Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

Word of my splendor:

I'm away from home at the moment. Since everyone seems to be making characters I'll make a standard sheet as soon as I can. It shouldn't be too hard for those who already made sheets to tweak them to be close enough. Tomorrow I'll see about making a map and some other cool stuff, and then I'll assess whether we're ready to make the actual thread yet.
I was going to just lump mortals under ambition, a portfolio under emotion. Maybe as it went on I could add a specific domain for mortals to increase my power? I don't know but I have a long while to figure all of this out.

So...does that mean you like it? I kinda got distracted with the bit about donut-Police :P

Yeah, I think I'll roll with it. It falls nicely with ambitions. I'll be a Zamorak-esque (eyes dart back and forth looking for whip) guy that likes followers that are ambitious and try to gain power for themselves.

So I guess so far I have figured out that emotions can be a domain and pride, envy, and ambition as portfolios. I noticed that most people started with only one portfolio (I'm guessing that's a precedent that is expected) but in my case I don't particularly see a problem with those 3. In my view, pride and envy are at least as big of handicaps as they are boons.

Emotion, maybe?

If you descend from a mortal, perhaps you can become the God of Mortals or Lesser Beings? Doesn't sound very impressive, sure, but it would be pretty powerful when screwing with other's creations or in fighting where mortals are used. It could be incredibly useful if you play your cards right and plan well, I think.

Idea is in my shopping bag and out the store's door, stolen. The police are all at the donut convention, they can't chase me down :P
Imagine an incredibly evil, diabolical voice saying, "Go forth, Emily and Tinkerhel! Slay them all: let the widows wail and the blood flow in rivers. No survivors!"

I can't do it with a straight face
Speaking of domains and portfolios, where would pride, envy, and ambition even fall? I saw in the OOC that fear is specifically given as an example which made me figure that other emotions would work. But I'm now realizing that these can't be easily categorized and I have no idea what powers they would even entail.

I might just go with another concept.
You guys calling me crazy?

1 Might: Creating huge landmasses or oceans; or stars and planets
Dat OP

It looks like something got changed along the way in the OP, because that little tidbit is still there.

Yeah I thought that levels weren't everything, it's just Hael made it sound like they were. In any case I'll have Ialu fight the Kraken or literally anybody else that challenges him directly. Even if he gets curb-stomped every time, he'll still keep showing up out of arrogance thinking that the next time will be his lucky one.
Great to see so much interest!

Man I hope its ok if i tag along for this rp, sounds hellllllla fun.

Yeah man, welcome aboard! I have no intentions of limiting how many people can join unless it gets to the point where we can't keep track any more.

Yes. I am so in. I could have a necromancer in the group. For that special evils.

YAAAAS. For whatever reason, I was really hoping that someone would make a necromancer. This wouldn't be complete without one.

It's a masculine Egyptian name. I don't particularly think that it sounds feminine if you pronounce it sharply (ee-all-oo) but that's just me. It literally translates to "field of dreams", so if I go with the dream concept rather than pride I'll definitely choose it.

Are levels the only thing that determine the outcome of a fight? What would happen if you just spent 5 might to hurl a fireball or something at another god? That's enough power to create 5 planets, so I imagine it'd do something horrific

And speaking of might, I find it strange that one point can either create an entire planet or a mere continent. Some other things seem disproportional, too.
