Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

Thanks for the input.

To answer your question, I was thinking that we'd start in a small, relatively crappy dungeon. A cave or something. Then maybe conquer a castle, and take up residence there. Then maybe a town, then a city, and so on... As this went on, certain people that prove their loyalty might be given subordinates or even armies to command. With that added responsibility might come shiny treasure, a little dungeon of their own, or whatever else would motivate that particular character. On the other hand, those that fail the Dungeon Keeper repeatedly might get punished by demotions or short stays in the jail/torture pit.

Of course, all of that is subject to change but I'm pretty sure we'll have something like that as a reward system and change of scenery/visible progression as the RP goes on.
When I said create a plot and iron out details I meant something more along the lines of figuring out what the Dungeon Keeper will be like, what the rules will be, where this will take place...

Basicallly I'm wondering if I should make the interest check very detailed. On the one hand I can ses why someone would be reluctant to express interest in a really vague idea, but on the other hand if me just going and figuring out everything on my own would be ideal.

@BBeast

Would you want to be a Co-GM? If you don't that's perfectly understandable, but I figured I'd extend the offer since the two of us ran this RP.

Be sure to drop a link here for that, to make sure we don't miss it. :)

Will do!

@BBeast

That's a rather thorough analysis, and one that I agree with. I've been over on the nations section and I almost exclusively play nation RPs, and given my experience personally I'm skeptical that the nation section would be any better. It might even be worse.

I suppose I could control both the good guys and the Keeper.

What I'd like to get your opinions on is whether I should take the time to figure out a plot and iron out the major details before making the interest check, or just make it as the vague idea that we have so far and see what the majority of interested people want. I see benefits to both sides.

XD I forgot about it!

Ya, I'll get that done by the day after tomorrow. Promise!

Don't feel bad or obligated to make promises, I was just pulling your chain :P

In other news, I noticed that your military section hasn't been started yet, and mine is also lacking. Since our nations are military allies and share technology/sell weapons to one another, I was thinking that perhaps we would have mostly the same types of tanks, guns, artillery, etc. Want to work on that together?

I'm afraid I don't follow. What do you mean?

Your history for KalMea has been in the works for weeks lol
My post is also in the works.

Prepare, Cyclone.

Dat history tho

:P
@Willy Vereb

Of course Tin is going to be mad that their little slaves workers and potential converts are running into the hands of a rival, presumably to join said rival's army.

And just wait and see what they do in response once that begins to happen. Sanjar Khan will hatch a rather clever plan.
@Willy Vereb

I find it interesting that Yllendthyr would object to mistreatment of the native humans, considering that the elven overlords sort of have an apartheid state going on. In any case, I just wondered because what I said is most likely going to happen. I can't see Babur being spineless or passive when it comes to the Zanjir; he's going to try to get those islands in a vice grip, which means sending in more soldiers to maintain order and occupying/building forts in the islands that the Tinites haven't landed on yet.
@Hael

I briefly mention in my sheet that:

1) Tin doesn't really like immigrantion in general, but they DO often hire foreign workers to temporarily stay.
2) Ajdar converts have a decent shot at being allowed in, but for the most part Tin doesn't like taking in huge waves of immigrants. Unless the converts are fleeing from something really bad, Tin probably wouldn't let them move in by the thousands, at least not all at once.
3) About 99% of Tin's recognized citizens are ethnic Tinites. (Granted, this still means 2.5 million people of other ethnicities, and Kallabis would probably make up the majority of these).
4) Most large cities have at least some minority races, but they tend to congregate into small neighborhoods and communities and keep to themselves.

So there would be some Kallabs living in Tin permanently, probably dominated by those in KalMea that talked to the Tinites and ended up converting to Ajdar. There would be a lot more foreigners there simply to work for a while, with these people probably being exclusively from KalMea, Ventium, and Dong Wei as these are the only nearby nations that don't hate Tin.
My nation has almost no real diversity or immigrants

...admittedly, that does speak volumes about how it's just a shitty place to live.
