banana Actually, between the 3 of us, we've got enough pilot skills to properly utilize the shuttles too, this could work out very nice!

@Xandrya Yeah linguist could work, especially if we ever do anything closer to espionage, with code-breaking and the like, I say go for it!

@Dark Light Yeah, the medic is MIA. I don't know if anyone else has really stepped forward to take an engineering/mechanic position? I've got SAL down there now, keeping an eye on things, but yeah, there's not a whole lot of non-combat roles to fill on the ship
@Dark Light 1- Yup, I figured I'd mentioned that somewhere before, but there are a pair of bunks in the cockpit that fold out from the wall, in case the pilot (or as I guess will be the case moving forward, pilots) need a quick nap. That little stairway icon is meant to be ladders, so the bunks are down out of the way in a little lower area. The cockpit layout was inspired by Firefly when I was thinkin' it up.

2- Damn labourers indeed, they forgot to put a door in the cockpit as well. So henceforth anyone entering or exiting the cockpit need to crawl through the vents

3- I haven't seen anyway to add text yet. Push comes to shove, I could probably import the image to paint and label it using the text tool there without screwin' it up too bad. The circle is meant to be the war room, though in a finalized version it'd probably be more so in the center so there's a hallway to walk around on either side of it, and a second door to accommodate the extra hallway.

For reference in this rough version, from the cockpit back, we've got 6 gunner seats (might be upgraded to 10 if I can lengthen the ship out a bit more) then the emergency ladder, the war room, the stairs and elevator, armory, med bay opposite, toilet, doctor's study opposite captain's quarters, ladder to forward battery opposite.

And hopefully that clears everything up! I'm doubtful I'll have time to sit down and do a more complete version of this, plus the other 3 floors, tomorrow, but sunday/monday for sure
@BKburke

"At ease" Stryker commanded, he checked the drone's operating code, seemed normal. Seeing as they were Alliance 'bots, Stryker thought to address them in a way they'd be familiar "Currently en route to enemy outpost at System comma Zargos. Further orders upon arrival in t-minus-11 hours. Until that time, you are to remain operational, clear? Squadron Commander AP-772 follow me for a pre-mission briefing upload"

@Xandrya@Dark Light

"Well Amy, nice to meet ya, we haven't formally met, I slipped out of the war room just as you were bein' brought in. Name's Grayson" He began to extend a hand, but stopped himself just in time. He
"So, you need a hand with that? Your stuff I mean?"
