Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

I can recall at least 5 attempts at this RP that I was a part of, with one being successful and lasting a year or two and another one doing quite well before the Guild crashed and burned. I'm growing reluctant to try essentially the same thing for a sixth time. That being said, I'll consider it.

On Tuesday I should have more time. I'll try to remember to start an interest check then.
@Genni

Actually, that's a really good idea...

Would anybody here be interested in it? With it being summer, I can spare the time to start an RP like that if there's interest.
I'm not sure if I made it clear how much Tin hates the very idea of Democracy. They'll probably be trying to start some sory of Feudal Devolution across the world
@Lugubrious

I think we wait too long before settingg the plot in motion. Too sandboxy of an RP to appeal to the people on RPGuild, I suppose.

In other news, Hael told me about that Divinus RP and how it might later open to more people. I might join you guys there in the event that it does.
@Genni

This RP seems pretty dead, unfortunately.
@Willy Vereb

Shifting the topic a bit, how eould Yllendthyr feel if Tin suddenly sent a few hundred thousand more men into the Zanjir as reinforcements, then rushed to establish control over the few remaining unoccupied islands?

And then what would they do if Tin's violence was enough to drive hordes of starving, terrified native refugees across the border to your islands?
@Cyclone I always put you as early china, High population, strong culture, industrializing.

You actually nailed one of my more obscure inspirations. Tin's militaristic Ajdar Temple is based off China's Taoist Temple.
Aren't they always?

/just got home. gonna go collapse on my couch now

I say no, because there are plenty of corrupt officials who come into office out of greed or hunger for power, making little if any attempt to justify it and just causing harm to everbody.
@Hael

Hah, I was just thinking than Tin was like Japan. The really deep rooted traditions and culture coinciding with recent modernization, the Sultan/Emperor being arguably an alright guy but unable to do any good, because the nation was basically transformed into a war machine that can't be turned off. Too many bloodthirsty warlords, a culture that wouldn't simply accept world peace, etc...

I don't really think Tin is like Nazi Germany.

Hitler thought what he was doing was right, you know. But it clearly wasn't

Mhm. Similar situation here. The difference being that I think Babur is a bit more sane and cautious (for the most part; he does have a nasty temper) but make no mistake, like Tin as a whole he is still most likely going to prove to be a menace to most of the world.
