Yeah, that claim is a lot better. I wasn't going to say much for fear of being a hypocrite, but it made me cringe when I saw how almost the entire continent consisted of just the PRK, my nation, and KalMea.

You know, on second thought I'm not that much of a hypocrite. The Commonwealth felt giant when I drew the lines, but it looks like it's now only third biggest. Actually, Verendes with all of their colonies might be bigger than the Commonwealth. *scratches head*

Gunpowder and explosives came from all the way over there? The little Kaliabs inventing that stuff made sense in the last RP, but not in this one.

In the history collab I mention that the Industrial Revolution started in the Moravia region (specifically the Kingdom of Qualia) after the fall of the Holy Roman Moravian Empire. Makes sense since that coincided with the hordes of gnomish immigrants and increased human-dwarf interaction. This history is pretty much lit on fire if we say that gunpowder and explosives wouldn't have even reached the Europe-continent until those colonies appeared near KalMea (speaking of which, wouldn't KalMea be the one colonizing the primitive Europeans without any gunpowder?).

Just FYI, you're surrounded mostly by colonies over there. That place is essentially the Africa of this world.

Granted, your nation could still be industrialized and powerful by this time a la the United States, but you'd be pretty detached from a lot of history and interaction from the nations on the other side of the world.

Moravia is only slightly smaller than the PRK with a population of around 250 million, though with large swathes of desert, jungle, and highlands it's surprisingly urbanized. Also worth mentioning is that with a large dwarven population, the number is somewhat skewed. Dwarves (or at least the ones in my nation) basically age only half as fast as most humans. They're also bigger than humans in terms of weight and sometimes even height.

The Commonwealth isn't socialist in the sense that you're thinking; it has something of a plutocratic oligarchy that hold most of the political weight in the National Party (read: Fascist Party). Any move to become blatantly socialist would both rub against this oligarchy and get you accused of being a Communist, so naturally it wouldn't fly.

They do restrict a lot of imports and have goals of economic independence, and there may be a few state-owned corporations for transportation, utilities, weapon research and production, etc. But beyond that it's all free market.

The main reason that I describe the Commonwealth as a fascist state is because it's extremely nationalist and a dictatorship. There are elections, but aside from the National Party there are just a few minor coalition parties allowed to exist. No opposing parties or candidates are allowed, and nepotism is almost a requirement to receive a high office.

Hey Cyc I was wondering what kind of powers my sword has now because we never discussed it or said anything about its capabilities and I want to know before I post some more because I have a little bit more time on my hand's now.
