Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

@KabenSaal

I'm against having a strict posting order. I'll mostly let this just go naturally and allow people to post as they like. As in for the pace, it will probably slow down soon. Most new RPs have an explosion of posts and then slow a bit.
@Athinar

He'd have to move fast. When I posted for you I sent him to the outskirts to round up the fleeing people since there wasn't much else to do. He's probably safe from whatever is about to happen, but he's also a fair ways away from Emily.
Well the excuse of elves supporting the terrorist rebels is a good one. Besides that, Tin is willing to repay the favor later or offer a piece of the conquered land, some money, lucrative trade deals, etc.

They'll discuss terms when this meeting happens.

It is still nothing compared to Ferghus' work. >:(

Ferghus must feel pretty worthless with nobody coming to him for special weapons :P

Would he be willing to eventually help out Ialu, though? I was thinking about having him go to Ferghus for a weapon worthy of a god once he reaches demigod status.
It's a combination of goading Yllendthyr and also making it look as if he actually tried diplomacy. Did you catch that he's summoned 3 other nations to discuss the Zanjir situation? Saying that he tried diplomacy with Yllendthyr and that it failed miserably (naturally, not saying what the letter or its contents were) is something of a prerequisite to getting any support. Why would other nations agree to offer diplomatic or military support if Tin hadn't even tried 'discussing' this with Yllendthyr first?

Tin wouldn't be surprised if they found out that the PRK was responsible for the bombings and native uprisings, but that front has been relatively cool for years and they probably don't see why the PRK would care about a few islands halfway across the world. Tin is obviously going to blame the elves for arming the natives unless their investigation finds anything to prove otherwise, because who else has a presence nearby and who else would stand to gain anything from it? The fact that they don't have mithril weaponry doesn't matter because they wouldn't expect the elves to be so stupid as to supply them with stuff that could be so easily traced back.

I don't see why you're objecting that this situation is all that absurd. In any case, I did it mainly as an IC move to escalate tensions like we agreed OOC. Next up will come the waves of refugees and the thing with Tin's embassy in Yllendthyr that we discussed via PM a while ago. The combination of those 3 things in addition to Tin icnreasing military presence in the Zanjir would be enough to spark the war we want.

I'm also intentionally giving you a lot of dirt to use against Tin, so that Yllendthyr can go to their allies and make this look like they're the reasonable ones that were attacked by a crazy theocracy for no reason.
The Treaty of Tordesillas allowed Portugal to claim the entirety of Brazil when they only had a few cities along the coastline, for instance. Similarly, Tin's logic is, "We claimed those islands, we started colonizing them, and then Yllendthyr swooped in and grabbed part before we could get there!"

Tin is like a North Korea that actually has enough power to be taken seriously. Nobody is going to stop Babur from sending a letter.

It will probably have the effect of making Yllendthyr fortify, yes, but Tin is about to do the same thing. When the elves see this they'd sen in more troops letter or not.

Keep in mind that Babur also blames the elves for arming the natives and inciting rebellion. He feels compelled to get them out, and soon.
They know that you won't cede the territory, I even said that in my post.

As in for downright ridiculous, there have been plenty of absurd claims throughout history. Just look at the Treaty of Tordesillas. Not to mention thay Tin is rather ridiculous ad well.
Athinar acknowledged the little kobold giving orders with only a grunt. He gave a quick thanks to the one that had summoned horses, then mounted one. The animal buckled a little bit beneath the weight of Athinar's massive body, but it would be fine. Already having begun to ride off, he cried, out, "I'll move to secure the barns and granaries."

Without another word, he then rode hard for one of the barns first. Meeting no opposition during the few minutes that it took to get there, he dismounted the summoned horse and then threw the doors open. Stepping inside the barn, he quickly examined the livestock inside. Two dairy cows, a bull, a half dozen goats...but hat was he to do with them? The mighty Athinar was no animal wrangler. He supposed that he would just have to stand guard outside and make sure that the animals didn't go anywhere and that none of the wilder beings on his side burned the barn down.

That was when he heard it: shallow, ragged breaths. A pounding heartbeat. Athinar stepped further into the barn and looked back to see him; a peasant boy had been hiding behind the door the whole time. With a cold grin, Athinar stepped forward and delivered a mighty blow to the screaming boy's head. He wasn't sure if it had been the punch or simply sheer terror that had left the boy unconscious, but it didn't really matter. Athinar dragged the boy's limp but still breathing body into the middle of the barn, where he would be easily seen during the looting that was bound to happen soon.

Then, Athinar left the barn. To his alarm, it seemed like some sort of ragtag militia was forming up nearby, and one or two had torches. Did they mean to burn down their own barns and granaries, to deny the invaders the loot? It didn't matter in any case, as before Athinar could move to break them, half of them were killed in a sudden explosion, while the rest quickly dispersed. Athinar looked over to a nearby granary to see a grinning Twich, the kobold having evidently been the one to throw the bomb. Athinar watched in bemusement for a few more moments, seeing Twich carve the master's emblem upon the granary door. As if that's going to do anything, Athinar thought to himself.

Noticing that some of the scattered militia seemed to be trying to flee the village for their lives, Athinar jumped back onto his horse and moved to intercept them. The master had demanded that none be allowed to escape.

What, did you want to collab with me? I'm open to it, since I haven't caught Rtron online today to finish it.

The post I'm working on with him also isn't time specific so I can do other stuff until it's done.
Rtron and I have a collab in progress
