Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

If you do end up going with the western spot, don't feel at all obliged to relinquish that island colony we had in common. It would be a good plot device.
Well Willy, we could always join forces to steal all of Clock's islands.

Ironically three of the four nations so far are in that general region, so we might have already created that Europe situation you just described.
Well, it looks like we both claim and are trying to colonize the same island chain. This will lead to some conflicts, I'm sure.
Here is my new and improved map. Since this one is more permanent I went along and marked the capital. I also labelled some of the landforms in Tin so that I don't have to just say 'that big desert' and such.

I'll update my signature then.
Yup. And I imagine having an archipelago full of angry and suppressed natives would give other nations an excellent way to try sabotaging Tin. Arm the people over there, point them out the Tinite colonists that they outnumber, and laugh as the Sultan has to send an entire army to try reclaiming control of the islands.
Alright, how about redrawing the borders to just include that range of mountains separating the mainland from the tail?

I'd like to keep the islands unless someone else specifically wants them.

I recall you saying that you might allow one China blob. Well, I'll ask for that honor.

Can I have this land?

I realize that's an absolutely massive sized country and would be willing to relinquish large swathes of it if we run low on space (or if you just see it as too much) but the idea is that Tin would have a ton of land, but it would be relatively poor and sparsely populated land. Steppes, deserts, mountains, plains, badlands. Not an abundance of water or resources in most regions, leaving them useful for little except ranching. It makes sense considering the history I plan to write for my nation, because I intend for the Tinites to be the settled (and slightly civilized) ancestors of nomadic pastorialists.

And by the way, the archipelago with the lines through it is meant to represent a claimed land in the process of colonization. I figured oppressing the natives would give me something to write about. If anybody else wants that island, I could give it up because I don't want it that badly.
I can imagine Ialu cursing Greg with insanity and nightmares, causing much hot coffee to be spilled and entire kingdoms to crumble due to landslides.

Yeah, I've played Europa Universalis a fair amount. I like Crusader Kings 2 and the Total War games too. I have an interest in ancient and medieval history and warfare, and that bleeds through into my choice of RPs and video games.

On the topic of history between our nations, we may as well talk about it here to bump the thread so that hopefully others find their way in. I'll fill out more of my sheet when I get home as I figure more information will make this easier, but how do you feel that our nations' relations should be? Whether you'd prefer to have a vengeful enemy at your throat from the beginning, a mostly neutral neighbor, or a steadfast ally will determine what type of history we should make. Since battles are fun to write out and I have a rather hostile nation, I lean towards our nations being rivals if not enemies, but I'm not opposed to something else.
