Bio

Back when dinosaurs ruled the Earth, I got started with writing online on the Spore forums. Man, those were the days. We're talking like 12 years ago 2010-ish!

I've been here on and off for almost as long, and have GM'd a bunch of different things to varying success.

Word of my splendor:

Oh dear Gods, how will Zephyrion react to that? I'm not sure whether to be excited or afraid

<Snipped quote by Cyclone>

Would that sort of trap even work against a Pantheon of deities?

See, you're already making assumptions and becoming confuzzled. I find it hilarious how Zephyrion, who currently amounts to a somewhat simple and one-dimensional character, can be so bewildering. It makes me feel like I'm doing a good job portraying the insane unpredictable wind god.

This OOC reaction is great, but I have a feeling that it will be even better to see IC what Vulamera and the others thinks when Zephyrion innocuously invites them all over to his house.

<Snipped quote by Cyclone>

Vulamera might not come in person, for fear of traps. Instead maybe she'll send...

...hey, I have found a use for Avatars! Attending awkward parties!

Do it!
<Snipped quote by Cyclone>

I suppose Vulamera will not be in this exclusive get-together?

Yet another example of how you cannot even comprehend his splendor! Oh no, everyone would be cheerily invited. Even Logos. Especially Vulamera and the ones that he doesn't like.

*ominous music*

I can at least promise you that Zeph isn't planning something like the Black Dinner or a feast straight out of Game of Thrones (though with Vestec there all bets are off; anything could happen). Oh no. It's something much better than that.

Jokes aside, useless huh? I guess Ull hasn't really socialized with the other gods as much as Zeph or Vulamera has but it's not like it's his fault. Right now, the only way Ull'Yang could interact with Zephyrion would be through his Avatar. If you want to make anything happen, it's practically the best time now since he left his self to sleep inside Cygnea while he waits for life to mature. A quarter of his consciousness though is still inside the Avatar which is currently in the Deepwood and has been training his spear arts for around 250.000 years or so, taking into account the time difference between his plane and the outside world. Basically, to put it into perspective, he went into seclusion training a little while after the creation of the Hain. All this time, his Avatar was left behind in the Deepwood while his other body was creating his plane.

So it's the best time for interactions right now since he will return his attention to his Avatar and not to his plane.

You're putting the initiative onto me by saying it's a good time if I want to make something happen, but I'll shift it right back to you.

If you want to encounter Zephyrion somehow then I'm more than happy to respond, but right now I have enough ongoing and planned plots to not need to seek out more.

For now I'm okay with Zephyrion having barely interacted with half the pantheon. At some point he'll try to make use of his palace by inviting more or less every deity over and then he'll meet them all.

To be fair, his description of Vulamera isn't entirely wrong. It's a little extreme, but she IS arrogant and prone to prattling

She's not really bad, just not very likeable xD

Zephyrion really isn't stupid and for the most part he doesn't lie or act outright evil.

He's just very judgemental, very opinionated, very quarrelsome, very open about how he doesn't hold himself to the same standards as others (but you still can't call him a hypocrite!), very loud once you've got his attention...

In this case I'd say he's justified in his loathing of her. I actually lean towards him being in the right, because since the start and for next to no reason Vulamera has always been condescending and hostile to him. In addition she demonstrated no good reason for him to think she's actually that intelligent, so she falls into the trap of the other gods that he sees as inactive and useless.

Granted if Zephyrion was a normal person he might just turn the other cheek or try to be nice and make amends and therefore prevent the mutual hatred from escalating as much as it has, but his personality isn't like that.

So of course he's right.
@Cyclone I'm curious... what does he think of Ulyang and Mammon

He's something between neutral and friendly toward Mammon. He can understand the role of Mammon and Vestec better than most, however Mammon hasn't done a whole lot and Zephyrion thinks rather poorly of gods that sit around doing nothing.

Ull'yang is one of those such gods that he hasn't seen contribute anything of value, so while Zephyrion doesn't know whether the guy is agreeable or not he's probably to look on him with some scorn for essentially being "useless".

Either of the two could pretty easily sway Zephyrion's opinion one way or the other if they ever interact with him.

He doesn't like the overly proud

But of course! Pride is the haze in your eyes and the fog that shrouds the beautiful sky; we must hope that Lifprasil has this lesson ingrained into him. His noble and wise master knows no limits to humility, and so by example Zephyrion will make a balanced and virtuous ruler out of his charge.

Vulamera, on the other hand, suffers no end to her pride and her incessant, noxious prattling!

Zeph's Dojo is actively seeking new recruits. Prospective demigods should yell at the sky today, in order to receive a free 30-day trial and Wind-jitsu lessons!

Vakarlon pretty much sees Vestec as this world's version of the guy who brought death and destruction to all Vakarlon held dear.

And what of Zephyrion?

One of these posts I'll have to have Zeph explain to Lifprasil what he thinks is wrong with each and every one of the other gods, and why he's the only one that's a Supreme Being.
So with humans on Galbar, I still don't quite understand a few points. I'd appreciate it if someone could elucidate a couple questions of mine:
-Where do these humans live?
-Are they getting along with the Hain?
-How many of them are on Galbar?

This pertains to the world building that I'm going to do in Zephyrion's corner of the world next turn.
