Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

Word of my splendor:

Ialu (I think that's what I'll call him; any thoughts on that name?) would probably accept a challenge of personal combat out of pure arrogance. That is, unless he gets humbled along the way of his ascent.

He wouldn't play fair, though. He would come with some sort of treachery planned or trick up his sleeve, and using that he would try to beat the Kraken at its own game. That's probably Ialu's great weakness: he can't turn down a challenge. It will be rough for him.
@Hael

Armadyl is the one-dimensional idiot that I hate most of all. It's not even like they had to work with previous lore like with Zamorak. We knew almost nothing about Armadyl, and they just decide to make him an oversized do-good bird that is god of justice. Whoopee.
@Hael

How would Undasis even know until it's too late? :P But back to the important topic:

They tried to make Zamorak not just the one-dimension evil guy that he once was. They failed miserably. Literally every single one of his followers (vampyres, werewolves, Kinshra, Mahjarrat, Butcher Demons, etc.) are unfathomably evil and all the lands that he controls turn into crap. Oh, and he also kind of blew up half of the entire map.

The people that want a pure evil god should have harkened to Bandos. He was both cool and unapologetically evil.

I always felt sort of bad for Guthix. Screw Silske. He's basically the internet troll of Gods

Anyway, any type of ascension to Godhood that involves stealing something from the God's (god-blood, or perhaps something from the Astral plane) will invariably be super-interesting.

I was a Guthix fan long before it was cool. Even back when they only had Sara, Zammy, and Guthix, and all were one-dimensional characters, I still have the Guthix altar in my damn house. But at the same time, Sliske has to be my favorite character, with Bandos a close second.
Vestec may even help you if you play nice enough with what he wants.

As a chaos god I'd imagine that Vestec would appreciate a god of pride and envy. Those two faults, combined with ambition and a disregard for others, would probably amount to a lot of chaos.

The Staff of Armadyl! Almighty Zamorak, God of Chaos, impaling the Empty Lord! You just brought back so many memories at that mention.

I was thinking that since the hole down to the center of the Earth that Escre created has specifically been stated to be accessible for mortals, that might play in...

This reminds me of when I used to play RuneScape. In the lore, if a mortal manages to slay a god or sometimes simply steal a godly artifact (both incredibly difficult, needless to say) they become a god themselves.
The lion looks more like a good guy. The tiger is more savage and scary looking, but that's just my thoughts. Either would work.
Well I know that the Mongols are supposed to be the only exceptions, ever...

...but can I maybe start as a mortal (a really ambitious one) and eventually jump to demigod or even god status without the help of a god, by starting as a mortal and then eventually trying to contact Fate or Invictus? Or perhaps by somehow tricking Escre (the god that tries to prevent mortals from becoming gods) and stealing power from him.

Just creative ideas of mine. Yeah, if that gets rejected then I lean towards being created by Vestec or Saron.
My post is roughly half done.
